The Square was without doubt was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I was lucky enough to have stayed in room 5 which to compliment the sea views had an exquisite bedroom with the most comfortable bed and luxurious furnishings. The bathroom is truly stunning in every respect... The breakfast was a choice of fruits, pasteries, croissant, meats and cheeses, perfect coffee and so much more.. A welcome change to the usual full English.. In a nut shell the Square is truly beautiful - Thank you... An electric socket close to a mirror would have made life a little easier. This is by no means a just a practical observation.

The hotel was gorgeous! We stayed in a room higher up with a great view; we grew quite accustomed to waking up to a sea view. We were really impressed with the standard of the hotel. The bathroom was spotless and again it had a view of the sea. The bed was really comfortable and the room was nice and spacious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a continental breakfast included which was the best continental breakfast we’ve had in a long time when going away – the fruit tasted really fresh and they had a great selection of breads and cold cooked meats and cheese. We love Brighton and decided to spend our 1st wedding anniversary there - the hotel were so accommodating they even threw in a complimentary bottle of champagne! Nothing but great things to stay about this hotel. We will definitely be coming back!! If I had to be really picky and think of something it would probably be that the windows outside weren’t that clean – they had some spots of bird poo. But it really is hard to fault this hotel.

I stayed in the Deluxe, Superior King room and thought it was excellent value for money! Beautifully designed, the bed was comfy very clean, extra seating area and the bathroom was beautiful! I especially liked the big bath! You could also view the sea from the window which I wasn't expecting at all and given the price I thought was excellent for the location, the seaview and the room itself. I've stayed in a few hotels in Brighton before which cost considerably more, and they do not compare to Square! Absolutely perfect for couples!

The location was perfect and the staff really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very nice and service was excellent. It looked a little bit tired round the edges and the showers were not all hot on the second day, this did seem to have only just happened though and the staff were very sorry.

Friendly staff and a good hotel in a quieter part of Brighton. Stairs could be an issue if elderly. Would highly recommend. Giles

The location was good. Liked the fact that is was near to local pubs and restaurants. The hotel was small but nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. There was everything that you needed for a fully satisfying continental breakfast. Just a few little niggles that did not interfere with the overall enjoyment. Doors on wardrobe did not shut properly and would have liked more wardrobe space, especially for long hanging items. The hairdryer lead was not long enough to be able to use with a mirror.

Boutique hotel, excellent location just off front with sea views from room (Rm2) less than five minutes walk to Pier & Lanes. Room is palatial split between bedroom & large bathroom, which all-in-all suitable impressed partner. Stylish room, comfortable bed and enormous bath all made for a great stay over.

Very convenient for shopping, beach and night life. Liked it's querkiness. Although the continent al breakfast was good. For the price I'd have liked a cooked breakfast option.

Totally gorgeous! Staff were so lovely and our room was amazing! Everything was perfect can't fault it at all. Really lovely to saty somewhere so different where someone has clearly thought about what customers want. Exceptional attention to detail. Looked a bit tired from the outside which might put people off! Inside is a completely different story.

Good location, excellent continental breakfast (lots of fresh fruit etc), helpful friendly receptionist, a bar (which we didn't use but could be useful). Well-designed room, but the one we had was rather cramped, with a small double bed. A bit overheated & unable to open windows. If we stay again, we'll ask for a king-sized bedroom.

The welcome was fantastic and the lack of choice at breakfast was more than made up by the presentation of the food and the attitude of the staff. For Brighton at weekend the hotel was very quiet. There was no proper, comfortable sitting room so that being in the hotel meant only sitting in the bedroom. The bathroom was poor and the door didn't shut. There was no real privacy in the toilet. The room was an attic room with a window to a fire escape. It is difficult to imagine senior people getting through the window in an emergency.
