On the edge of Teesside Airport, the hotel is in the old RAF base buildings that was the basis for the modern airport, a lot of which are now being used for commercial purposes. Basic but comfy room, with all you need for a nights stay. Plenty of parking and good wi-fi. There is a restaurant and there are pubs in the area serving food. The breakfast was self service cereals and toast, adequate for one night. I would stay again.
A little off the beaten track.
Friendliness of Staff and location of hotel
Very helpful and friendly owners. and cleaner too. Definitely stay again :)
nice rooms and nice evening meal.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and great value for money. No frills, but then it was everything I expected and a bit more.
It was harder to find than I expected, but that was because my top of the range sat nav tried to get me to take off from the runway .
Easy to find, friendly staff. Quiet location considering it's next to the airport, then I think it's only used for freight so quiet at the weekend. Didn't eat there as we were visiting family but the menu looked good.
Bed was too hard for me, hence slept badly. The cold tap in the bathroom had virtually no pressure making it impossible to cool the shower down enough. Curtains didn't cut enough light out, too thin, and didn't quite meet.
Pleasant and friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable. Good size rooms with great facilities. Well recommended for a short stay..
Nothing really....other than some noisy guests...
good price, clean spacious room. welcoming staff
middle of no where, but we knew this before booking, and this was fine as a base to stay.
friendly and helpful staff; affordable
thin partition walls
Paid about £45 for 1 night stay for two, didn't know the area and driving to it I wasn't sure what I was going to expect but the rooms were clean and staff really friendly. Perfect for what we wanted.
If you don't like dogs then don't go, I didn't expect one to be lying in the reception when we arrived but I'm a dog lover so it didn't bother me but it might put other people off .
Was really pleasantly surprised with this hotel staff very friendly . Rooms very clean and comfortable . Excellent king size bed. And although only continental breakfast was more than adequate and included in price of room . Excellent value for money
Approach to hotel was bit off putting
Friendliness of staff plus really enjoyed the curry I had for dinner.
Very good value for money. The mattress was nice and firm, giving a good night's sleep.
The surrounding area is a bit sparse, but to be honest, that did not bother us.
The staff were obliging and friendly. There wasn't a sound at night. Everything in the room was clean. I liked the white linen and the towels were good. The flower baskets and pots were lovely.
The room was a bit small as was the bed although in all fairness it was a normal size bed. Our bed at home is larger so comparison not so good.
Comfortable friendly family run budget hotel. Although it is next to the airport it is a very quiet location.
Very friendly staff. Lovely food.
The welcome received from the staff, the room, facilities and the breakfast
Nothing at all
Pleasant helpful staff..Food very good value for money. Bar Lounge/Dining room very clean good atmosphere..Ideal contractors venue especially as breakfast starts at 6.00am
Outside looks very tired in need of a coat of paint and very misleading to what the interior is like.
Great value for money. Easy and convenient for food and drink. Very friendly owners.
It isn't posh (but that's no bad thing) and the fixtures and fittings are a bit old fashioned.
The owner was a lovely guy - he took us into nearby Yarm when we went for dinner.
The rooms were tired. The overall cleanliness of the room was fine - but the carpet was stained, and the bathroom had seen better days. You also had to be a midget to reach down to the sink! I think that £45 is a little excessive for a room - I stayed in the Travelodge in town a few miles away and paid half that price for a brand new hotel. The breakfast consisted of toast and cereal, perhaps there was cooked food and we missed it.
ever was ok room clean food good staff nice it was nice stay here again thankyou
rooms were large and comfortable. food good. plenty at breakfast.
bit hard to find even with sat-nav.
Warm welcome, convivial atmosphere in the bar/lounge. Personal welcome and shown to room. Excellent value for money and perfectly located for where I was working.
Not very well signposted...definitely needed my satnav! Carpet in room a little grubby.
