Artistic Comfortable Friendly
TV was temperamental Room abit small Pricey
Amazing facilities, lovely room, amazing location with a sea view! Very clean and comfortable. We loved the bath! Can't wait to stay again! X
I don't have anything negative to say really! Only it was fairly loud outside around 1am when the pubs shut!
Very clean & comfortable room Great location
we booked square as we were going to the wedding present weekend festival at concorde 2. its a short walk to the venue, and also very close to the beach, and town. very welcoming on arrival, we were shown our room, very nice, firm bed, nice shower, tv worked. there was a mini bar, although we didn't use it, enough tea and coffee etc. there was also a view of the sea, sort of. we will definitely be coming back to square next year for the festival, and hope to stay for a few more days, and will bring friends.
The room was lovely with great modern decor. The staff was the friendliest and was very honest with everything.
The room has 60 steps to the our room which was on the top floor, although this is the design of the dated buildings. There is no way of getting a lift built.
I like the comfort, the bathroom, the room. It s very clean. It's fantastic.
The floor is not in good level and because of my sickness, I cdnot enjoy my holiday on it. I became dessy.
I liked the bathroom. Very nice
The room needed some paint work and maintenance
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient as it's so close to the Esplanade and town centre, and you can see the sea if you're at the front of the hotel. The room size was good although we did pay more for a larger superior room. There is tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge/mini bar.
I think the rooms are overpriced for what they are and for the service they are offering. They are clearly aiming for the boutique hotel market but they need to up their game if so. You can see that although the hotel and decor is in fair condition it does need money spending on it. Apparently it has just changed ownership and the new owner plans to refurbish over winter 2014. It can be noisy at night due to revellers outside, but that's Brighton. There are no staff there overnight so if you have neighbours who are being noisy you could have a bad time. Luckily we were fine. I was not a fan of the erotic art on the walls. I thought it made the place feel seedy, as did the huge mirror which was strategically placed directly at the foot of the bed - there was no avoiding that one. The bathroom is not private as there is a floor to ceiling window panel between it and the bedroom. They currently only serve a continental breakfast which was also overpriced. I saw the rolls and croissants I was served later in the Co-op a few meters up the road priced at four for £1, so I felt bit ripped off. They also need to sort their drains out as there were a few unpleasant wafts coming up from the plug holes in the bathroom.
its location is perfect, not far from the beach and centre of the town. If you want quiet, british place, Square will be for you.
My sister & I spent a night only, and enjoyed it. The location is perfect, the staff are amazing, and the rooms are modern and very clean! Would come back here again ^_^
Finding a park can be a hassle at this location.
Noise Rooms were too hot
No English breakfast for the price they charge
Brighton was nice
Room over priced top floor no wifi up stairs and no hot water total crap.
Excellent position with nice view. Close to everything we needed. Very friendly staff. Good size room with wonderful bathroom. Will definately stay again.
Pretty much everything. My girlfriend's pleased reaction to the room. Friendly staff. Relaxing.
The location is great, rooms lovely. Our bed was really comfortable & the huge bath tub was nice for us to relax in together. The room was clean & the staff/man on reception who unfortunately I've forgot his name was brilliant! He was able to recommend us where to go, ordered us cabs & really looked after us on our anniversary with a surprise in the room when we arrived which was a really nice touch! Can't recommend the place enough & the guy on reception did make it that bit extra special! So thanks to him if he's reading.
We arrived slightly later than morning which we'd hoped to arrive by & parking is available right outside the hotel but the hotel itself has no parking meaning you have to pay £10 a day & spaces were taken up. So make sure you get there early! A tip if struggling for a space like us is to maybe ask one the hotels opposite if they can allow you to park there. We did & they charged us £10 but it meant we could still park across the road rather than looking elsewhere which can prove difficult.
I liked all of the things at The Square. It was easy to find, located very close to the promenade near the pier.
Very helpful staff. Comfortable and clean and perfectly located. You will be fine here.
Its a little bit boxy and I feel it was too expensive by about £30. I would stay there again but I would be sure to get a lower price.
Good location for all attractions. Friendly staff, comfortable bed and clean.
Glass sliding door to toilet/shower room did not fit properly, so not much privacy. Could do with a bit of refurbishment, which from speaking to staff is due to be done over winter.
The square is really nice. Excellent location and great service. Beds comfortable however the lack of double glazing which is the same for most b&bs means that you hear everything from outside. Including the mating seagulls which kept us up all night! Other than that would come again
Fantastic location, just off the main esplanade and great for the interesting bars and restaurants on St James Street. We swam in the sea and were showering in the bedroom minutes later.
Downside is that it gets a little noisy outside late at night. But what the heck - it's Brighton - you don't go there for peace and quiet
I liked the location and the staff were very friendly.
I did not like the fact that there was not a full length mirror in the room. The only mirror was very high and I could just about see the top of my head. I didn't like the cracks in the floor tiles in bathroom and the bathroom door was broken, so very noisy. I did not like that the toiletries were advertised as Molton Brown when they clearly were not Molton Brown. The hand cream was like water!
I loves the fact it was quiet quirky, and v close to shops bars and eating places!
The room could have done with more of a dressing table to do hair and make up better
Very friendly helpful staff and a lovely bright clean room
Size of room Helpful friendly staff Brightness of room
Bathroom not private Curtains allowed too much light in
