The Hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent. The hotel was really close to the city centre and great for shopping .The car park was very good too with plenty of spaces. |

The non- smoking room was lovely especially the bathroom. High standard of cleanliness. The other room booked for our friends was for smokers and was definitlely down market. Also the phone didn't work. However they paid the same as us. |

When I walked into my room I could smell smoke. I went back to the front desk and they apologized and gave me a new room that was clean and smoke free. Also, I arrive around 12:00 noon coming in from the States. They had changing rooms with showers that allowed me to freshen up prior to going into work as I could not check in at that time. Lack of heath conscious food on the menu. |

The Hotel is in an excellent position for the city centre and has a great bar area for relaxation. The Hotel was incredibly warm which made the room very stuffy. Also, the breakfast was not very good. |

Situation and dare I say "ambionce"...in sutch a big hotel.....plus, and this is rare...smoking in a few bedrooms....yep I'm a smoker, but, you other guys are still catered for. Buffet breakfast was one of the best - wife vegi fresh fruit etc.- me full English and Marmite toast +tomato juice. Pool warm and friendly, apart from you 20 lengthers...I obviously went at the wrong time. All staff Great! - need "real milk" instead instead of UHT no problem! .no...........................apart from the little niggle that others have brought up......the 8 pound a day parking! Why in a four star hotel?........Management please get your mind in gear...........Yes I know that it's cheaper than N.C.P. but it still niggles. Not so good. |

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar had a relaxed atmosphere. Food was of a good quality. Breakfast was very good. Room was acceptable , bed provided a great sleep . Flatscreen TV with freeview. Location was good, with secure parking. Bathroom required a little attention, paint peeling off of door and tiles were a little dirty. Also stains on bedroom carpet. Charge of £8 per day for parking .Not what I would consider 4 star standard. |

The hotel was perfect for our stay, mainly for the location being in the centre of Exeter. We did not eat or spend much time in the hotel but the ambience had a good feel. No, it met all our needs for a 2 day stay. |

The staff were friendly and it is quite a relaxed hotel rather than stuffy. The rooms were quiet and beds comfortable. It is a bit of a cheek charging extra for parking. |

The room was very clean and attractively decorated, as was the rest of the hotel. Brilliant central lacation as well! The only thing that could be done better was the pace of the service during breakfast. We waited over 20 minutes for coffee and toast, and had eaten our breakfast by the time it arrived. The food was tasty though.... |

Rooms were comfortable. Reception and bar areas were pleasant to be in. Bar staff were good. Although we had booked two rooms together, via the Internet, we were told that only one had been booked. We had confirmation of booking two rooms but the Receptionist told us that she did not have this on her computer. She then told us that the only available room was on a different floor. This was not good as my daughter is 14 years old. Managers must make sure that bookings are sent through to the hotel staff correctly. We are encouraged to book on the Internet. If you wish us to continue to do so, make sure your systems work. |

Great location for city centre. Competent 3/4 star hotel with a good breakfast and all the facilities you would expect. Too warm with little ability to regulate temperature (October). |

Everything was absolutely perfect including facilities, staff, location, breakfast, and the room itself. The only thing I thought was maybe a little excessive and perhaps unnecessary was the £8 car parking charge. On top of a £79 room I thought this could be either included in the price or at least a little cheaper. |

Not much The room service menu was wrong, the radio did not work in bathroom, the mini bar was empty, the staff were very unhelpful and did not seem to try and resolve problems (some were nice), |

The hotel is in a superb postion within easy walking distance of the city centre. The staff at reception were polite and very helpful as were the staff in the gym/swimming pool. The breakfast had an appetising array to choose from and was of a good standard. The housekeeping staff were friendly and approachable, and kept the room spotless. I found the room far too hot to sleep comfortably. The temperature control didn't seem to do anything so the only alternative was to have the windows open (the fan at any other setting than 1 was noisy). The problem with the windows being open was that any noise from comings and goings outside echoed up.What is needed here is air con that works. I found the staff serving breakfast not to be up to the standard I expect from a 4 star hotel. When it became slightly crowded they seemed to be totally ineffectual at managing the tea/coffee/toast side of things - not helped by the fact that most of them had a poor grasp of basic English. Please sort the above out - I'd like to come again. |
