The Southwark Rose Hotel is one of London's hidden gems, offering exceptional value for money. The hotel has 84 bedrooms.

One of London's hidden gems the Southwark Rose Hotel is located in the bustling and popular South Bank area less than 200 metres from the Thames. The hotel is within minutes of the Tate Modern, London Eye, Tower Bridge and the financial City of London. All air conditioned rooms are en-suite, have sky television, refreshment facilities, lap top sized safes, iron and ironing board, electric blackout blinds to ensure a good night's sleep, wi-fi, and telephones with modem connections. Our restaurant serves breakfast daily as well as providing an excellent menu every evening for dinner. Guests are also most welcome to our executive lounge bar where you can check e-mails on the Internet, watch the latest sporting channels on the 52' plasma television or make use of our fax and photocopier. Three newly air conditioned conference suites are available with daylight and can accommodate up to 60 persons. There are built-in break out rooms and reception with bar area. Lunch or dinner can be taken in our Executive Lounge on the 6th floor.

not to far to walk into london and you can get a bus or train into middle of the city.

the room was a bit small. could have done with a hand towel there were 2 bath towels. we went to bar to have a drink about 10.30pm on the 6th floor and the bar person seem to take no notice off us, its states the bar is open to 2am, so we went to the hotel next door to have a drink. it states on booking.com and the quest book at the hotel it was £16 for the day we were charged £20

location, rooms acceptable.

Noise, I stayed on the 5th floor and it does seem to be affected by "goings on" up on the 6th floor/roof? Bangs and crunches. At breakfast no hot food, continental only, kitchen power down!!! Other floors may be ok but stay away from 5th if you want peace and quiet.

My wife and I felt safe and secure when we were in the hotel. The staff
were also very friendly and efficient.

In our opinion we felt that the full english breakfast was overpriced
from what we paid on our previous visit in November 2007. a full english
breakfast without proper bacon does not seem right somehow.
