Our hosts were very congenial and friendly, and made us very welcome. They also gave us excellent advice on where to eat locally, and how to get to River Cottage HQ the next day (the reason for our visit). We loved our room which was spotless and had everything we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts both mornings were delicious, and we enjoyedwe the homemade jams. Loved the walk around the dam and the friendly sheep which stood still to have a pat and its ears tickled.
a beautiful location. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Keith gave useful advice about local eateries and attractions. A very pleasant stay and would highly recomend
the room was close to a road and there was some traffic noise but double glazing helped greatly and at night the traffic was very light. Also earplugs were thoughtfully provided. there was no ensuite in my room but the shared bathroom was modern and clean.
Very tasty well cooked breakfast with their own pork sausages and cured bacon plus the friendly welcome from the owners who took every step to make our visit a good one.
The homemade sausages are still something we talk about - they were SO good. The chat in the vegetable garden on self-sustainability was intriguing and the helpfulness in getting a taxi was much appreciated. The birthday song and candle was touching!
The bed was too short for my husband who ended up staying on the floor (which was alright) but with only one shared duvet and no spares I had no covering on the bed.
Warm personal greeting from both Keith and Bridget on our arrival. King size bedroom thoughtfully and tastefully appointed with lovely rural views in three directions. Hosts gave us a wealth of info. about how to enjoy the farm surroundings as well as helpful advice on where best to go out for dinner and places of interest in the region to visit the next day. Home produced, full English breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return to the farm when on another tour of this lovely part of our country.
Not applicable to our visit - even the possible downside for some of an early morning call from the farm Rooster was covered by a thoughtful pack of earplugs in the bedside cabinet!
Homemade jam at breakfast. Good selection of snacks in room. Good suggestions as to venues for supper in the evening.
Sharing the bathroom and having to wait for it.

very friendly owners.
Bridget and Keith, the owners, are really helpful and friendly. They gave us great tips on pubs to visit for dinner each night--interesting places we would never have found on our own. The location is good for exploring the Dorset coast (just a few miles away) while being able to escape the holiday crowds at night. Our room was spacious and immaculate with everything we needed.
The farm's rooster may get you up a bit earlier than you planned.
Very warm welcome. Lovely clean rooms with fantastic country views. Many little thoughtful extras such as fresh milk in thermos in room for coffee/tea etc. Superb breakfast! Thanks Bridget and Keith for a very pleasant stay.
The promise of a Full English Farm House Breakfast with home reared pork sausage and fresh eggs from their own Chickens.
Not able to enter rooms before 4pm!! 2 pieces of thin streaky bacon 1 fried egg, 1 small sausage desert spoon of beans 3 small cherry tomatoes teaspoon full of mushroom !!!!! Cheap concentrated Orange juice.
Full English Breakfast (though small) was tasty. Working farm feel of it all. Huge bed that's comfortable.
Poor water pressure in the shower, rickety shower enclosure, WiFi doesn't work in the room and hardly anywhere else, owners a bit grumpy and not what you'd call warm hosts, loud road that goes straight past the bedroom (earplug s offered), decoration throughout lacking character
Great location between Axminster and the coast for easy access to Lyme Regis, Axmouth, Beer, etc. The owner, Keith, is approachable, easygoing and full of relevant information about the area, great places to eat and visit. Breakfast is amazing - farm raised bacon and sausages and homemade jams, fresh eggs from the chickens and if you want something else, all you have to do is ask.
The rooms are large and comfortable, but the mattress in the ensuite room may not everybody's taste as was extremely soft. We struggled sleeping due to the shape of the mattress and the noise the frame made when trying to get comfy. As everything else was so nice and the owners were fabulous, we didn't mention the mattress and if we came back we would still stay here and enjoy Keith's hospitality.
Would've stayed longer but were in a hurry.
Little or no wifi.
The hosts were professional yet very welcoming, and made myself and my young son feel very much at home. This was particularly appreciated as I am recently bereaved. Everything was done to make our trip run smoothly. Thank you so much.
The breakfast was excellent and we were made to feel very welcombe
The breakfast was great, hosts were warm and friendly and accomodation was good.
Sharing a bathroom with another couple.

Nothing to, dislike
- lovely room and situation - amazing breakfast, all homemade - Bridget and Keith gave us a warm welcome and you immediately felt at ease
- unable to walk to somewhere local in the evening for food/drink
Friendly hospitable host and hostess. Excellent breakfast.
Booked this for a weekend as part of a trip to River Cottage. Excellent stay, everything just right from the warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and friendly, informative hosts. We booked a taxi in advance to take us to RC and it proved to be an efficient and friendly service. If the weather is fine take a glass of something over to the lake and enjoy the sunset, fabulous! Finally, the breakfasts are great with a special mention to Keith's homemade bacon and sausages to Bridget's blackcurrant jam.
We love Bridget and Keith, and their amazing breakfast.
Bridget and Keith are delightful hosts who offer a great breakfast and quiet retreat reception area were one can contemplate their next plan or simply relax.A truly genuine and warm environment to arrive at the end of ones day. Brilliantly located to access stunning areas of interest and as a keen foodie close proximity to River Cottage.A great room and comfy environment with stunning outlook in every direction.
