The facilities, the friendlyness of the staff and the food was good value for money
first impressions, was friendly healthful and happy face of receptionist. We only stayed one night to visit West Somerset Steam Railway gala, location good and site good though we did not have time to try amenities except to sleep and have breakfast.
only one monior quibble, the toilet roll holder was in way as toiilet was close to wall anyway and the loo holder prevented one sitting squarly on loo! lol
Very peaceful,excellent staff, good food.
Bright light outside chalet which I couldn't turn off.
The area was outstanding the chalet was bit noisy from next door as walls were mdf. I didn't eat there but staff were very helpfull when it came to local information and room was clean and adequate for my two night stay. Only problem was internet connection.
Noise from next door because walls so thin. No internet connection or phone service
We enjoyed the whole time at the club The food was very good
Very difficult to reach the beach as I have a back problem so could not use the steps
Really cheap and good valuefor money! Beautiful beach to.
The location was beautiful, we had a sea view, we could not knock the cleanliness of whole site, it was spotless! Bar prices and food prices were excellent , very reasonable. Quiet, relaxing site
Too quiet, no entertainment when we were there, sat 30th august, the club house was dead! Could smell sewage walking past play area to chalets, really strong! ...didn't see many staff, very old fashioned games room and shop.
The drive down to the site, lovely views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meals were good value and tasty.
The entertainment was very basic, in reminded me of entertainment 35 years ago but not as good. There was a lack of things organised during the day and night, the entertainment programme was limited. The first accommodation I was put in was small, uncomfortable and very basic, thankfully the moved me.
The fact that the staff in the dinning room were very efficient, no slamming of utensils, smiles even at breakfast time.
The duvet, could have been less like a board, more pliable.
Very quite, even with the farmland surrounding it! Nice clean chalets with excellent facilities. Well recommended if your in a small party.
Location. Friendly staff Good value
Value for money..location sea views not like others you said you had car parking and you do..
noise...not your fault. A child next door running around till 11.30pm.2nd night lovely not a sound.
Kind staff. Nice and quiet to relax. Lovely views.
I wasn't aware of cleaners coming into the room every morning. So I felt abit uncomfortable with them just walking in. I have a special diet. They couldn't cater for my needs.
The area is very close to the Kilve beach, where I visited everyday to collect data for my geological study. Various kids coin operated game machines on the site. Small shop for daily needs. Restaurante with variety of food meals.
Internet is terribly slow, basically useless. Internet is expensive, six pounds for 48 hours. Road access is a bit challenging, allowing only one car at most parts.
sea view. Clean. Reasonably quiet location. Reasonably priced.
shower enclosure in room a bit small.
Great location with wonderful views along the North Somerset coast and across to Wales. Food (breakfast)very good and plentiful. Varied entertainment programme, with plenty of competitions, which is a good way to meet fellow guests. However, there is no pressure to be involved if you don't want to. Also a well stocked bar with, unusually for a holiday camp, two cask ales available. The family caravans look really good, well positioned and this is obviously a very popular place for owners and return holidaymakers.
My single chalet turned out to be a narrow, semi-detached "half" chalet. (These are not the units shown in any of Booking.com site's exterior photographs!) Also, the online interior photo, which looks like a separate bedroom, is in fact half of the single-room area. It was sparsely furnished with a basic, "flatpack" wardrobe and a corner shelf on which stood a very small tv. and a kettle with a supply of tea and coffee that was replenished daily. The bed which, like the room, lacked width was not very comfortable and has the minimum of bed linen; there is no room for a bedside table; the light switch is halfway along the length of the room, so has to be switched off before getting into bed; one, obviously well-used, medium-sized towel is provided (this had to be changed as it had black stains) I am fairly easy-going but when you are enclosed in a very small space in the [half] chalet closest to the clubhouse and ballroom, and have the loud bass thump, thump, thump of the over-loud pa system coursing through every night;, and, when it finally stops, at sometime between midnight and 1.00am, there is the high-volume chatter of the inconsiderates leaving for their own accommodations; and (on the fourth night of your stay) you get even less sleep than the three previous nights, things have reached breaking point. But actually they hadn't. Due to my late, late night, I overslept so didn't get to breakfast until 09.35. Service had finished - even though it doesn't begin until 09.00. THAT WAS IT!! Despite having paid for the week, I made excuses and left. Yes, it's a holiday camp, and I'm sure that many people reading this will be saying, or thinking, 'miserable old git!' But, honestly, I'm not. However I do think that - either guest accommodation should not be sited this close to the main building or, if it is, it should at least have some basic sound-proofing.
Service connection was poor
Theview from the cliff.
The bathtube: there isn't any shower, nor a handy shower.
