Price Tidy Bathroom
Excelent value for money, great room with four individual beds and room was clean and tidy would recomend an would stay again.
The location the wifi and facilities.
the bar downstairs is quite noisy, really noisy and lasts until early in the morning...
In front of the beach and next to the shopping zone. Everything is close.
The lift wasn't working.
Great location and amtosphere.
The location is excellent, right opposite Brighton beach. For a young traveler, this place is just perfect, since there is a pub and nice music during the night. Staff is good, and the breakfast also quite filling. Rooms are clean and tidy
When I arrived for the check in, my bed was occupied by another guest, so I was given another bed without any kind of apology. The worst happen during the night though. I paid for a bed in a female dormitory, and the girl who was sleeping in my bed brought a man in the room, who slept over the night and stayed there in the morning. I wasn't able to do my things comfortably, since there was a man in a supposedly female bedroom. When I complained with the staff, the guy was really comprehensive and sorry, he went in my bedroom asking the male guest to leave, but then when he realised that the two of them were usual customers he didn't do anything. I still don't understand where the difference is and why a usual customer can do whatever he wants. Anyway, I hope they will be more careful in the future, because if they don't have the control over their guests, anyone can enter and create more serious issues.
- Best location possible. Room had a seaside view, really close to the Pier and the Esplanade; - Good breakfast; - Spacious room, clean beds, nice building; - Great bar downstairs.
It's a nice place to stay in ressionable money
location is awesome, just right in front of Brighton Pier. One of the cleanest hostel I have stayed in, the bathroom is big too. Like the colour match of the room, especially the burgundy coloured bed sheet. Also, there is heated towel rail in the bathroom!
The pillow is a bit flat to my liking. The shower drain is clogged. It costs 2 pounds to rent the towel, a bit more expensive and the price wasn't mentioned anywhere. Don't like that the staff placed me in a room with no other people, even though some may take this as an advantage, but I would prefer to stay in a room with other people so that I wasn't bored throughout the night.
Located very close to the Brighton pier. Breakfast was quite okay for this price.
The staff was not very motivated. There was nobody in the reception when I needed it.
Great location, right opposite the pier and around the corner from the lanes. We were on the 4th floor so didn't hear any noise from the bar. Elevator didn't work on ground floor so we just took the stairs each time as didn't have much luggage. We were in private room which had own bathroom, towels, linen, tv, desk. Couldn't fault it for price we paid - booking.com had advertised a very low price so I booked it, only to be emailed by the manager of St Christophers a couple of weeks later saying the price I had booked at was a mistake and the actual price should have been 10x more! After a few emails back and forth I would like to give full credit to the staff at St Christophers for their professionalism and honouring our original booking and price.
Only problem was that the radiator couldn't be turned down. We were in a room right at front of building and it was really windy and rainy so couldn't open windows - so ended up being so hot in room!
not a lot,breakfast OK
NOISE, not enough showers
Hot showers, wifi, breakfasts, location and staff
Little bit noisy for me but then again I am 65 years old and have been there and done that
The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, especially Paul! We didn't get moaned at for noise as you in a hotel...there was a big group of us away for a birthday. The rooms were simple but had everything you would need and the hostel is right next to the pier and clubs. The bar down stairs was very cheap and had a good atmosphere and was good to drink at before we went out.
There was nothing we didn't like, excellent stay at a bargain price! :-)
Discotheque on ground floor, I could sleep well though
Staff were excellent
The doors kept slamming. Building maintenance was very poor
Comfortable clean rooms Couldnt hear "Saterday night noise" when in room.
All night noise on landings and stairs with constant banging of fire doors.
Beautiful and hardworker staffs and the number one it's the superviser to the housekipper she work very hard!!! Kisses !!!
Comfortable and clean room, bit crowded but I didn't mind as I was only staying for the night. Clean bathroom. Felt very safe and it's in the best location!
The bar wasn't the cleanest (sticky surfaces and a few flies). It took an hour for the cooked breakfast to reach me.
Perfect location and very easy for a group
The staff member letting herself into the room without knocking to see if we were checking out! Also, on arrival as the check-in desk is in the bar which is very noisy I struggled to hear the staff member speaking to me. I explained I couldn't hear and was partly deaf but she didn't really raise her voice making it difficult for me to understand her.
beds done for you
The location was excellent. Easy walking distance to all the clubs and shops. The discount of food was great too.
Very noisy at night so if you want a quiet night in, this is not the hostel for you. The key card never worked so that was very inconvient.
Wonderful location with such reasonable price! Easy access to anywhere and the Coach Station is only at the back! Generous breakfast and drinks at the Pub downstairs! Clean room with the shower and the loo, neatly prepared beddings! Staff were all friendly and helpful! Can't believe that this Hostel is on the seafront along with other expensive hotels and yet so reasonable indeed! Many thanks for your marvellous services!
Was there a kitchen and eating room for self-catering lodgers in the Hostel? I ate and had drinks in the pub downstairs, so it didn't matter to me this time, but if anyone wanted to prepare their meals, were there facilities for them? At least a microwave or something? Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about at all ! Thanks !
