Room was spot on . Excellent facilities, lovely view from my room and a fine breakfast to start the day!
Free Wiki Cleanliness of room
Poor fry-up on small plate. Poor choice of food, little fruit, no jam. room rather bare and functional. no pictures etc to make it more cosy. Bed very firm.
Friendly staff good food and facilities
I liked the location for nearness to public transport, shopping, places to eat and relatives. Rochester was also within walking distance. I loved the view of the river Medway and the pigeons that fluttered outside the window. The wifi worked well and was free.
I was there two weekends and two Friday and one Saturday night had really loud throbbing music (you could also hear what the DJ was saying) until midnight. I am not sure if this was a function in the hotel or at a nearby property. I also would not recommend the food as we had two meals in the bar but this is not a problem as there are good nearby places to eat. We tried to go to the restaurant on one evening but it was clearly empty and set up for breakfast so we just went to the bar.
Great reception from the staff, really helpful night porter, thanks Jose :-)
parking is secure & not visible from road
Staff were lovely and breakfast good.
Not a great deal of choice at dinner. A noisy room near the lift Bed was not comfortable
The location is excellent. The views from the rear bedrooms are also stunning. Breakfast is sufficient and just the right amount. Interesting pictures in the breakfast room of Chatham and Rochester's history
Nothing-no criticisms at all.
Pleasant helpful staff, food readily available, well presented and tasty.
Ordered 'take away' breakfast which was not done. Functions in lower levels at weekends slightly noisy.
Staff helpful and friendly. Room was spotless and bed very comfortable. We will definitely be back to this hotel
Breakfast staff pleasant, food lovely
Unable to sleep due to a lot of Noise from various events taking place within the hotel
Only stayed one night but everything was good.
It was very convenient as we were attending a work's Xmas Party at the hotel so we decided to stay over. We had everything we needed and the room was very clean
Decor could do with updating
Arrived at lunchtime. Was able to leave car in the hotel car park whilst shopping. The car park is quite secure. The room was still ready early than stated so a bonus. It was clean and tidy. Had booked the bridal suite and had a great view over the Medway river..
Part of package was champagne and chocs in room on arrival and were not there. Reception stated they would put in room whilst out shopping in afternoon. Alas not there on return so had to request again. Spoilt the moment a bit.
Staff got me into my room early.
Ease of access and closeness to where I needed to be. Parking was fine but could be difficult if there were loads of event on. Breakfast on both days was perfect and very freshly cooked. Single room had plenty of space and was very cosy with plenty of tea and coffee and chocolate
Wi fi did not work in my room nor did the TV but I did not need either so did not let reception know. I have every confidence that if I had called (there was a phone in the room) it would have been sorted as everyone seemed very professional and caring.
comfortable, clean, staff friendly and very helpful, good food.
I stayed here for one night whilst going out with work colleagues in Rochester the location was good close to work and close to town. Managed to find the hotel and park in the car park with ease. Room was comfortable and clean the shower was a little dated but for the money it was acceptable did not have much dealings with the staff bu any did have I found them to be pleasant and professional. I would happily stay here again when traveling on my own however it is a little too basic for my wife so I would not stay here with her.
I found it hard to find the entrance from the car park it was very dark and there were no signs I nearly ended up going down some fire 3 scape stairs on the side of the building I eventually decided to go back out the way I had driven in and the slope was very steep to walk down, fine for me a 31 year old male but any one with any difficulties walking would have had trouble. Once in the hotel I got lost again looking for reception I ended up going up and down some stairs a before I found my way and then had to walk through the bar to the reception area, which I didn't like but that's just my opinion.
Great location .but bad hotel staffs behavious

Friendly staff, cracking vegetarian option breakfast and more than enough tea bags in the room to sate my tea addiction.
The lift mechanism was perhaps a little too audible in the room where we were (top floor, directly opposite lift) but wasn't a huge issue.
Staff were friendly and helpful . Check what time car has to be moved if parking on main road overnight !
Good value for money, room was basic but clean & comfortable and everything worked well. Friendly staff.
They had a function on so the car park was full & I had to park in time restricted bay on street. Kitchen closed too early (9pm) so I had to go out for takeaway. Really annoying dripping noise outside kept me awake.
Location was suitable for our evening out.
