The location is PERFECT and the staff are nice. The breakfast in the morning was very good too.
The bathrooms weren't always clean and the water-saving showers weren't great. The worst thing was the noise, the first night I hardly slept because the pub and surrounding streets had people shouting until the early morning. You get used to it but the first night was bad.
Easy distance to basically all attractions. Great value of money. Great bar downstairs.
Quite noisy during the nights, remember to bring you earplug.
It has a great location. The staff were really helpful. The breakfast and the cleanliness were good.
Too many stairs in order to get to the room! :P.....but It was worth the effort!
Very good location, close to abbey and roman baths. Nice personel
Showers didn't have a regulator for temperature, so had to take baths with very hot water. Bunks wiggled a bit.
Staff really nice and friendly. Good breakfast. Great location. Beds are confortable. Wifi in the room also.
I think there was no kitchen, only a microwave in rooftop room. Toillets cleaning was poor. No lift.
- The hostel was very good. Helpful staff.
- There were people eating in the room. - Too much noisy from outside. - There were some drunk people in the room. They arrived at 3 am and started taking.
Close to the city centre; nice staff; breakfast is alright; waitrose is just across the road.
Might not be enough bath rooms; will be a bit noise at night
its really cheep to stay
bed wasn't comfortable. there is no kitchen, just microwave.
Great location, everything within Bath is about 10 mins walk away. Very friendly and attentive staff.
The hostel is near a main street consequently you can hear shouting from drunkards through out the night.
The staff were friendly and the bar downstairs was convenient. Excellent location. Great place overall.
The street below was a bit noisy. Some of the sink taps were a little faulty. The wifi was decent but not quite enough to stream videos.
Great breakfast in the morning
Internet not so good
It's quite difficult to find this place, receptionis situated in a pub, just few showers
good staff breakfast included great location (the heart of Bath i will tell) very cheap price
The bar we used breakfast is dirty. I do not suppose this hostel will change the sheets everytime they host new people. At night cars shout outside but you do not want to close the window for the stuffy room.
It is located very close to the town center and a lot of the main sights, and not too far from the train station either. There is also a big supermarket nearby which might have been better if we had access to a kitchen at the hostel. It was good value, and I liked that there was desk space and plenty of power outlets. The staff were nice, and there were some good security measures in place so random people couldn't get in.
Firstly I think the picture on Booking.com of the front needs to be updated - It took me a while to find it because I was looking for a green & white frontage! I was expecting the place to be more like the St Christopher's Inn in Paris which was very clean and quite modern, but this place needs a bit of refurbishment, especially the bathrooms! I respect that they are trying to save water, but in the shower you press a button and the water stays on for 10 seconds at a time - and you cant change the temperature. The wi-fi is really bad and I had trouble getting a strong connection anywhere in the hostel or bar. The staircases were fairly narrow and there was no lift - I guess understandable for a building of it's type in the middle of Bath.
The location, the cost.
Too much noise from the road. Shared toilets.
Friendly staff, great location
The location was both good and bad. Great for walking around Bath, bad because of the noise! Even with ear plugs, we could hear everything going on outside. Plus we had to shut the window to keep out the street noise, which made the room stifling hot. Luckily we asked for a fan and were given one -- a definite must if you stay in summer. The food in the pub was delicious and you get a nice discount for staying in the hostel.
Weird that the bathrooms were co-ed. Our room (private twin) was super hot and loud from street noise -- and we were there during the week! I can only imagine the weekends.
Monitoring of cleanliness of hygiene facilities
uncleaniliness in toilets and showers
Very central location. Nice range of facilities. I had to be up early in the morning for a meeting and still managed to get a good nights sleep. Most people were in bed by 11pm.
The rooms were rather noisy due to the open windows and proximity to a main road. However I do believe ear plugs are available at the reception.
Close to the train station
- bathrooms were dirty - beds did not have chargers or lights (just metal frames) - no AC so window was open and noisy bar downstairs
Chill out room. Breakfast
Room , windows open above bar. Noisy so slept up in living room.
very helpful staff, comfortable bed
It's very clean and confortable.
The Inn is in a very central location, ten minutes or less from the train station. The staff is kind, young, and the pub below the rooms makes great stuff. The dormitory is quite simple, but it's ok! You spend few pounds, and it's a fair exchange.
The bath is too small for serving three rooms, and the shower is cold.
