Southbank Guesthouse  

An excellent guest house, very clean rooms, a friendly and attentive hostess, in the centre of the town, delicious and various breakfasts, which can feed an elephant.

Lovely people very friendly and helpful would not hesitate to stay again

Location was spot on for my needs. It is close to the centre for meals out. Also the B&B is close to my true destination.

A little pricey for a solo traveller.

room was warm and clean,ownerwas very helpfull when van was stuck in car park due to ice,he pulled me out with his 4wd. Breakfast was very good and staff friendly.

Excellent staff, welcoming and friendly, very obliging, they helped us a lot during all our stay. Good breakfast. The place is nice, typical and so are the bedrooms. The bed are comfortable. I recommend that hotel.

The bathrooms also are typical : no mixing valve for the tap. The showers are not good quality. The heating system of the bedrooms is not very efficient but we have very good bedcovers.

located near town centre for shopping,spacious room,good selection for breakfast,staff and guests friendly. Also plenty of parking spaces front and back of guesthouse.

Hard to find fault,only stayed one night,

the room was spacious, clean and warm. The staff were very helpful and the cooked breakfasts delicious. Southbank was value for money and well situated only yards from the city centre. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone that was going to Elgin.

Very pleasant stay, just one wee observation , the tea cups in the room are very small and a bit awkward for making tea with a teabag, mugs would be more appropriate

In our room there was a green light on all night which was quite annoying, this light I assume was for fire regulations , however it could keep some people awake

not very much cleanliness was disgusting.cooking of breakfast should be done without the smell of cooking which stinks your clothes

The reception was friendly & welcoming. The Shower room was exceptional & the rooms in general were comfortable with decent facilities.

While the rooms are clean and the food very good I feel the guest house needs an update.

staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. very comfortable and breakfasts were very very good. if i was a competitor in " four in a bed" i would have scored all catagories 10 out of 10. really enjoyed our stay and hope to return to Southbank Guesthouse in the future.

it was clean the rooms were very good beds comfortable and breakfast was included in price the staff were polite and helpful. i would book there again if i was to go back to elgin in the future.also it was very quiet and restful.

Very central to the town in a quiet side street with onsite parking.Also well positined to explore the Speyside area .An old guest house kept in good condition. We had a very spacious room and very clean .Also onsite parking. The owner was most friendly and helpful.Her breakfasts were great
