Food was excellent - room was warm well decorated - bed large and comfortable wet room well equipped
Lack of attention to hygiene in accommodation in particular wet room - toilet was not cleaned nor bin not emptied during our stay
Everything and a lovely peaceful location
We loved the room and huge comfy bed, super bathroom too all very modern and spacious. Great pub food, good value, good menu choice with delcious puds!
For a country pub, excellent facilities, Very clean rooms, comfy bed. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food excellent. For my purpose the location was good a few minutes drive to Taunton. Only just over an hour from Bristol Airport. Will visit again next time in UK
Excellent value for money, accommodation and food excellent, would recommend,
Overall size of the stables are excellent They are roomy and comfortable
Breakfast was poor. The bacon was old and hard. It was left overs from the buffet the night before. My kippers were excellent. Have not seen margarine served for ages!
Room, Bed, wet room, staff, food - really everything!
Staff, pub, food and room were all excellent.
Everything. Lovely country pub in beautiful countryside. Large room in converted stable block. The biggest bed that I have ever seen - 6ft wide! Deep long bath. Open shower - wetroom style. Delicious food. Lovely staff. As soon as I pulled up, a lady greeted me, before I'd even got out of the car! She said I could park literally outside the door of my room. She showed me around and explained how everything worked. I will definitely be booking to stay there again.
The bed was amazingly comfortable :) Great breakfast. Good value for money. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Good value and very good food
The rooms were very private away from the pub. As a solo traveler I felt very secure. There were a lot of dogs around which was nice as long as you like them *which I do.
Pub maybe needs a little decorating but didn't make any difference to my stay.
. The room was so big, clean and bright and the bed really comfortable. It had a walk in shower as well as a bath, so unusual nowadays to have both. The food in the pub was outstanding and so reasonably priced. The fact that you could take your dog with you into the bar to have your meal was an added bonus. Our dog is a rescue one so we were not sure how he would react , he enjoyed the fuss made of him. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back .
The host was very friendly and luckily booked us in for Dinner as it was quite rural. The food was excellent and portion control was rather large! Nice small pub with local cider on sale.
I indicated that I would pay by cash, yet when I asked for my bill, found it had been taken out of my Bank Card, despite the information on the website, saying it would only be used as a holding card! So I had no idea of what had been taken out as payment for board and meals. Not best pleased with this! But only gripe.
Staff were very nice. Food outstanding.Great location. Although not perfect I do think it is good value for the money.
Could have been cleaner. Cups were just rinsed under tap and still stained. Quilt cover would have looked better if ironed.
Good food, friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stay, we will definitely go again. It is a little gem.
We were in a rush and it took a few minutes to find someone we could settle the bill with. In retrospect we should have sorted the bill the night before.
We stayed three nights with two labradors one of which was a very young dog. Nothing was a problem. There location was ideal with a field to walk the dogs in next to the pub and also great local walks. The saff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food was fab from the huge and plentiful breakfast choice and the huge and delicious and good value for money evening meals.
The accommodation suited us to a tee withdrawn a huge bed and spacious room and big bathroom. I would ld say if I had to be critical that the bedding and towels were looking a bit tired and the taps in the bathroom could have done with a wipe but the good far outweighed the bad and we would happily stay there again and were not disappointed.
The accommodation was spacious, clean and very well appointed. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive to needs, especially in the quaint old country pub where the food was excellent and at reasonable prices. We have two terriers and there is a large paddock on site where dogs can be safely walked. All-in-all, a very enjoyable place to stay.
No complaints at all.
Friendliness of staff, quality of accommodation, quality of food, and all at a reasonable cost.
Very nice roomy accomodation. Spotlessly clean. Friendly welcome and service. Robust breakfast, tasty well cooked food. Huge superking bed, so comfy I could have slept for a week.
Was lovely to be able to take the dogs to dinner without any fuss. We were all made to feel very welcome by the very frirndly and helpful staff.Theg went out of the way to be helpful. The rooms are of a really good standard with lovely bathroom and comfortable bed.
Could do with a deep clean to get rid of the cobwebs although I know we are fussy and it is the countryside!
Large comfy beds, walk in shower, TV & tea/coffee in room. Rooms are part of the pub where they serve good pub food, and breakfast was substantial.
The food menu needs to change at least some of the items, it would be good if they were serving and showcasing local produce.
Owners were lovely, food excellent, accommodation very good but I think they would be wise to purchase new well fitting sheets. Overall, lovely gem in a secluded country setting.
New, well fitted sheets needed on single beds They did not fit properly.
Good sized room with desk and spacious bathroom. WiFi in room worked great. Breakfast was freshly cooked and everything was brought to the table, even the cereal & orange juice. I would stay here again in the future.
Good old fashioned care, comfort and profesionalisim. Was made to feel very welcome as soon as I pulled up on the car park.Food was excelent and a fair price. Room was a good size and well maintained, bathroom was a walk in type wet room very good shower. They do have variouse types of entertainment booked but not on the night I stayed. Wish I could have stayed longer
