Location Beds Bar
We had an 8 bed dorm booked. Four of us arrived at 7pm to check in and the other four were following us in later on in the evening. We were all paying separately. We were initially told that we couldn’t check in until all beds were paid for. This was unsuitable to us as the other four wouldn’t be in for a few hours. We managed to convince the lady to allow us four to check in. I had booked the rooms and therefore the booking was on my credit card. We were then told that we all needed to provide a credit card when checking in. As we were paying up front I presume this was in case there was damage done, or in case the other 4 didn’t turn up possibly. I asked for convenience and to speed things up could I just use my credit card for the 4 bookings and still pay separately. I wasn’t allowed to do this. The lady checking us in advised that we were all to provide a credit card. I asked if the others didn’t have a credit card would they be allowed check in? The lady at the desk simply shrugged her shoulders. The check in policy for 4 people took about 15 minutes. There was another large group, 8-10 waiting to check in also. Luckily enough the others had credit and visa debit cards with them. I’m not even sure if the policy of storing someone’s visa debit cards is allowed as the lady in reception stored our details in her PC? After we eventually got into the room the door opened a few minutes later and an unfamiliar guest walked into the room. She advised us that she had a bed in our room. This was again strange as I had booked an 8 bed dorm for the 8 of us and there wouldn’t have been room for anyone else. In order to solve this we went down to reception. The other guest had to move. It seemed to be an inconvenience again for the lady in reception to sort this out and tried to pass an impression that this was my fault in some way! This was my 4th time staying at this hostel in the last 3 years and I can say that the previous 3 times the staff have been super!
Very close to underground station
Dirty. Not smell good.
Underground station and a shopping center are nearby.
the location was great: in the middle of the boisterous shepherd's bush area, full of little restaurant, and in front of a huge shopping complex. easily reachable by the underground
squalid place above a very noisy pub. the common room felt claustrophobic, musty and the television was the central point of reference (because there was simply nothing else). bathrooms were filthy, toilet seat of the ladies' room was dislodged.
Close to the underground and overground stations as well as westfields shopping mall. Small rooms generally recent refurbished good breakfast, plenty of hot water for a shower daily.
Laundery facilities not available at the moment
The hostel is only a minute's walk from the underground/overground and a major shopping centre. It has a chill out room to relax in.beds were comfortable and not too much noise at night.
Shower on my floor was out of bounds due to maintenance work and the wifi was a bit iffy which is unusual for a St Christophers
Clean and warm. Very nice and helpful staff, great location.
no hot water in the evening
pretty cheap and comfortable place
kitchen facilities are lacking, but it is surrounded by other eating options anyway.
Tidy room, clean bathrooms & toilet, great storage lockers under the beds, free pool table & discount on food at the var.
People staying in shared room disrespectful to others sleeping by talking and turning on the lights. There should be a lights curfew. A guy in our room snored like a train so we asked for ear plugs from one of the staff (British guy) and he wasn't too friendly.
Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Free laundry.
Noisy at night with bottles being poured into bin outside window.
Location to train station
No working showers for males on the floor my room was on. Water pressure low for showers. Uncomfortable beds, which were difficult to see which was mine initially (as markings are on side of bed, not end as you walk in like other hostels)
i stayed for just one night, but i really like it!close to the shepard bush empire (3mns walk) and in front of the shepard bush station.free wifi in all the area and nice breakfast!
I love the way that the hostel depends on human beings...you know with feelings and passion and always ready to help or to solve any kind of problem..Not just employees that they have to keep professional and behave typical. In a city like London, these people are not only rare but not exist!!!About the hostel its value for money is just amazing.Comfortable sleep, very nice beds that are keeping clean and tidy almost every day, bathroom and showers 4 stars and of course, the discounts and the daily events are very important to get to know each other, have fun, party or even to relax with a drink.
The cleaning is made daily in the rooms is between 11:00 and 14:00,but at that time I was sleeping,so it was hard for me to leave the room at that time, although I had to wake up every time.
Free washing. Breakfast great. Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms.
Noisy at night with bottles being dropped into big bin outside window.
Everything was pretty good, no complaints really.
- lovely staff - price - location (close to metro station) - clean beds
- Bed is small for tall people
Cool bar downstairs, park and shops nearby. Easy access.
Poor wifi quality, warm rooms and lack of shelves and hangers.
Great value for money, excellent location.
Not enough showers. I advise you shower on an evening as you have a slim chance in the morning.
Not clean, there no much toilets for the hotel, and the employees aren't cool.
Nice lucation front of train station
Cleaning toilet area and hand wash liquid is a poor quality
Amazed by the quality of sleep you can get despite the bar underneath (even during world cup). Room is a little small but you are in London with good price. Proximity to underground is definite plus.
No sink in women's shower and toilet.
It was clean and cheap and the staff were lovely - also other guests respected your privacy
The floor of the showers was slimy and when I came in from working in the evening the room smelled of feet - but that wasn't the hostels Fault
I felt excellent , lovely, wonderful staff, very understanding, could leave my stuff there till I checked in, my deposit money was accepted by card, not necessarily by cash,as I was initially asked to pay , excellent breakfast, drink , gorgeous view, stunning atmosphere in the evening, Karaoke, friendly staff& guests, all in all fantastic! I loved to stay@ you & will defo return with friends, or family again. Also met wonderful people whom I befriended with x Many thanks, great guys! Maria x
Everything was Ok, loved it all x
Nothing interesting except location. every thing was so dirty . I reserved for a female dormitory ,but shower was mixed with men too. The price is not fare in compare to service.
