Location Very clean
Everything was ok. Nice room, good food
no evening meal and loud traffic noise
Responsiveness of hotel for a ground-floor room. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff. Nearness to city centre. Free parking
Single room was a bit too tight and pokey.
Friendly staff, good food and a place to store my bike
Good access with car from road, good wifi, could change room
Very noisy as very close to busy road, very basic small room and facilities.
5 minute walk to Quay with lovely original shops and bars. From there walk into city centre. We had room at back but think rooms at front probably noisey as on main road. Also opposite Aldi so was able to stock up for onward journey to Cornwall. Lovely breakfast and staff all very helpful and polite. Recommended.
As only one night didn't find any negatives.
pleasant young girl receptionist
Very small room, very hot but main road noise if we opened the window.Smallest wardrobe I have seen in my life.Space between the beds/walls is ridiculous.
Location, cleanliness ,staff decor
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent
Location, free wifi, breakfast, friendly staff
Lovely dining room Waitress very friendly Very nice breakfast Very clean good bed Close to river and esplanade with restaurants M&S close
Reception staff was not very friendly Two flights of stairs and no lift for when carrying bags Room was warm
Very good location in the area of old Victorian houses. City center within a walking distance. Hotel own parking behind the house.
Heavy traffic in front of the hotel in the morning.
Plenty of parking and fairly quiet at night.
Dead flies on bedroom window sill. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows awful - very hard and flat. I requested a different pillow on the second night and it wasn't an improvement. The bedding was patterned and blue and the pillows smelt unclean. I am distrustful of non white bedding as it can hide a multitude of sins and I felt this a correct assumption here. At breakfast the fruit (grapefruit) was tinned and my friend asked for lemon in her tea to be told that they didn't have any lemon. No alternative was offered. How can a hotel not have a lemon in this day and age? I wouldn't have minded this all so much if the hotel was cheaper but I would certainly find a better bed and breakfast for an equivalent price next time.
Good location with parkin Clean with attractive décor Decent breakfast
very clean, breakfast was great, plenty of choice.Staff were very very good, nothing was to much trouble
Our room was far to hot even though there was a fan in there. Also needs a lift for the third floor,as anyone with walking problems ie bad legs, breathing problems, should be told before booking.
Accommodations for three were not very good.
Very clean. Great breakfast but plate was far too hot (scalding). Nice, bright breakfast room.
Extremely hot rooms with no offer of a fan although I didn't think to ask for one. Lack of bottled water in the room. Iron and ironing board on the landing for general use. Staff were efficient but could take more of a personal interest in their guests.
Lovely new shower, very clean bathroom. reasonable breakfast with very nice waitress.Pleasant atmosphere, nice airy hotel well maintained.Polite professional staff.
The bedding was blue (not white) , which is always a bit suspect. I made the mistake of sniffing it.... the pillows were very smelly (the sheet was ok). I went down to ask for fresh pillow slips . I was also offered fresh pillow covers. on changing the linen it was apparent that the covers were very sweatstained and stale. As I have been a chambermaid in the past I find this quite unacceptable! Now way is this 4* standard... or even 3*.
polite and helpful staff good breakfast choice comfortable rooms
no air conditioning not in walking distance to town
The room was very very small and not good
Efficient young staff, very helpful. Very good breakfast brought piping-hot to the table. Walking distance to city & cathedral.
En-suite to single room was very small.
Good location of hotel close to town, clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was also good.
Traffic noise at night - had to keep the windows closed. Lack of air conditioning meant room was very warm.
Clean, excellent breakfast
All the staff were foreign
Quality of cleanliness and staff
Noise from road
Nice friendly staff, good breakfast.
Squeaky doors in hallway.
