Clean. Quite quiet. Good transport connections. Wifi works well in common areas and chillout room.
Only 1 plug in the 8-bed dorm. No wifi signal in dorms.
Every week I stay one or two nights at this hostel. All the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere give one a sense of being safe.
It is very difficult to find areas where they can improve because every time I stay overthere, am happy.
Quite noisy in weekends Quite far from central london Toilets/showers mixed for both genders
right beside the dlr station i think, very good neighbourhood, sound staff mostly.
distance from and to
There are single shower cabins, and there are enough of them - it never happened that they were all occupied while I was there. Same holds for the toilets. The rooms are alright, the beds are comfortable; The hostel even had fans in every room as it was incredibly warm outside - and inside.
There is a disco in the pub downstairs every weekend. Some of the rooms right above the pub therefore are very close to music and beat; The party usually ends around 2 am, but it's hard to catch sleep before; It's not really a negative point though, just something people should know if they're staying over the weekend.
The staff was very friendly and helpful; Breakfast included ham and was free. It's located in London Greenwich, which is a beautiful place to stay. Sainesbury and DLR station are just around the corner. There's no curfew once your're checked in.
I couldn't book more than four or five days in a row, so I had to book four shorter stays to get my 15 days in a row; Unfortunately I had to check in and out thrice while being there, including room changes. This however is a booking problem rather than a hostel one. Also, there is one eight bed room with only seven locker cages, which is not so nice if you're the last person to come in.
Price, friendliness of staff. When I had a problem with the locker, it was resolved within a couple of hours and I was thus able to access my luggage again.
There weren't enough power points and they were located in inconvenient places around the room. It was also somewhat noisy, although I'm pretty good at sleeping through noise.
close to greenwich park Big showers Big toilets
There is always room for improvement, But we dont want the staff to get too stressed either
The staff were lovely and the girls in my room. It wasn't full so I was able to take the full bunk! Wash room areas were very clean! Chargers by the bed- brill idea!
There was no sink in the kitchen to wash up. I had a pot noodle but had to ask the staff for a fork and mug.
The people who are living in the hostel unplugged guests' charging phones and were verbally abusive. Workers not living there used the in room lockers to store their tool bags and came and went as they pleased. Guests were left to using floor space for their belongings, or having to use paid lockers 2 floors down or carrying your bag with you all day. If you want a hostel experience stay somewhere else.
The breakfasts and breakfast voucher deal were excellent. GREAT location, both for travelling around Greenwich or going into central London. The beds were fine, nothing fancy but comfy. Overall the hostel was quite quiet, was easy to sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The floor in the room was so dirty when you took three steps in black socks they turned grey. The 'lockers' are in fact under-bed cages. I don't think these offer as much protection as proper hard lockers, plus they could be rolled out by anyone. It was sweltering in my room, we had the window open all the time and it never got cooler. Had a loud rattling extractor fan from the kitchens outside it too - not the best.
Greenwich park! Good music in hostel Nice big showers & toilets Friendly staff
Hot rooms lol ! Luckily there are ventilators...
The bed is quite clean and comfy.
There is no living room nor kitchen.
nice location, close to the greenwich park and market nice combination with the pub underneath the hostel
breakfast was poor, the food was a bit old
Right next door to the train station, and less than 5 mins walk from other tube and bus connections. I came for a gig at the O2 arena, and Emma the manageress was very helpful explaining all the hostel facilities and services, as well as local information. The hostel is above a pub, I paid less than £15 for a bed in an 8 bed room (4 bunk beds) which included breakfast the nextdayI never felt threatened or worried at any time, this was my 1st time in a hostel in London and would gladly stay here again.
Very creaky floorboards!
I came to london alone from Ireland to work and i was made feel welcome straight away. Rebekka, Richard, kayla, and all the rest of the staff are a great team and made my move to london a lot easier.i have been here 6 wks and will return again in a month. The hostel has a great location in greenwich which is a beautiful place. The hostel has great facilities and i can vouch that it is not too noisy for workers. I would recommend this hostel to everybody.
Well!... All was more or less good and I recommend people to stay there.
Easy enough to find in Greenwich, modern, good bar.
Expensive night rates, far from London centre, no parking, very poor breakfast (though it was free so cant complain too much!)
Close to transportation Free breakfast Friendly
Dirty rooms Noisy Unclean dishes for breakfast No coffee included in breakfast
I stayed here for best part of 4 weeks. It is a great hostel. The staff are very helpful and friendly and there is a great atmosphere. Spacious bar with comfortable common room.Washing and drying facilities. Location is excellent, right beside train station and dlr and 5 mins from greenwich park and cutty sark.I would reccomend staying in this hostel.
The staff at St Christopher's Greenwich have treated us like family as we have been staying there for a while now. All our requests have been addressed as far as possible and that made us appreciate them more.
In some rooms noise levels are very disturbing.
When the advert described it as a dormitory I was expecting 8 beds not 4 bunk beds. I asked could I see the room but was told that was not possible. And then there was the lack of parking on site so I did not stop at this place.
just next to the DLR and national railway station, very nice staff.
oh my god,you can hear the train from 6am to night very clearly every day,and the door makes so much noise when closing.on my last night, there's a party downstairs, after it ended, then two new girls checked in,they came in and went out, opening and closing the door again and again. Then when you thought you can finally sleep,it's sunrise time, the train starts.Didn't sleep for a minute, worst hostel experience.
Clean accommodation and friendly staff
Parking nearby very difficult
comfy bed value for money
the showers are terrible no privacy
