The recepctionists were very kind and helpfull. I arrived at the Hotel before check in time, but they left me leave my luggage, refresh my self and change clothes (same thing after check out, as my flight was only in the evening). Breakfast could be better, especially if you're not an English breakfast lover (you'll be limited to toasts...). If you prefer, there are lots of bars nearby with cheap options for breakfast... Our room was supposed to be a twin room, but it had a double and a single bed wich we didn't use. Toillet was small but clean enough. Location was great, on a quiet and beautifull area, within a 2 minute walk (maybe less!) from Paddington Railway and underground station, from where you can go everywhere in the centre. There´s also lot's of buses nearby. Overall, it´s not a luxury hotel, but good enough for a short stay, especially if you're not planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel. Breakfast until 9 am but, if you arrive at 8.45 am, probably won't get the "whole package"...

The friendly welcome and helpfulness of the staff - especially reception and dining - was much appreciated. As was the in-room teamaking facility! The Full English Breakfast was an unusual surprise and delicious. This hotel represents the best value for money of any hotel I've stayed in in London. I didn't dislike anything about the Springfield. However, some constructive criticism may be useful. The room I was in was a bit "tired" decor-wise. The tv reception was dreadful! But for me, the biggest negative point was the lack of Wi-Fi. I think these days, there's really no excuse for not having that facility available for guests (free!).

Fantastic location. Room was clean and bed was comfy. As I am not a good sleeper I would have liked more channels on the TV.

Over rated bed and breakfast. It was dirty and uncomfortable. The bathroom was small with very poor lighting. The shower was narrow with very little room to move. In all it was claustrophobia.

The only good thing I can say for this hotel is the location is excellent and the bed was comfortable and seemed clean. The room is completely gross. The carpet looks as though it has never been cleaned, the bathroom although at first glance looked ok, the toilet was disgusting and my husband had to clean it. We didnt even take showers the next day and waited until we got home. They are too small for adults and not clean. There is supposed to be 24 hour Hotel assistance yet when we got back to the hotel at about midnight we had to wait upto 20 minutes for someone to let us in and when I asked where he was I was told I was being rude. I explained that we had been waiting and ringing the bell, even phoning the hotel and it was unacceptable to keep your paying guests waiting outside. I was totally put off by this and thought he was completely out of line. There was no doubt in my mind he was outside on the balcony they have smoking or socializing. I would never stay at this hotel again!!!!

Very quiet so close to Paddington Station. You can get there, towing a large case, in 5 minuters. Close to good restaurants. It is just right for tired travellers on off-peak tickets forced to spend a night in Town!

Only plus point is the convenient location with easy access to transport avenues and restaurants This hotel has only dingy rooms, most of the time boiler is out of order and the guests are left with no hot water. There is no elevator to upper floors and guests have to carry baggages all by themselves through an unusually narrow staircase. Breakfast is hopless and tasteless. Staff is extremely unhelpful with "take it or leave it" attitude.

Location is good, 1-2 minutes from Paddington underground station, there are a lot of people during the whole day and evening around the hotel. Price is lower than in other hotels. Staff are friendly. Only 5 channels on TV, no refrigerator, separate cold and hot water taps (most stupid thing). There was no hot water for 2 days from total 7 days. Breakfast is always the same (each day). The room key has to be left in reception when leaving the hotel. At nights it is very hot inside the room, no fresh air even with window opened because window is on the back yard side and there is no wind. The kettle was with defect - it had to be held with hand for water to boil, otherwise it was just switching off before boiling. Breakfast hours were from 7 to 9 AM, too early.

Excellent location - quiet but very close to tube, shops, restaurants and Kensington Gardens. Nice comfortable beds. Very good and generous breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Good tv in room. Bathroom very small and needed a bit of care and attention E.G. wobbly toilet seat, door didn't quite close properly, shower head had to be hand held. Triple room very small. Very small reception area/lounge.

The location was the only good thing about this hotel It started with our room being occupied at check in. Second room the shower couldn't turn off, bathroom was disgusting. Third room had mould in the bathroom, a toilet that obviously wasn't cleaned well and beds that slanted. The cooked breakfast was unedible. Sausages still raw in the middle, beans hard as rocks. When we complained the response was inadequate. No offer to reduce rates, just "I'll let the cleaners and the cooks know"

The location. Close to Paddington Station. Okay where to start? Unfriendly staff. Billed my cc 2 weeks prior to arrival and then insisted I had not yet paid. No lift, had to haul my luggage up to the top of building. Room was so small that in order to close the door I had to place the luggage on bed. My broom closet is bigger than that room. The shower door was broken and in its place was a plastic curtain that did not close properly. Shower spout was broken and water sprayed through the crack onto the ceiling and over the curtain. Attic room - was oven hot. Opened the window to air out the place - when I returned 2 hours later pigeons had come in. Curtain hung midway over bed. Had to be fastened to the side by closing it into the window.

leaving We stayed in the hotel for two nights at £170 per night. It wasnt good from the start when i went to pay for the room and was informed that there was a 4% credit card charge adding an aditional £14.80 on to my already expensive stay. when in our room we were confronted with a supposed tripple room that with two of us staying there had no room to manover at all. there was no where to place suitcases other than on our beds. No air con so the windowe had to be left wide open to try and get some fresh air in to the stuffy little room. The two pillows supplied on the double were wafer thin when asked at reception i was greated with a "no we dont have any more pillows." anyone would have thought i was asking for arm. Only two channels were tuned in. so again when asked to put right at reception i was greeted with "re tune it yourself!" i was then faced with a password. Breakfast was a joke and the best bit was the orange juice. In summery this room was more like a hostal and was massivly over priced. I payed £170 if i was to stay here again i would only pay a maximum og £40 per night. shocking hotel.

Very convenient for Tube and local facilities. Good neighbourhood. Comparitively good value for money. For what I needed it suited me well. Very long haul to top floor up narrow stairs. Being an attic room under a sloping roof, the hotel had used some sort of hooks to hold back the curtains. One was broken and when I was trying to lean over and close the window I cut my forehead on it. No shower curtain.
