The location is excellent - just a few steps away from the Royal Mile, which is the center for a lot of restuarants and tourist attractions. The accommodations were great too - very clean, updated appliances / fixtures, decent sized rooms. The only complaint is that the apartment complex walls are quite thing, and the hotel was very noisy at night - and not because of any pubs or restaurants. The reason is that there was an inordinate number of guests staying at the hotel who were probably university students...and they were shouting and partying until 2-3am...both in their rooms and in the hallways. This is terrible when you (and your kids) are trying to get some sleep at night. |

We enjoyed its proximity to all the obvious tourist attractions, shopping and wonderful restaurants Edinburgh has to offer. The kitchen was dirty with cracked wine glasses, dirty oven and cracked and lose floor tiles. If one wanted to eat, the crockery was small. The bed linen, pillows and duvet were of poor quality and the people in the flat above smoked on the landing filling our apartment with cigarette smoke |

The apartments are centrally located on the historic Royal Mile with all amenities in easy reach. The accomodation is comfortable with every requirement provided for. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend made largely in part by St Giles apartments. |

I have absolutly no complaints about these apartments. We (a group of 6) all agreeed that this was the best place we have ever stayed in. Overall a great deal i would recomend this to anyone. Great location, views and very clean and spacious. |

The location of the hotel, overall, was good. Rooms were mainly of a good size. Lots of dust round skirting boards. |

Location was perfect ...halfway along the royal mile. Apartments were clean. There was not enough water in the tank for 3 of us to shower each time ...and someone was always showering in ice cold water ...even though the apartment sleeps 4 !!! |

An affordable modern well equipped apartment to stay with children. Close to tourist attractions and great with a car parking space available. One of the bedrooms was quite cramped but as we were only staying two nights we put up with it. |

arrangements should be made to meet outside the apartments to collect the keys if not you will have trouble driving from the key collection point to the apartments and parking is expensive |

the vodka and the company ha ha. location, apartment was great , clean roomy everything you needed there was no mention of the stairs and we had two 60 plus year olds with us so was a bit of a climb and need to let guest know about the 78 steps |

the parking facility We did not like the fact that we did not have shampoo or soap in the bathrooms and we did not have hot water. When we called the manager to tell him about it, he gave us wrong information teeling us to turn the hot water cylinder on which was not sufficient to get hot water. When we called again he transferred us to someone else who explained us how to turn the gas boiler on. Unacceptable not to have hot water, not to have put the boiler on before our arrival, not have bothered coming to fix the problem instead of having us struggling to solve the problem with wrong information gi ven by a manager not knowing precisely how the hot water is produced |

The apartment was beautiful and modern. We were directly across the street from the St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile. The best shopping was at our doorstep as well as some great little restaurants. Edinburgh Castle was at the top of the hill and Mary, Queen of Scot's Holyrood Abbey Palace was at the bottom. We took the train to St. Andrew's one day and the location was very convenient to the train station. Looking back over our 2 week stay in England and Scotland, this was our favorite. (Mom w/ 17 y/o daughter) After our 3 day tour of Scotland we stayed for 2 days at the George Hotel. We wished were back on the Royal Mile and had to keep taking a taxi back and forth. We stayed in the first apt. There is no lift, so managing two large suitcases up a flight of stairs was a little challenging- but worth it! |

The Location only Cleanliness not good, carpets needed shampooing desperately, strong smoking smell throughout, although meant to be a non smoking apartment, en suite shower off putting, needed drain cleaned out. Stated was a "luxurious" but far from that in reality. |

Instructions of picking the keys need to be clear. Such as Park your car. Walk to the Royal mile . Pick up the keys opposite the cathedral/or landmark. Then proceed to apartments with your luggage. |
