Room and size of bed, crisp cotton sheets and overall comfort. Thermostat that we could control - a big asset! On a jovial point the bed was that big the wife couldn't find me half the time!
In the evening the public rooms seemed to be too warm. Would suggest pillows of varying firmness. Bed creaked rather loudly!
We stay at Southview on a fairly regular basis. We are always happy with most things it has to offer
was dissapointed, the swimming pool and bar room was not available, but am sure it will be great when it is. A lovely hotel. and will always stay there when visiting Skegness. The grounds are lovely too.
location, comfortable bed.
Noisy guests in adjacent rooms. Dealt with quickly by the manager.
the hotel is always lovley and warm rooms have setee to sit on instead of sitting on bed lounge area is comfortable and welcoming staff friendly
Room, food, space
Cold plates at breakfast
The appearance is very impressive, good sized rooms, facilities, excellent value for money!
Rooms could do with a better clean, and new carpets needed throughout!
On whole satisfactory for cost
Full English breakfast very poor, selection of fresh fruit (some people can not have grapefruit due to medication and not everyone loves prunes)
Staff were very friendly. We had a meal that was excellent on our first night.
Lovely lady in the Orangery
The noise made by other guests
Attractive Nice room Reasonable Breakfast choice
Food not so special. Limited choice for vegetarians - and like so many hotels and restaurants assume vegetarians eat only pasta and salad.
Large comfy room, good facilities, lovely view over the lake, great value for money
The room was too warm even with the heater turned off
We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite (due to a slight problem with our room and a kind manager) which was super and would defo recommend if within your budget. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
the rooms where very nice nice furniture
there was nothing for me to complain about
hotel having returants and bars, convienient for my disabled mother
Food in the resturant was not very good. The facilies for the leisure centre not available due to fire damage, No alternative offered
Most important is cleanliness and every time we have used this hotel it has always been spotless. The staff are lovely, they always have a nice welcome for you and time to pass pleasantries...
The hotel had no pool or gym facilities which were shown on the web page. The hotel said a pool in Skegness centre could be used this was a few miles away hardly what was presented in the hotel information. This break was bought as a treat for a family member and was a disappointment!
we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. nice room and nice space and a comfortable bed and slept well.and it was nice quiet..
there was a little dust here and there but nothing to moan about. we still enjoyed it.
Bar staff friendly location good to Skegness
Toilet took several flushes each time to get rid of toilet paper, window had a gap when closed letting in a draught and being able to hear the noise from the road. Not being told about events going on at time of stay, when walking into a event being stop and told rudely told we need a ticket making us both very embarressed and no information about anything in the hotel room
Price for room was excellent. It was also of a reasonable standard. First receptionist was fine. She changed our room without fuss after we found a problem with a faulty bathroom extractor. If I was in the area again I would definitely stay there, but would probably eat elsewhere.
Checkout receptionist was not very good. She took a long time to acknowledge me while on what was obviously a private phone call. She also sent me to an offsite shop down the road, when there was a shop on the adjoining caravan site. I ordered a very expensive sandwich in the afternoon which took an age to arrive (I think it was forgotten). The restaurant food wasn't great and one of the waitresses was hopeless. Just pointing us to our table and then smashing a glass looking at us as though we needed to help her clear it up.
Liked everything about hotel no complaints whatsoever.
hotel an grounds was very nice breakfast good.
The disable walkin shower room 111 was very dangerous because the water did not stay within the bottom base water cascaded over the egde of the shower base.Which stop me from showering safely.
The hotel was very comfortable and the room well furnished . Staff were very polite and helpful when any questions arose.
Was asked a fee to play golf even though my booking confirmation stated this was included. Was charged 10 pound for breakfast although booking said it was 8 pound. Was told this was due to not prebiotic although confirmation does not state this.
Stayed in a disabled twin room and the facilities were excellent especially the French doors giving access to the car park. As it was out of season we were able to park directly outside which was a great help. Also, the lakes with the swans and ducks provided added interest.
Location of hotel , room facilities and cleanliness, good breakfast
Paid for the ratpack entertainment £10 each ( didn't mind ) but our table was next to group of talking , drinking, guests which meant we were unable to enjoy the show if people want to talk why not just sit in a bar? Also I was told entrance by ticket only but there seemed to be people coming and going at the back of room .
it is clean and tidy the food is good it is a good place to get marred in it has is a bus stop on the site bingo and a small bar the drinks are not to expence
there is on top bar or swimming pool as it has been in a fire and is no longer open.
