The Southbourne Villa    

We enjoyed the short stay very much. I do wish we had more time but it was abusiness trip and we had to get back. The host was friendly and helpful. I would definately go again and have already reccommending to my friends and relatives!

Warm and friendly, family-owned and run. Absolutely spotless and fresh everywhere. Great attention to detail, with every thought given - and demonstrated - to the comfort and ease of the guest in bed room. Particularly appreciated the beautiful en-suite facilities, quality of the beverage tray and the considerate mini-fridge containing fresh milk and two different bottles of quality water- although I had to switch it off overnight as I found it noisy for sleeping. I particularly appreciated the iron and board in bedroom cupboard, to press travel-creased clothes. Thoughtful quality everywhere. Abundant freshly prepared range of fresh fruit at breakfast time - pineapple, strawberries and blueberries - in addition to thoughtful array of cereals, yoghurts and full range of cooked breakfasts. Lovely dining room, beautifully presented everywhere. Helpful, friendly, generous and considerate hosts, of lovely accommodation. Would have really liked to stay longer, but moved on to stay with a friend. Would definitely recommend the Southborne Villa, subject to advice to check out the actual prices first.

On checking out, after one night's B&B, I was surprised to be asked by the owner how much I was paying! That immediately indicated possible price variation, which surprised me - but I said nothing as I presumed I am not up-to-date with the way things work. I answered "£70" as that was my online booking arrangement. It happened that later that day I met a lady who had arrived at Southbourne after I left. She was enthusing about the quality of the accommodation and what good value it was - and told me she was paying £50 per night. Why ? This variation of c.28%, and the fact that the owner asked me what I was paying made me unexpectedly feel at the business end of the stay, just as I was leaving with a rosy glow. So I arrived feeling like a guest and left feeling like a punter - and, after meeting the later guest, I definitely lost the rosy glow.

We both liked the hotel , it was a very nice place .

Extremely clean room with good facilities. The owner couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and was very helpful in recommending activities and restaurants for us to visit.

We were made very welcome. The ambiance was calm and inviting. All very clean with lots of little extras. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and nicely set out.

From the moment we got there we were made to feel welcome .. The room we had was lovely , very clean , nicely decorated and the bed was big and very comfortable .. Breakfast was lovely , nice choice and food was always hot .... I would recommend and if down that wat again would definitely stay again ...

We holiday in torquay a few time a year we thought we'd try a hotel as we usualy stay at carvan parks. Its was a lovly change the staff were friendly the hotel was very nice room was comfy overall would recommend the south bourne to others and would stay there again.

The only negative I can say is the fridge in the room made a lot of noise that truly is all

The room was roomy and comfortable. My breakfast was tasty and fresh. My hosts were kind and attentive in an unobtrusive manner.

The Southbourn Villa Is a very clean and modern Bed and Breakfast We were made extremly welcome and are very grateful to the owners As it was closed season they opened for us. The bedroom was extremly clean and very comfortable The breakfast was excellent and there was a lot to choose from, Myself and my husband would defiantly return there again and would recommend anyone looking for a nice quiet relaxing break with that little extra to go .

Understandably a little disappointed that the outdoor Hot Tub was off for the winter but expected upon booking with the cold weather and economic climate. I also recieved an enjoyable conversation about the Hot Tub from the owner over tea and buscuits upon arrival. I had also recieved an email answering my questions on my booking form with regards to the Hot Tub. Thank you.

Fantastic warm welcome with tea and biscuits. Breakfast was fantastic, rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nothing was to much trouble.
