everything.Excellent facilities for a bed and breakfast
Everything was lovely. We arrived after midnight and the owner still greeted us with a big smile. We had a lovely room with lovely views of the horses in the paddocks. Décor was perfect. within walking distance from the harbour, pubs & shops
nothing apart from leaving to go home
We have stayed 3 times at Springwood now, in 2 different rooms, and enjoyed each visit. We appreciate the following aspects:- Excellent breakfast choices Friendly helpful hosts Comfortable room Good shower Ample off street parking Large guest lounge with games and books
We did not mind the 10 minute walk into Seahouses, but it might be an issue for some.
Excellent value for money, great hosts, could not do enough for you, pristine room, excellent view and accommodation, breakfast top class. Overall spot on.
The finest of details have gone into creating a stay we will remember and of course repeat, as we have no doubts we will return. We had a stunning room, extremely beautiful yet comfortable with the added extra of amazing views. We particularly loved the full breakfasts which are a must before a busy day. I loved the added extras on the room of slippers, a robe, mini brownies, chocs and real milk for my tea in the fridge. The stables were to the side of the house and it was a pleasure to watch how happy all the riders and horses were. The owners did anything and everything to ensure our 5 star stay was just that.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Springwood. Marion and Ian were very welcoming and hospitable. Our room was very comfortable with nice little touches such as binoculars, fresh milk and cakes every day. Lovely views of the sea and horses in the paddock. Breakfasts were excellent, I tried the kipper cakes and was not disappointed. Would definitely visit again and thoroughly recommend.
The setting, location, friendliness, helpfulness, standards of tasteful furnishing, the spacious bathroom, attention to detail, the very personal touches (home made biscuits every day in your room!)
The mattress was a bit too soft for our backs.
Peaceful nice and quiet very clean and comfortable. Nice to have a fridge in the room.
We stayed in a room which did not include breakfast which we knew about but as breakfast is included for rooms in the main house think an extra table could be laid on for the outside room guests for the cost of the room. This would enhance the stay.
Brill service and location , the room was the best we have stayed in the finishing touches such as cake and fresh milk every day made the whole stay something we will defiantly repeat .
Marian and Ian were simply amazing. They made Springwood feel like home and had everything covered in their information book. They offered great conversation and interesting points of history and trivia in the area. This is definitely a must go place to add to the travel list.
That we had to leave.
Within walking distance of Seahouses but not close enough to be disturbed by people leaving the local pubs/restaurants at closing time. Ideal for horse lovers (stables on site) and walkers ( Springwood on edge of village). Breakfast's that set you up for the day!
Good hosts Nice and quiet
Comfortable room with patio looking across horses paddock towards sea. Friendly helpful owners.
The option of breakfast would have been nice but only 10 mins stroll to town with plenty of cafes.
The room was beautiful, we had the lovely little balcony overlooking the fields with the sheep and the horses. Breakfast was good and our hosts were welcoming and helpful.
Still feel we paid a lot of money.
Bedroom was lovely nice touches fresh milk in fridge not UHT nice home made treats each day to have with our cuppa.
Nothing negative for the accommodation.
A lovely spot, just far enough from the small town to be quiet, yet near enough to all the local facilities. We were welcomed by Marion who showed us round the house before taking us to our spacious and comfy room. A home-made treat lay on the tea-tray and chocolate mints on the bed-side table. Little touches that were very welcome. Each morning we had the most delicious breakfast we'd ever eaten in a pleasant dining room overlooking the fields and their equestrian centre. We would thoroughly recommend Springwood as a place not to be missed.
Excellent location and facilities. Pleasant owners made us feel very welcome.
Fantastic weekend break from start to finish! We were given a warm welcome from Ian who showed us around then took us up to our room which was beautiful. Superb decor and furnishings and spotlessly clean. Amazing views over surrounding fields with sea view. Marion cooked us delicious breakfasts which set us up for the day. Perfect location with so much to do and see. Riding facilities were excellent. I hadn't ridden for a few years but booked a lesson/ride and was given great tuition from Paula. Ian and Marion were the perfect hosts. Gave us great advice on where to visit and eat out. Will definitely stay with them again!
A great place to stay, Friendly, spotlessly clean, a very good breakfast and a comfortable bed what more could you ask for we will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

From the moment of arriving a warm welcome was given,Marion was very informative and spot on with judgement. We were shown to beautiful room with beautiful little touches in room as in fridge, fresh milk, little homemade cakes, homely furnishurnings and beautiful decor with lovely balcony across from riding stables all go a long way.A lovely short stroll into seahouses try out Italian on the way called Elan simple tasty Italian cooking and you can bring your own alchohol spot on place.Breakfast was beautiful and just about everything is catered for by attentive hosts who cant do enough for you. This place is a gem and worth every penny for a peaceful homely relaxing stay.Well done Marion and Ian,thank you.
Nothing no faults.
Everything was done to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even with little extras we didn't expect. We would definitely recommend and would stay again if re-visiting the area.
