bed was comfortable and location was good.check in was easy and quick
the room was small as was the bathroom(had an attic room) and there was no lift to carry my heavy suitcase up the 60+ steps.the vibration of the underground could keep mpeople on lower floors awake.
The nearness of the location to the Paddington station. Coutesy of the staff was good.
Not quite sure. Maybe the room was in the basement and so the phone reception was poor.
Staff were friendly Room was relatively clean Location was relatively good
Breakfast is in fact some bread and yoghurt brought to room Nowhere to eat properly/no choice of food Room very outdated (decor/furnishings) Reception area looked unprofessional
Near to marble arch, funny breakfast and helpful staff
Hotel is easily accessible to all the sights and attractions of London. The bus ride to Trafalgar Square takes 20 to 25 minutes it is super. Hotel is quiet, clean and the staff is friendly. Within walking distance to Hyde Park.
Breakfast and poorly functioning shower.
The only thing I liked about this hotel was location. Staff was ok, breakfast was awful and the cleanliness was ok. Not much space in the room. Facilities ok
Breakfast, space of the room, value for money
location excellent for my meeting
Location to Paddington station and restaurants. Great receptionist and breakfast tray.
Very small room in grubby state. Tiny bathroom cum shower. Hardly any space to put down luggage.
Central London location, 0.5 mile from hyde park Facilities good enough for the cost (approx 50) Cooperative and kind staff
Continental breakfast rooms not sound proof enough
The location and the staff.
Poor mattress. Bedsheets were not appropriated (too small for the bed). 4th floor without elevator.
Location close to Paddingdon station
Internet non-existent despite assurances from staff Dirty facilities
Owner was friendly and helpful, good location for Paddington station, room was small but well equipped and clean.
4th floor room, large suitcase, no lift...
Staff were friendly and helpful Location was quite good, lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity, too
Breakfast was very sugary and mostly packaged food (a couple of bread rolls, a croissant (filled with custard and jam), chocolate biscuits and an actual pot of some caramel dessert on day 2) Bathroom was tiny - like a bus toilet and have seen bigger showers in a caravan Street was very noisy, hence the poor quality of sleep. There was a small wardrobe but there was not enough space in there or on the floor for luggage
Not a lot
The shower was broken, the breakfast was poor and nothing available for a diabetic. Extremely noisy due to the underground trains about every 20 seconds, which is not mentioned in the hotel information. The bed was clean, but as for the rest, needs a good overhaul
The friendliness of the counter staff (was a guy but didnt get his name)
On our last night, we found small roaches in the bathroom. About 2 to 3 of them.
The location was good, round the corner from the tube station & plenty of bars & restaurants there. Friendly location.
We were on the 3rd floor, to many stairs, the room was tiny & the bed was not a double it was a 3 quarter one, new very clean shower, toilet but nothing worked, had to hold the shower in my hand. Booked breakfast for 8 didn't get it, the owner put it down for 8.30 & we had a coach to catch so we ended up not getting a breakfast, the son was very nice but we didn't really see anyone at all & there was no way of connecting anyone..I know it was a reasonable price but didn't feel there was any interest in the guests at all.
-staff were accommodating and polite -allowed us to leave our bags at hotel before we went to the airport -continental breakfast had good variety and was large
-rooms are small
The location was fantastic. But it's important to know that this entire area of Paddington (Norfolk Gardens and Sussex Gardens) is dedicated almost exclusively to hotels. Some are better than others.
The ceiling filled with water. They moved us at 2am to a tiny room that rattled every time a tube train passed below. The bathroom door didn't close. Every room was dirty.
It was close to my departure point (Heathrow Express) and a couple decent pubs. It was indoors, dry, had a bed, a bathroom and reasonably safe. That was about it. The girl at the front desk was reasonably friendly and accommodated bringing my breakfast a little early because of my flight departure time. The Internet was stable, reasonably fast by hotel standards and secured by provided password.
In short: I will never stay at this hotel again. Apparently this hotel is located directly over Paddington Tube station so every time a train rolls in the room rumbles like being in the station itself. The room is a low two star quality at best at prices above the nearby properties. The entire place could do with a thorough cleaning and update. Make sure you can deal with sleeping with a half lit room because the curtains do virtually nothing to keep the lights outside dimmed. The breakfast essentially consisted of a minimal collection of packaged items and a few rolls. Just make sure you visit one of the aforementioned pubs and figure on about two pints prior to trying to call it a night.
The price, for a bed in London. Continental breakfast brought to the room was okay as well
Small room - okay for one but not great.
It was very dirty, beds rock hard, bathroom couldn't swing a cat in and lighting awful.
The location is perfect, only 3min walk from Paddington station. An iron is available.
As regard to the facility, it is just a place to sleep for our trip. Don't expect comfort or anything than that. About breakfast, nothing is fresh but better than nothing.
Läget var bra, det var det ända!!!
Old, dusty, dirty and badly cleaned. Tiny small rooms. Breakfast was served i the hotellroom and it was a bad breakfast and not enough space to sit anywhere. The breakfast was a small piece of bread each, marmelad and little cheese and juice and a lot of cookies. It was problems with running water in toilettseat in 3 rooms. Had to change room because of it, but was the same problem in next room. No cleaning at all in one room, and badly in the others, no changing of towels. I recomend that you dont check in to this hotel.
We only wanted one night following a return from USA. Booked it as only 3 mins from train station & wanted an overnight stop before continuing journey via train home. The room was downstairs which was lucky as no lift for suitcases. Room was old but clean & tidy, kettle etc provided & clean towels etc provided. We didn't stay for breakfast, which was included, as were awake at 5.30am so decided to get an early start to journey home instead.
It was a very cramped room, en suite was very small, very dated building that needs modernising. Ok for a one night stay wouldn't want any longer.
Easy access to the train station
Breakfast is not good very cheap.
