Old Fishmarket appartments was in a fantastic location just off the Royal Mile. The space was good for the money (compared with a hotel). There was tea, coffee and a bottle of water left for us. The appartment's decor was a bit shabby and not that clean. It was also poorly maintained with several broken items, including a piece missing from a plug socket leaving the live wire exposed - dangerous for children - a jagged exposed join across the threshold of a doorway and a couple of broken sliding doors. There were no clear instructions about how to use the facilities and so we couldn't get the DVD or Freeview to work for example. The rubbish bins were locked away. The approach down the alley felt a bit secluded to be arriving in the dark safely. It didn't feel like the luxury appartment the website had suggested.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here in the last year and would always choose to stay here when we visit Edinburgh.Very central - just 5 mins walk from railway station. Walking distance of eateries and shopping. Apartment well equipped and the lovely large windows in the living area great for watching people across at the St Giles cathedral. Very quiet in the bedroom at the rear of the property and apart from the clock chiming in the cathedral very little or no noise with the bedroom door shut.

Comfortable spacious apartment, easy access to station and short walk to city centre. The designated parking space was the reason for us booking this rather than the more centrally situated St Giles apartment. There was no internet access available which I would have expected from this standard of accommodation. There is no shower in main bathroom only a bath which made it tricky for for adults getting ready to go out!

Ideal location for visiting the sights of Edinburgh in a stylish new development. Good restaurants and supermarket within easy reach and liked the security of an entry fob apartment. Comfortable lounge and dining area with everything we needed plus tea/coffee etc. provided. Good size bathroom with toiletries and fluffy towels and lots of storage space in bedroom. The bed! In such a relatively small space why would you put in a wrought iron bed with "prison bars" either end to completely dominate the bedroom. It meant it was difficult to get round to the other side of the bed and every time you turned over the springs twanged! Maybe a bit more thought when you replace the bed next time. Also, I'm sure the company could afford to replace the very dirty cushions on the sofa (? blood stained), supply two spoons rather than one and buy a proper door wedge or door stop for the lounge door rather than a bit of old cardboard.

We liked everything about the St. Giles apartment. It was a pleasure to deal with the staff, the apartment was lovely and luxurious, and the location couldn't be better for Edinburgh sights. We wished we could have stayed several nights. maybe the few steps we had to carry luggage up, but nothing, really.

What a fabulous apartment! The location of the apartment was very central, on the Royal Mile opposite St Giles cathedral and really near to the castle. Although our apartment wasn't looking out on to the Royal Mile we still had a great view of Princes Street. It was on the second floor and was very quiet considering where it was. It was very nicely decorated and huge. The people at the letting office were helpful and friendly, they were happy for us to leave our luggage there. Very straight forward to check in and out, office was right next to the apartments down a little alleyway. It would have been nice to have closer parking but it wasn't a massive issue, we parked in a multi storey on the other side of the castle. As we didn't have heavy suitcases we were able to walk there quite easily.

The apartment we stayed in was in Lochend Close just off the Holyrood end of the Royal Mile. We found it a perfect compromise between the main part of The Old Town, less than ten minutes walk away, and Holyrood Park with Arthur's Seat. We welcomed the opportunity for some moderately strenuous walking. There was no shortage of restaurants, possibly better for being slightly removed from the main tourist area. The dedicated parking space made it feasible to bring all the creature comforts we might need, and gave us the option to explore further afield had we ever exhausted what Central Edinburgh had to offer. We found the apartment was well-designed, comfortable and well-equipped. Staff in the office were courteous and helpful, and very prompt in dealing with the one little problem, possibly self-inflicted, which arose. The need to check-in at the main office was perhaps an inconvenience with respect to our apartment ten minutes walk away, but only a minor one, in spite of the shortage of obvious parking nearby. We would book into the same apartment again with no hesitation. Any criticisms are purely nit-picking. Wi-fi access would have been welcome, though, in fairness, it was made perfectly clear from the outset that this was not available at this apartment. Some soap would have been useful in addition to the shower/bath unguents which were provided. We would have appreciated a decent radio (though we had in fact brought our own), and the apparent non-working of the dvd function on the tv was a very minor disappointment.

The location couldnt be better, we stayed in apartment 1a which is on the first floor. the view from the lounge looks straight out onto parliament square and st giles cathedral. The living area is huge and very well presented, the kitchen area has everything you need to cook anything. The bathroom and the bedroom were also very well presented and had everything you could want. We only had one minor complaint about St Giles apartments, The apartment is single glazed which in the lounge is great as the street and city sounds (including bagpipes) provide a great atmosphere. However, this does not translate well in the bedroom as the sounds from the alleyway below were very loud from very early in the morning. With this very minor issue fixed this apartment would be perfect.

The location is perfect. In the middle of the Royal Mile and in front of Sanit Giles cathedral. The apartments are plenty of room, the bedrooms are excellent and they provide with towels, sheets and even water and orange juice, You can leave your luggage in the apartments office until 7:00pm the day you check out It is pefect to visit the city! The office to pick up the key closes at 8:00pm. We arrived at 19:40 because of our flight schedule. The person who gave us the keys was a bit "nervous". I felt like he want to go home...

Good sized accommodation which was fairly convenient for travelling on foot to most areas of Edinburgh. It included parking which must be a priority in Edinburgh as parking was very difficult. The accommodation was very well appointed and clean and had excellent facilities to make the trip enjoyable well done!

A very good choice! Clean, fresh nice bed linnen and towels rugs etc, nice finishing of the appartment (Holyrood 89 App 2) granite in kitchen, good bathroom and toilet finishing, magnificent location next to the Royal Palace, Arthur's Seat, Royal Mile and Princess Street. Concierge was very helpful at late arrival. Magnificent view out of the living room towards the museum Mother's Earth and the hill Arthur's Seat. Little supermarket up the road. You feel at home straight away. Will book again this appartment next time before hitting the Highlands by car out of Edinburgh. Perhaps the beds could be a little bit less hard and a bit longer. In this class of appartments a Radio/CD combination should be provided for as well (music channels on tele were sometimes distorted). Given this day and age of the internet some Wi-Fi access should be offered within the price of the rent. There was a shortage of access points so I could not log in even if I wanted to pay for the service. A funny point is that the sofas are in a fake leather so you slip out of them every 5 minutes .. :-)
