Lovely decor modern and light , the shower was excellent and so was the lighting.
The breakfast room was stylish and well thought out!
So clean and the room had a lot of little touches including a dressing gown and a coffee machine and kettle.
I have stayed in 5* all over the world
Grosvenor Lodge is one of the cleanest with attention to detail and an amazing breakfast.

Terrific location close to beauty spot, shops and restaurants and take aways. David was a good host. Very relaxed stay. In a very quiet street. 10/15 minute walk to beach and harbour. Easy to find the house. Easy access to own room via keypad code. Others staying at EF very pleasant to talk with. Host able to suggest activities and places to visit in the area. Able to sleep in and take time to get ready to go out in morning. Facilities as advertised. I watched a fair bit of tv in my room but my stay was in winter months.

Christchurch is a lovely place- my sister moved there 2 years ago and we are a large family so need other accommodation when we visit. The Avon ticked all the boxes and it was like home from home. Close to everything and not far from the beach. It is a beautiful part of Britain and unspoilt which I hadn’t visited before - usually going to Bournemouth. It is a must for families with Avon beach so clean and unspoiled with all the amenities you need. The New Forest is also so close.PamUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Except that the hotel location was too far to walk into Christchurch the town itself is lovely especially the walks alongside of the river. Also as with every location along this coast parking fees are an issue and excessive

Christchurch is basically unchanged and has a village feel...
Christchurch is basically unchanged and has a village feel but also has good shopping and a market on Mondays. The priory and the walks along the river are beautiful. There is also the regent theatre which has a variety of entertainment.SusanAustralia - 10Scored 10

Quaint old town with lovely riverside walk and various interesting old buildings. We had an excellent meal at very reasonable prices at the Lock and Quay restaurant and we liked the Kings Arms hotel for a drink - very friendly staff and lovely, stylish decor.

Only stayed for 1 night, but used to live in the area. Christchurch is a nice town, a little drive from hotel to get there, coffee shops, takeaways and restaurants are all there. Easy drive to Bournemouth. At the hotel there is a little contstant background road noise and plane noise from around 7.00 am, but did not distract from the novel themed hotel and the location.

Large, comfortable, clean rooms, free parking, friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast made this a very enjoyable stay. Highcliffe castle and Highcliffe beach are a short walk away which is an added bonus. As we were going to a wedding Friday evening, the owners kindly accommodated our request for a slightly earlier check-in which was very much appreciated. The blackout blinds are a great addition to the room - home away from home!

Really well located to drive to other places along the coast too. The house was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The quality of furniture and bedding was also great.
