Our apartment was renovated and had modern kitchen and bathroom. There was no reception, but the caretakers were very friendly. The apartment was very centrally situated, but noisy. We had asked for a place that would be quiet at night. Replace old windows with modern. This would significantly reduce:1) risk of young kids falling out of the window, 2) immense street noise, 3) terrible draft that left the apartment cold - in July! Replace defect stereo and vacuum-cleaner. Improve security e.g. stronger maindoor to apartment. We felt very unsafe in the apartment. |

The whole apartment was wonderful - clean, beautifully decorated and furnished and comfortable. It was very spacious - ideal for children. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to assist us and were so helpful. I would thoroughly recommend St Giles Apartments and it is much better value than a hotel if you are travelling with children. |

The apartments were very close to the bars and restaurants, and the Castle was a "walkable" distance away. |
