Great place with fantastic rooms and great food.
Only one problem no Wi-Fi connection and for business people this is essential.
The views from the bedroom window were great. Very peaceful and sleep inducing!
Nice room and lovely en-suite
Breakfast was OK but fruit selection could have been wider and just one sausage in the full English seemed a bit stingy whilst the black pudding was thin and felt undercooked
staff attitude location ambiance
attention to detail bulbs out in both room and bathroom and facia hanging off bathroom light
Great room, wifi excellent and great food.
Beautiful surroundings very helpful polite staff our room and bathroom were absolutely lovely couldn't have asked for more. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was out of this world would highly recommend!
Loved the historic hotel from the bedrooms to the bar and dinning room. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly and contributed to us having a very pleasant stay.
Having to carry our suitcase up the stairway.
Warm atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Cosy décor. Excellent restaurant. Sheltered location. Lovely gardens. Ample parking. All in all, a great place :)
No air conditioning - was hot and had to sleep with windows open, allowing in some traffic noise. Lovely staff, but only response was "No problem" - even when I was reporting a problem! I found this profoundly irritating :(
The staff were all very pleasant and really helpful - from restaurant staff to housekeeping staff and everyone else in between. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
Quiet peaceful location. Excellent food
Staff were very professional and smartly dressed. Hotel in a great location. Why have I been stopping in Premier Inn's for so long !!!!!
Gorgeous grounds, convenient parking, lovely room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Helpful and pleasant staff, reasonably priced dinner and drinks, excellent food and fab breakfast.
One tiny drawback would be the carpet on the main stairs which needs replacing/cleaning.
Bedrooms are spacious, nicely decorated with lovely en-suite bathrooms
great room and bathroom even though busy with parties when we arrived late , great service
A great independent hotel near Plymouth and the key Devon beaches. Nice feel to the hotel with good food. bedrooms are just right with extra bits to ensure a good nights sleep. away from the noise to Plymouth
shower water took some time to warm up.
rooms great size -
toilet seat broken! - food in restaurant bland - breakfast v. average
One of the best hotels I have had the pleasure to stay in. My room was very spacious and the bed was amazing. The bathroom was top notch too with a great shower and a roll top bath. The hotel has a popular restaurant and the meal I had there was excellent and good value for money. Will definitely stay there again and look forward to it.
Food...quallity & choice. Location. Beds/bedroom. Staff.
Lighting in dining room poor. Shower in our bathroom was rather small, which meant that the taps in it got in the way, & the doors opening outwards dripped water all over the floor on exiting. There was plenty of room for a more comfortable alternative. There was also nowhere to put toothbrushes & toiletries around the hand basin, and very little shelf space elsewhere in the room either. No toilet roll holder. Uncomfortable room.
Quiet and comfortable
This was our third visit and we were very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent and the Arnold Bennett omelette is a favourite with the other half! The member of staff on reception sorted out initial problems cheerfully and efficiently. It's in a great location, this bit of Plympton is full of history and worth a visit if you've never been before. I grew up around here and remember it as a convent so staying here is always special.
Although the bed was comfortable (Alexander Buller room), the mattress is beginning to show its age and could do with replacing. I also had to speak to reception about having the bedding changed from feather, despite requesting non feather bedding when booking and making a phone call the day before.
Lovely grounds. Very nice room with excellent shower. The bar and lounge is attractive and stylish. We had a sunny afternoon and could sit outside. Breakfast was excellent. It was wonderfully quiet too.
The restaurant food at dinner was disappointing. The menu read well but did not live up to expectation. We were told that the hotel had been very busy, it was Easter and there had been wedding parties. Maybe the kitchen was exhausted by the time we arrived on Easter Monday?
Good food and excellent service.
Our room was by the road.
Beautiful place to stay
Our third visit. Sadly we were the only overnight guests on a Sunday evening so all very quiet in the bar when we arrived. The rooms are very well equipped and the staff are lovely. Great breakfast.
Bathroom very spacious but could do with some more shelves for washbags etc. Ended up trying to balance them on the edge of the roll-top bath.
Our three night visit to Plymouth was made complete by the stay at St.Elizabeth's House, the room was large and very clean, the staff where polite and friendly and helpful. The food was excellent hot and very attractive,it was all super.
