My sister and I arrived earlier than the designated check in time and were greeted by a lovely staff member (Chris). He assured us that he would clean our room first in order for us to check in early. He also helped to carry our bags to our room and refused a tip. He was extremely accommodating and friendly. Thank you Chris X

Nothing that we didn't like.

Lovely Victorian house with traditional decor. Warm, cosy and clean. We did not take breakfast as coffee in the room was already provided. The owners were very nice. We enjoyed the free drink in the bar.

We liked everything

We had a warm welcome despite our late arrival due to bad weather and the ferry docking late. The room was warm and comfortable, and a very good price. The cheapest we could find online. Facilities in the room were still good for the price, plus tea and coffee tray with postres. We liked it very much.

central to all amenities

There was a notice stating reception open 4.30 to 9pm for arrivals but a note saying that no-one on reception. Finally at 6.30pm (after arriving at 4.30pm) we phoned the mobile number and was then greeted by someone from in another guest house.

Each room had it's own bathroom. The location was really great and close to restaurants, pubs and shopping.

Climbing three flights of stairs with luggage wasn't fun as well breakfast was not included with the price.

Very good location near town centre. Clean and pretty room number 8.

No parking, do you need to park next street (which is one way), and parking is not free mon-sat from 9 am to 6 pm.

Had to pay for parking as couldn't get parking on the street, no-one there when you arrive you had to go next door and ring the bell which wasn't very good as I had 2 children with me. The cook/chef complained that we were early for breakfast when we were infact 5 mins early which I didn't think would be a problem and the breakfasts did not infact go out until 15 mins after they were supposed to and there was no sugar on any of the tables when the tea eventually went out, the sausages were rank and even the cook said so when he served them up. Advertised that there was free wi-fi although infact you could only access wi-fi in the more expensive rooms or in the sitting area when infact it couldn't be accessed at all. Couln't get the tv in my fathers room to work at all and you had to go look for someone so gave up, Even though I found small things wrong it is still a nice b & b.

There wasn't anything that I liked about this guesthouse.

The guesthouse was very poor, the facilities were very basic and aimed as a budget b & b so for the price we were charged it was over priced. The shower stopped working halfway through my wifes shower and when I complained, I was told nothing that they could do and I then was unable to have a shower at all.The owner is not on the premises and just employes staff to deal with all the complaints, but isn't interested in offering any service or ensuring customers satisfaction. My advice is not to stay here if you can.

There was nothing to recommend it. It was overpriced and the receptionist was less than welcoming after we had endured a hard days travelling. The TV did not work nor did the Internet. It was overpriced at 77 pounds a night especially when there were no parking facilities. We had originally booked for three nights but after the first we cancelled the next two nights and moved to a superior and cheaper B&B.

Grossly over priced for the accommodation. I have stayed in many, many b & b accommodations and I would certainly not recommend this one. It was stated on the website that we had booked Breakfast so we assumed being Scotland it would be a full breakfast but it was not and we were asked to pay a further £2 each adding up to £9 each for breakfast. We did not breakfast there as we felt we were being ripped off.The total would have been £97. All our scottish friends say that is extortionate and one friend works inspecting holiday property. Also parking was a distance away in a public car park.

This Guest House did not meet expectations with regards to facilities and cleanliness. The room was shabby, the bedding unclean and the room was certainly not ‘bright and spacious’ as advertised. The tv did not work. The ‘shared bathroom’ was unexpected and the force of the shower was poor to say the least. The ‘free tea & coffee’ had to be made in a shared kitchen and was not conveniently in the room, as is the norm. The late service time for the cooked breakfast (09.00 pm) was not convenient and was not in the advertised details.

avoid at all costs, arranged to be there at about 10pm but was not able to gain access to the building until 11pm even though they knew we had a two year old and 5 year old with us. That to me is unexceptable. Not even a sorry from them. They were terrible

Easy access to the city center, but that's all...

The rooms need a makeover! For the price I paid, I expected something better. It's a very poor value for money, and you feel that's a tourist trap. It maybe worth to try finding something a little bit outside of the town, but with more authencity. I wouldn't recommend this place. Sorry, but we were very disappointed by the room.

The main floor location. Room spacious and faced the sea.

No hot water in bathroom sink. Cold bathroom across the hall from bedroom. Our booking with bookings.com was lost but we did have the confirmation.

Situation géographique correcte sachant qu'Oban est un bourg. attn ce B&B a pris un accompte et a contesté son montant à l'arrivée : nous devions prouver la somme déjà versée, il a fallu discuter. de plus en UK les cartes de crédit ne sont pas tjrs acceptées car elles engendrent des frais pour celui qui reçoit le paiment et donc nous avons dû payer ces frais (en UK il existe des cartes de débit pour lesquelles il n'y a pas de frais bancaires). Le petit déj continental est trés léger.

Il a fallu prouver le montant de l'accompte que le B&B avait déjà prélevé sur la carte de crédit, de plus ayant une carte de crédit et non de débit (comme cela existe en UK) nous avons dû payer les frais bancaires correspondants.

La recepcionista antipática de sonrisa forzada. La suciedad escondida. El sistema eléctrico deficiente: el agua se acaba cuando varios huéspedes se duchan al mismo tiempo.

Nada. Lo único que se puede decir es que está en un lugar precioso. He viajado mucho y Oban es uno de los lugares más hermosos que he visto en mi vida.

Estuvimos en esta casa durante dos días y solamente encontramos al responsable la última mañana. La ducha estaba pegada con una cinta adhesiva mal colocada, la cama era muy mala, la conexión al internet no funcionaba. Total, un desastre. Los dueños no eran escoceses, sino de otra zona del Reino Unido (por su acento) y no tenían ni idea de lo que es la hospitalidad de las Highlands (Tierras Altas de Escocia) . Por favor, eliminad este hotel de las listas de Booking,com. He estado siempre encantado con Booking.com (utilizo Booking com muy a menudo) y esta casa, francamente, no es digna de pertenecer a vuestras listas. Puedo escribir este comentario en inglés si hace falta.
