Location - near to main areas but not on front expensive streets. Local shopping parade 5 minutes away and restaurants very good
Car parking is difficult but not impossible.
Breakfast for £5.00 extra was just adequate. Staff were friendly . Linen and towels were clean. Plenty hot water. Quiet.
No working curtains although I did ask for it to be fixed. They nither open nor close. No working light above the mirror in bathroom although asked for it to be fixed and no other mirror available in the room (Room 8). Hadn't been given a proper deep clean for some time.
This was a B and B with old beds with stained mattresses dirty lounge and unhelpful staff did not stay there even though we had payed for two rooms could not speak to owner left number owner did not call back
Location is excellent Staff - "D" was friendly and efficient
A bit dusty but didn't bother me
Cleanliness was poor, bed was very uncomfortable, walls are very thin, shower in need of a good clean, window had visible crack in it & no milk provided.
The only thing I liked was that a got an ok sleep as the bed was comfy my partner on the other hand never he felt the bed was to small and to close to the bathroom wall. The location was ok if you don't mind walking for 25-30mins.
There was no privacy as only one curtain and didn't close properly we were on the main road. The staff weren't helpful in fact down right rude. The floor boards creaked, the wallpaper was coming off, there was dust everywhere and pubic hairs in the shower. The carpet on the stairs up to your room was hanging off hazard right there. When we were arrived we were told she had already taken money off my card the day before and we were in room 6 on the ground floor, couldn't find it on ground floor was actually on first floor (who doesn't know where each room is). We asked reception what bus took us to princes street, the lady told us where to get bus and what number it was, turned out she had the right bus stop just there was no 39 as she had said so had to ask in at sainsburys. The hair dryer blew a fuse and she refused to give us another one. We used our towels on the friday afternoon once we had arrived and were told we wouldn't get any more until the housekeeper arrived at 11am the next day (that was our check out time). There was no staff in the b&b from the hours of 10pm and 9am. The b&b reception is located in the breakfast room. The whole b&b is out dated and needs a serious make over. Overall I defiantly wouldn't go back and would not reccommend.
Great location, very helpful staff
The wall socket for the kettle didn't work, so I had to unplug the tv everytime I needed a drink. The worst of all was the sleep or shall I say the lack of it. The walls are thinner than paper, the guests' activities were more than audible despite the best effort to ignore it. And everytime the upstairs use the taps it sounded like a power drill doing its work on the floor or walls.
We liked the atmosphere , the size of the rooms, the friendly staff and the breakfasts that were served.
the loose carpet on the stairs.
The look of the decore was classy. It had a nice retro feel
Location was excellent.
Trying to park nearby.
nice and clean hotel, located close to the city centre
I paid £70 for a quadruple room bed and breakfast. Clean, fresh bedding and plenty of clean towels on the double and twin beds. Happy to recommend. Proximity to city centre means expensive parking from 8.30am until 6.30pm. Plan your trip so you avoid these!!!
Radiator didn't work.... On all night! Luckily, we had a window that let some air in
Location and good shower room.
Small room with next door's bathroom sticking into like a giant box - very strange! No one explained that payment would just be taken off the card I had booked with and I still haven't had the promised receipt.
A good location, just a ten minute walk from Princes St. Great, clean facility.
Location, quiet area and comfortable bed.
Basic accommodation with very tired decor and furniture. We were in the cellar and the windows don't open. The breakfast room is very basic and cheaply furnished.
Staff friendly and help full.
Heating could have been on,wee bit chillie later at night.
comfortable room. tea service in room.
no reception before 3 p.m. they didn't clean our room during our stay. poor location.
big dips in bed with what felt like a rail in the middle, pillows were like bricks, sheets were horrible with the smell of bleach and incredibly stiff. There was barely room to walk to bed or bathroom. Dirt in bathroom. Do not say here.
The location, the helpful staff who managed the problems very well. Linen was fresh and clean.
THe first bedroom I took had a radiator that made the sound of an electric drill and it would have been impossible to sleep let alone be in the room. The shower tap was also broken. I was moved to a better room but this should never have happened. The rooms are over heated and stuffy.
Parking facilities When arriving at your location, there was nobody there at the bookings time only a cleaner. The young man who gave us the key turned up 15.10pm. in stead of 14.00pm. The milk that was in the bottles for the breakfast for the guests had gone off. Next day breakfast was ordered at 08.00am. as we were leaving by taxi to airport was only started to be laid out and was not done by 08.00. That was inportant for us as we had to catch 3 planes that day. Wi'fi was continually phasing out.Would not recommend this place
very small room lots of coming & going making sleep difficult we had arranged to pick up a key & possibly access the room early; this info was not conveyed to the staff but we did, eventually get a key we had not paid for breakfast but it looked minimal
friendly staff. location was very central for us. quiet at night, very comfortable.
Small room. No common area
The room is in basement. And it smells bad. The socket on the wall is broken, so the host ask us boil water on the floor. The faucet at the shower room is broken, too. The PAID breakfast only be served at 8-9am, and is very badly. It costs everyone 5 GBP. After feedbacking with the owner, they just say they can not do anything but sorry.
The Staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. They told us how to get where, and where the nicest pubs or markets where ect. and that at every time we came there. The Room was very pretty and the Doublebed was very comfortable. The House is located so city-near that you could walk into town within 15 minutes (City-center) and it wasn't so loud or busy around the House. The Breakfast was absolutely fine, especially for the price.
We had a little problems with the shower and the bathroom was not as pretty as the rest of the Room, but that is "complaining on a very fair standard".
