Loved the fact it was in the city. Our family live in Exeter, and hopefully if the price is right we will definitely book again. The facilities were excellent, my Grandson loved going swimming in the morning. The parking was expensive.

The staff were very friendly - particularly a waitor and room service boy called Tom. He was polite, respectful and very professional. Staff in the restaurant and bar somewhat disorganised at times

I've stayed in this hotel many times before and it's always been very good. The location is excellent - being ideal for exeter city centre, all the attarctions within the city and rail stations to visit other places nearby. I didn't like being placed in what appeared to be a room for disabled people. The bedroom was fine but the shower was completely open and so water disappeared down a large drain after pooling for a few minutes across half the bathroom. The internet charges were also steep - web access should be free.

Very convenient for The Barnfield Theatre which was the purpose of my trip. Bathroom needed up dating, room smelt quite musty. Found the black and grey decor downstairs very depressing. Found that I didn't want to linger in any of the areas meant for relaxing ie, lounge, bar, restaurant, really quite opressive. Thought the car parking charge was over the top @ £10.00 half of that for guests staying in the hotel would be more appropriate.

Everything was wonderful. We were there for a family wedding close by - I brought friends from London and was able to introduce them to Exeter as I used to live there. The hotel was extremely central for everything we needed. So from reception onwards it was a great experience and we will return. I would not have been happy to pay £15.95 pp for breakfast, but luckily you had a 2 for 1 deal. I do not see how any hotel can justify such a high price for bacon and eggs etc. Extortionate. If I stayed again I would check the breakfast deal - otherwise I would use a local cafe.

The location was excellent and quiet, the staff very pleasant and helpful, the room and bathroom very comfortable( see note below). However, our friends who arrived to spend 2 days with us had a bad room over the swimming pool, so evidently not all your rooms are up to our standard. We had booked a room for 2 people for 5 nights and were given a room with a double bed. After 2 sleepless, cramped nights ( my husband is 6'4'') we asked if there wasn't a room available with 2 twin beds as we assumed that the double was the largest bed you had. We were immediately offered a room with a king bed. We were very pleased to change rooms but wonder why we hadn't been put in it from the first... When your guests book for several nights, you would think you would want them to be as comfortable as possible from the get-go. Next time we will specifically request a king upon booking. This is not a complaint, just a comment...

The location was excellent. The staff were polite and friendly. We have stayed before and eaten there which was very good but this time we preferred choosing somewhere new for a change. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed having a fridge. The problem we had was that we were on the ground floor and dare not open the windows at night for security reasons. There was no air conditioning. If we stay again then we would request a room on a higher floor.

It is situated in Exeter which is a lovely city in a wonderful location - access to seaside, countryside and all sorts of other locations is guaranteed. Hairs in the bathroon - my head is shaved so didn't come from me!!! I like the professionalism of the staff - e.g. on signing in they are always efficent. But a smile and more friendly disposition goes a long way. Maybe it's me but they always seem too professional at the Mecure - but I'll certainly be returning

Generally very good value We were unlucky in arriving during a wedding reception! No problem with the reception, but the drunken guests arguing in the bedrooms late at night was very annoying. The quality of fare served at breakfast seemed to have slipped since our last visit, 4 months ago

Brilliant location - particularly suitable for Graduation Week - good price. Swimming pool and gym a bonus. Despite being in city centre, it was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast excellent. Easy parking was a major reason for choosing this hotel. This would be our first choice if we were visiting Exeter again. Particularly appreciated the fact that the bedrooms were not over heated and temperature could be adjusted to suit. A 5ft double would be more comfortable - Today it is more usual to find a 5ft double bed - your bathrooms are modern and attractive why spoil an otherwise perfect hotel with a small bed.

I had a problem and missed my first day and management could not be courteous enough to assist me and I paid for a day I did not use the facilities and that did not go down well with me.Your information stated that the rates included breakfast that extra was denied and I was quoted a different rate at the reception.I was on my honeymoon and the above facts and the above facts almost spoiled it.

Location to city centre was good, staff were very courteous, rooms very clean, gym/spa facilities very good. Loved the aircon. Bar and foyer floors got very messy (3 weddings in 2 days) and were still messy at breakfast the next morning. Breakfast variety was very good but the Full English was disappointing, (5 out of 10) Sausage quality could be improved, and all food was sitting there getting hard under the lights. No fan in the bathroom.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at (much better than other 5* chains). It ticked all the boxes. The staff were pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms were spotless and we had lovely breakfasts. It is well worth the £10 per day extra for parking on site. The location is wonderful as everywhere is within easy walking distance. Situated next to the ring road you are convenient for roads in every direction. Exeter Council do free guided walks. We enjoyed the free guided boat trip to Double Locks, stopped at the pub, and ambled back along the towpath. A short break turned into a wonderful mini holiday.

Privilege Double room was fantastic, large bed, lovely bathroom and beautiful decor. Spa facilities were nice and the room service was not only good quality but also very reasonably priced. Thank you for a lovely stay. For the price of the hotel, I would have expected free Wi-Fi, whereas it was available for an hour for £5.

Well sited hotel convenient for city centre. Nice room. No bath in en suite. depressing black decor in dining room. Beginning to look shabby. Chipped paint etc. Hotel was very full with a noisy wedding party. The hotel should provide a quite bar where children are not admitted and where adults can sit and talk.
