breakfast good

mattresses on bed,not comfy due to springs coming through. on suite too small,water pressure very low,couldnt really have shower,cistern noisy & took ages to fill up

hotel was ok food not bad host were very friendly

my room was cold bed very lumby

Pleasant and friendly, good value for money.clean,good breakfast.

only a minor fault,but could have a light switch near bed or a night light.this is not a complaint just a recommendation

I liked its location for the pleasure beach and seafront.

Was more expensive than nicer hotels although I had abooked a family room for £82 for 5 with breakfast it was cancelled then had to rebook 2 rooms with only 2 adults and 1 child getting breakfast,when we arrived they gave us the family room at the 2 room price £95 but still only 3 for breakfast.

breakfast was good and served to u quick. staff were friendly

no milk in room for tea and coffee , there was none in room for our arrivel

beer cans and cigarette butts outside the front door, wallpaper and paint hanging off the walls, toilet chain broken, curtains dirty and didnt fit, dirt under the bed along the skirting board, broken door into shower room and shower floor broken, the whole hotel had an awful dirty smell, especially the broken beds that you had to sleep on that caused back pain, i wouldnt recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, to my knowledge it was like a DSS Hostel

The room was very dirty the kettle needed a good wash all mould beds broken and uncomfortable bathroom dirty needed good clean

Location was brilliant had a sea view too, price was great £35 for double room, ensuite. Hotel was lovely and clean.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable.

we didnt like our stay the hotel wasnt very clean the rooms was freezing cold and none of the televisions worked properly there wasnt any room to move around in the room it needs upgrading lots in every area

Room was not bad, for a cheapish price you can't really complain.

I booked 3 separate rooms as there was a party of 9 adults staying at the Southcrest Hotel. I booked 2 Double Rooms (£45 per room - inc breakfast) and a Family Room (£89) which was advertised as sleeping 5 people. On booking.com it does not specify that this is the price for 2 adults and 3 children. I was charged an extra £10 per adult in the family room as there were no children. However, when I had rang booking.com the previous night they said I would not incur any further charges as I was paying in essence for the room, and not the number of people staying in it. So I was disappointed to say the least when we get charged extra. With the extra charges I would recommend staying in other B&B's that are better value for money. The bar area looked like a bomb had hit it. The staff there were using it as a desk for all their paperwork. The beer was all canned beer and it was £3 for a can of Carling, so not great. I have travelled away and slept in manier B&B and I am far from a fussy person, but I must say this is one of the worst places I have stayed at. I wasn't overly impressed at all, and fair enough it was cheap, but I have stayed at far better places for equal and less cost.

I would not stop here again and never tell anyone to go here the room was very mucky and beds are broken

Nothing it was terrible

everything was terrible, i would take this hotel off your list, and to gain a scrached arm from the spring that was coming out of the mattress. disgusting place to stay and would never stay again

the location was just what we looked for the owners were very friendly

the rooms were a bit small for doubles and the toilet never flushed correctly the breakfast on our first morning was cold

Beach front and close to the Tram Stop and amenities.

The Southcrest Hotel ranks as one of the worst I have stayed in, no hot water from the shower even though the owner explained how to switch the hot water on, very small worn out en-suite, a single room with a double bed which had an adjoining internal door to another room, so very loittle privacy, all carpets were extremely worn, the breakfast was cold and unlikely to be cooked that morning, there was no preservatives served for the toast. I looked into the kitchen on the last morning of our stay only to find a filthy and unhygenic work area. To conclude accomodation was over priced, unacceptable and it ruined our weekend in Blackpool.

Really small rooms, very basic, not very clean, bits of cooked breakfast cold,

the breakfast was value for money and got free parking on the main front at the hotel.

the rooms were small but ok as we was out and about.

As it was a last minute booking to join family for weekend it was close to their guest house.

The staff was unfriendly and quit nasty at times, the hotel is in need of decoration, very poor standards, the shower did not work, very poor value for money. I would strongly advise anyone not to stay there, we are so glad we only booked in for 1 night and only went back to sleep as you could not of chilled out there . if u do stay there it will spoil ur holiday

The bedding was spotless and the staff were excellent and friendly. Breakfast was out of this world and well worth staying here.

The room was cramped,peeling wallpaper and the curtains would not close. We would only reccomend this hotel by mentioning all of the above.

Central location

The room was very small and not worth the money as breakfast wasnt even included in price. The carpets were very worn and wallpaper hanging off. We could not get the tele working at all. During the night the room was very hot even with the window open with no air. The whole place needs re vamping or the cost shod come down.

Very bad value for money!small,dirty and cold rooms,rude staff,who sat in the bar area all day watching tv so we couldnt go in there,very poor parking facilities,in which we had to leave the key with the owner to move it if any other cars needed to get out,if he had a bump in it this wouldnt be covered by the insurance,also guests car keys left on view unattended,shower had no hot water,powdered milk instead of fresh in the room,needs complete refurb beds hard and lumpy,breakfast horrible and only served until 9.30 carpets filthy,view from bedroom widow was thee side of another b&b which was covered in bird muck,no hand towels in the room extra charge for making payment via card,we left a day early as couldnt stand it any longer,wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy,total flea pit,complete false advertisment as to what you see on the internet regarding this hotel,i strongly recommend a health inspector visits this establishment!

Close to family

The only thing i liked about the southcrest hotel if you could call it a hotel was the location it was more like a run down B&B

I did not enjoy my stay at the southcrest hotel because the staff member was not helpfull and did not care, and it seemed he was not intreasted in looking after the guests and he was the only one i came a cross the hole time i was there. When we checked in we were charged more for a seaview and he wanted more money if we used are card so we payed cash the place was minging and very dirty, the carpets had not been cleaned for years by the look of them it was dated and chincy he just said your room is upstairs and did not explane where about the room was and did not offer to help us carry are luggage, it was on the top floor,he also reqested are car keys which i found strange in case we blocked some one in the parking was limited and what would happen if he moved my car and scrached it he would not be insured to fix it ,when we got to are room the room door did not seem secure when we put are key in it when in the room the carpets were dirty the bathroom door was a slide door that fell to bits when you moved it the shower cubical was dirty and had cracked tiles and the shower tray was mouldy and dirty the window did not seal propely i had to use toilet paper to block out the wind and i put a towel has well and that was ringing wet in the morning has it had been raining the night before, the telly was old and kept freezing the hole room was discusting and the radiator was cold and on a timer that the hotel staff worked, it was cramped and only one chair and the wordrobe was old dirty and dusty when we went down for breakfast it was disgusting the toast was not done and the full english was horibele the hash brown was stale the bacon cremated and the beans mmm the orange juce was nice if the class was not a fimble it was a bad experiance and ruined my hole time i was there i would not put a dead dog in there and if it was the last place on earth i would still not stay there as i am a nurse i dreaded to think what germs i had picked up and had to shower when i got...

Full English Breakfast at £3 per person - 1 bacon - 1 sausage - 1 egg - 1/2 grilled tomato, cereal, fruit juice, toast, tea and coffee, great value.

The £2.50 debit card charge taken when the deposit was paid and when arriving - adding almost 10% to the cost of the room - there was no mention of this that we saw - pay by cash if you have the funds on you. Tiny room although with a sea view, en-suite and parking on-site for £55 plus £5 debit card charge this was, to be honest a fair price
