Speedbird Inn Aberdeen Airport  

The location

This hotel is well over priced for a basic provision. They advertised free shuttle bus was it was unavailable when we requested it. The room wasn't even the standard of Premier Inns at about three times the price. Will not be going back or recommending it unless they reduce their price drastically.

It was very convenient to the airport, and our shuttle to the airport in the morning was prompt. It was nice to dine on site. Having a cash machine on site was extremely helpful.

The only negative I can remember is that the computer in the lobby did not work when I needed it. Since our trip was for a family visit, we chose not to travel with our laptops. A working computer would have been helpful, but it wasn't absolutely necessary.

Convenience, shuttle to the airport, great staff, restaurant with great food just a few steps away from the front door, great price from booking ahead.

The bedclothes.... Only one cover (a duvet/comforter) which was too warm even with the heat turned down; and under the sheet was a rubberized pad which caused me to sweat in the warmth. Wish there had been a single sheet in addition to the comforter, and no rubberized pad. Bed WAS comfortable anyway, great mattress.

It is good quality and excellent (airport) location

The hotel was reasonably priced - very clean - reception staff deserve a medal - they were so helpful, pleasant, efficient - what more can I say they were stars.

Location

Very noisy, got little sleep. Use of "plastic" sheets on bed. Bed very small.

Very close to Aberdeen airport - could walk there without having to wait for shuttle buses. Friendly staff, clean facilities. I was able to leave my car in their car park during my trip at a much cheaper rate than other car parks

Ease of getting to the Airport, Breakfast hours, good food and friendly staff.

It was close to airport, and comfortable

The food was poor and not really cut out for children

The the duty manager on the evening/night of my check in was extremely helpful, as was another memebr of staff in dealing with my request.

The day I stayed the original room I was given did not look like it had been serviced, but I have to say that this was out with the usual high standards I have previously encountered when satying here. That said it was quickly dealt with.

Very friendly staff - very convenient location - could actually walk it from the airport if needed.

Rather than a relaxing night at a hotel it felt like a Heliport departure lounge. I felt the receptionist worked for the police. At reception I was asked to pay in advance & not given the possibility of paying everything including drinks in the bar which I had to go outside for. So I had to pay for using the hotel cash machine. Did they forget to give me a survival suit? I had given my credit card No to secure the booking. Turns out they charged me twice & had to refund it. Thankyou Mr Policeman The corridor where rooms are after reception smells like fish. All the way I had to hold my nose.

Very happy. Friendly, helpfull and polite staff. Very clean and comfortable room
