The receptionist was absolutely lovely, professional and very helpful. Even though I missed my inclusive breakfast she didn't want me to leave with nothing so got me some orange juice before I went on my way bless her.
The stairs wow. I was in room 15 which is on the top floor, I had to climb 7 flights of stairs to get to my room very tiring.
Ease of everything great customer service x
The bathroom almost falls apart. The toilet does not flush well. Bed almost falls apart. Very thin walls, resulting in a lot of trouble noise from the other rooms. Very small room. Very poor breakfast, the demand for a scrambled eggs was refused.
good hot breakfest, comfortable bed & warm room. Good value for money, Paddigton tube station just around the corner
very narrow stairs, no lift
Location Price Breakfast was OK
Decor was shoddy Shower was terrible
Good location to Paddington Station Easy to find Tube stops close Tea & Coffee in room WIFI good Breakfast good
Desk staff (perhaps an owner) was very helpful. (I thought there was a problem, but it was my mistake, and yet he still offered to help.)
The restaurant opened late (staff arrived at 07:00 and the restaurant was supposed to start serving at 07:00). Breakfast was included in the price, but if you're planning a flight, etc., beware.
GREAT AND HELPFUL RECEPTION STAFF! GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!
They had good location and looking to stay again next time.
The room was very small and Im about 6foot 4 tall.
Not sure how they have operating licencing to run the hotel from the local regulating institutions. Dirt, fire hazardous, no help with laugge, no lift, small stairway max. 50 cm in lenght of the stair. Glad came out alive!!
location was good, desk was manned 24 hrs a day
décor was very dated, room was small and in need of cleaning, shower was held up by string, window was difficult to open, bed was uncomfortable with ripped covers, we opted for breakfast and wished we hadn't! 2 cereal options and a full cooked breakfast which looked like it had been cooked hours before and was cold, asked one morning if I could have scrambled egg and was told no, fried only!
Nice area within walking distance to Hyde Park (we stayed for winter wonderland), warm room with hot drinks available. nice hot shower. clean comfy bed & shower room. fantastic breakfast included, with 3 teenage kids who all felt full afterwards, great.
Stain on ceiling & mildew in shower room BUT it was CLEAN.
Very well placed and the price vs quality is proper.
Location is superb. Staff are very friendly and helpful
Bathroom needs updating
Not sure where to start so I will go through my experience in chronological order. Simple requirement - single room with ensuite which is what I got but: Top floor room without lift meant up and down 4 flights of stairs, room was tiny, hot and the widow frame was rotten and sodden making it unclosable. Dingey and so small, it was hard to move around in. It was difficult to find a place to put my suitcase somewhere without me being able to get to things. Uncomfortable bed, very noisy, next to the water tank kept me awake from 5am whenever anyone else in the hotel was showering. Ensuite was also tiny and hard to manoeuvre. No doors or curtain on the shower made the whole bathroom a slippy lino floored wet room. No space or free chairs at a compact breakfast in a basement room (5 flights of stairs this time). Not sure where the full English breakie was sourced from but it almost made me barf.
Wi fi constant and hot water when required!
Damp and unclean throughout the hotel, doors and skirting filthy, no TV facilities (as advertised), bed sheets unclean, breakfast was cheap ingredience, no toilet seat and shower head was black!! Very disappointing with the price charged - VERY MISLEADING from the internet write up and pictures.
Location, price, warm breakfast
Found bugs in my bed, left there with several bites; shower head not clean; floor so uneven, that bed slanted and I felt like falling off; very lumpy bed, very uncomfortable; had to kill a bug in the bed after it bit me, left a bloody stain, came back after a day out and bed just pulled closed, sheets not changed, bed not made properly.
Breakfast finished at 9 am at checkout at 10 am ON SUNDAY. Room was pokey and bathroom tiny. Not very welcoming.
The location was absolutely fantastic, just around the corner from Paddington train station.
Travelling as a single I was upgraded to a triple room which you'd think was great, wrong. The room was right next to reception so you heard everything. The double bed was uncomfortable which kept me awake. The clothes cupboard had someone else's shirt still in it. The shower in the very small shower room had half a door so a shower curtain was hung but it didn't fit very well. The toilet was hard to flush and took at least 5 attempts to do so. I go out and come back in and there's a new person on reception who tells me actually you shouldn't be in the upgraded room which they gave me and that the next day I was being moved to a single room, fair enough, wrong again. It was on the 4th floor up a very narrow flight of stairs. They had taken up my luggage for me only to bring the shirt someone else had left behind. The single bed was lop sided, there was no remote for the TV, the carpet was threadbare, the lino was turning up at the corners, there was no shower door or curtain so water went everywhere. The only good thing about that room, it was warm. Would not recommend this hotel.
Rooms too small Not clean Showers too old
Window broken and winter draught on bed.
The reception staff were good. The Price was right. The Breakfast was good but staff not always concentrating 24 hr service
I was on seventh floor and with no lift probably the smallest room in the hotel but the excercise did me good. Some people would fuss that the TV remote was not there etc BUT I couldn;t care two monkeys about TV. Breakfast staff could have been a little more generous but hey ho.
The bathroom was disgusting. Big whole in the skirting and falling off round the shower . The paint work was peeling off over the shower. Had to turn the shower off before I had finished as the tray was flooding. Another member of our party had to move hotel as the rain had leaked on the bed, staffs first reaction was just to move the bed!!!!! Breakfast was poor!!!! Hotel ordered 2 taxis for us and we were completely ripped off £40 charge . Return journey was only £14 and in the early hours!!!
staff very friendly and helpful good English breakfast bed comfy and clean
bathroom needed to be improved and modernised - but was adequate for my needs
