Very central location in Oban, ideal for trips to Isle of Mull, Isle of Iona, Glencoe, etc. It was very clean and well maintained

The room was very small indeed, but I'd still consider it good value for money The breakfast option seemed rather expensive, so we just paid for the room and had breakfast in a local café, which was cheaper

In town, convenient if no car, quite quiet

Disorganized, small room , dirty carpet, nobody was availing themselves of breakfast. Wonder why? Manageress was not welcoming , seemed out of her league, never saw her after first encounter. Showers were dangerous. Water would run hot then cold alternating every 10 seconds or so. When it got hot it was far too hot .

    The location to the downtown

When we got to the hotel we were two couples. The girl at the desk was so business like and unfriendly we were discouraged and if we hadn't prebooked with booking.com we would not have stayed there. We knew we would have to pay because of the cancellation clause. She didn't look up at us and kept going through sheets of paper trying to find our bookings. She found our friend's and not ours. I tried to show her that I had a reservation but she quite frankly said that was no good to her. After looking through more papers she did find ours and said she had no room at St. Anne's but we could go next door. We were so insulted by her attitude that we told her we would stay only two nights rather than the three we booked because we thought we could cancel up to two days. She said we could only do that if we contacted booking.com. We went to the room and tried to cancel the third night but could find no where on your site to cancel part of a three day reservation. We decided to stay there and use it as a lesson. We were put on the ground floor where we had to go out into the foyer to get to the bathroom which had a toilet and sink. To have a shower we had to go upstairs and share with five guest rooms. This may sound trivial to some but it wasn't what we expected with cleanliness or hospitality. If you are looking for a hostel St. Anne's would be great but you pay hotel prices.

    Location

Didn't get room we booked. Were taken to another guest house two doors along from St Anne's. Room was reached through a disused lounge and kitchen. had no curtain on window, light fittings hanging off ceiling and no mirror in bathroom. When pointed these out to staff member all she said was "well I'm busy just now, what do you want me to do!"

Location excellent. Clean and all the services you could need. Parking nearby, pay and display from 9.00am to 6.00pm but not expensive and we were out and about at these times. Room only but an excellent breakfast at Rubens Cafe just down the road for £4.00 with tea. Overall excellent value for money. We will be back next year.

The room was clean and relatively comfortable. Central location.

The room was actually in the Cairgorm next door to St Annes. There was no wardrobe, no towel rails in the bathroom. Key snapped in door. On calling the owner they were unhelpful initially and even hung up. People were outside and could not get in. People were inside and could not get out. On calling the second number displayed on the door the chap revealed that he did not work there anymore. The situation was eventually reolved when someone eventually turned up and got snapped key out of the lock. Which was just as well as the residents agreed we would call the police to deal with it should we have been waiting another 15 minutes. Not a place I would give my money again.

The location is perfect. Close to the town centre.

No parking nearby. The room was filthy, thick layer of dust on the furniture, the headboard of the bed and skirting. Needs a good clean and refurb. However the bathroom appeared new because the work hadn't been finished in our en-suite bathroom- the painting hadn't been finished. Also there was some sort of bodily fluid stain on the bathroom floor. Very basic room for the price we paid.

The bedroom we got was not the bedroom we booked for. It did not close with a key. Matresses were very dirty. Water in the washbasin was brown. We have photos of all to prove it. When we complained, the staff told us she could not do anything for us because the owner was not there. We consider they steal us and we want our money back. Notarianni

Location was good, close to the center

The room was under the roof and very hot. Opening the roof window did not help much. We had four beds, but no room for our luggage. Staff is not always there, they come and go.

Location, room for 3, private bath

Did not include breakfast (it was available for purchase, but price was too high and the breakfast area looked rough). We were told we would have wifi in the public rooms ...there was no wifi or public rooms....we were moved to the guest house next door and lounge was full of linens, no furniture and a list of repairs that needed to be made. We were also promised a quiet room overlooking the back garden...our room overlooked the very active, noisy main road. A very poor value.
