The hostel location is great, I enjoyed sightseeing the Greenwich area also found it handy to get around to other places. Free laundry was a big plus (Im backpacking around the UK) and the breakfast was honestly the best hostel brekkie Ive ever had in my whole life!
Some of the staff seemed a bit rude
Staff co-operation and supports, free breakfast, 6 bed dorm was cozy and nice, plugs in each bed, bed sheets changed oftenly, free Laundry, chill out room and the pub.
Quality of breakfast could had been better, dishes could been cleaned more efficiently.
I like to have breakfast there. Everything is very clean.
Perhaps they could squeeze in a fridge below the microwave :-)
Wifi connection can be accessed from the room.
The crackling sound of the wooden flooring..
wifi was very bad and slow, room very small for 8 person and also mouse in the room, very noise in the evenings!
Staff were great. They were knowledgable of the area. They attended needs well and their customer service alone would make me stay here again!
No negatives for me
-Nice "chill room" downstairs with table football, sofas, books, films etc -Modern comfortable beds -Great value for money -Friendly bar staff -Classic modern "on the road" themed bar&restaurant -Guests get various special offers on some things (I.e. 2 for 1 on some beer, but at £4 each this doesn't really feel like a "special" offer) -Good travel links via Rail and DLR (Although these stop around 1am, if you plan on returning late you need a bus to the National Maritime Museum just down the road)
-Expensive food and beer (even with 25% guest discount on food) -Check-in staff were slightly curt and mixed up my booking when I arrived, thinking it was for the previous day (although there was a bed available and they fixed it) -Wooden stairs which creak loudly no matter how quiet you try to be!
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast area was good (nice views onto the street and the facilities to make own breakfast). Free WiFi.
The staff at the bar are always busy so difficult to get their attention for checking in or for asking questions (the online check in offered does not make any difference whatsoever to the speed, you still have to wait for the staff to attend to you which may be a long time!). Hostel could be cleaner, more frequent attention to corridors and toilets/bathrooms would be good. Soap dispenser missing in one toilet on 1st floor. Also, as mentioned on last visit, there should be hooks or shelves in the toilets and shower rooms to put your toiletries and towels on, who wants to place them on a dirty floor? I commented on this at my last visit, but nothing has happened in the meantime. Does anybody actually read these comments and if so, do anything to take action?? The air in the corridor was stale, so need to really get some fresh air in a few times a day, this is something the staff could do. Have you thought about a ventilation systemt/heat recovery system or positive input ventilation/extractor fans? There are some good products out now that would really make a difference especially for places like this, where there are lots of people in a small space. For 8 people in a room at 20£ each, 160£ is a lot, so at least the facilities could be improved upon. Noise from the bar audible but bearable. Management could do better to improve facilities. Breakfast was fine, but could use better quality tea bags and coffee granules (probably what you expect in a hostel, but for not that much more you can get decent tea bags for example).
location; toilet clean.
someone used the bed during the day, when i got there it was dirty.
Next to station We could stay in the lounge as much as we want.
Everything else. You couldn't sleep Dirty Dirty Dirty Dirty Dirty Dirty It needs a serious cleaning people. Don't provide any breakfast, but please, we aren't animals. There is only a kettle and a microwave. The kettle, Inever touched it. Bathrooms and toilets, Gosh!
only 3 min walk to tube station
in the bedroom we can clearly hear the loud music from the bar on the ground floor
Staff relly helpfull and welcoming. Greenwich area is quiet and quite charming.
The staffs are very nice and ready to help. Simon managed to adjust all of us in the same room and seen him using his skill to deal with clients.
It is very difficult to find something I did nt like..
The breakfast was awesome
Well i wish they could improve on their wifi connection.
This is a really nice hostel to stay at, its close to the high street and trains. Its clean and tidy with a vibrent bar and for the price has a great choice for breakfast.
The internet can be a bit iffy at times.
Very friendly and helpful member of staffs. They cheer us up after we reach there after a long tiring day. Very nice n quiet bedrooms. Clean toilets and bathrooms. Well managed Morning breakfast. It's a pleasure to spend time here.
The only thing I can say is to have an arrangement of adequate electrical sockets in each room so that everybody can enjoy the free wifi.
The pub can be loud at night, preventing sleep.
The location is fab, and the staff are really helpful. The beds and the rooms aswell as the toilets and showers are tidy. There is a bar downstairs, and they have great deals on drinks and is usually a fun night.
If you're carrying extra luggage, carrying it up the stairs can be a bit of a hassle. If you're not the party time and looking for an early night during the weekend, you can hear a little bit of the music in the room.
Value for money and location, access to utilities such a internet or laundry machine for free.
Crowd and noise. Poor ventilation in rooms made it very hot and difficult to hold on in there.
The T.V, and video recorder are an accident waiting to happen, are unsafe, the hygiene in this room was below acceptable, didnt get any sleep, was like trying to sleep in the middle of a nightclub !!!
very good location, nice staff, the toilets/bathrooms are very spacious, WiFi covers all areas (which is not that common in hostels), the beds are good, 24-hours entry/exit
nothing major or worth mentioning
Clean. Quite quiet. Good transport connections. Wifi works well in common areas and chillout room.
Only 1 plug in the 8-bed dorm. No wifi signal in dorms.
Every week I stay one or two nights at this hostel. All the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere give one a sense of being safe.
It is very difficult to find areas where they can improve because every time I stay overthere, am happy.
Quite noisy in weekends Quite far from central london Toilets/showers mixed for both genders
