圣吉尔斯公寓  

入住的时候请一定要注意，网站上的地址不是check in的地址，而是房子所在的位置。请先到st Giles Church对面办理入住（不是很好找）。入住后发现套房非常干净，整洁，我定的是旧鱼市场位置两室一厅的- 房子，厨房很大，有洗衣机，但要自备洗衣粉。可以自己做饭吃，感觉太好了。位置也很好，出来就是皇家一英里- 那条街，离火车站也很近。我比较推荐家庭旅游的朋友选这个公寓。

In an ideal location, 10 mins from Castle and opposite St Giles Cathedral. Plenty of shops and restaurants within minutes. The Apartments were very modern and clean and very well furnished - even down to tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls & water & juice in the fridge!!

To be picky I would say to make sure that future customers realise that there are several stairs to enter the apartment. And to be even pickier - just a few more hangers in the wardrobe would have been great!!

Handy for Edinburgh Castle and buses for the zoo to see the Pandas.

The only compliant, which isn't the apartments fault, is the shouting and screaming from the Ghost Tours that stop outside the apartments in the alleyway. They start at about 2200 and continue every hour or so until 0300 or 0330.

Very nice to spread out have a sitting room and tv, dining table and kitchen.

Couldn't get it warm enough. Instructions for heating were given orally at check in and were somewhat involved, we did not remember. Also we could not figure out how to turn on the dishwasher, it would be good if instructions were nearby. The holder fro the shower piece broke upon the first shower attempt., making showering difficult. Beds don't have boxspring, but are comfy and low, so older folks might have trouble with this, although we did not. We are young and mobile, but were thinking that folks with wheelchairs might have trouble getting down the alley to the apartment entrance.

You have te get the keys of your apartment from the main office, just in front of St. Giles Church. The apartment we got (6/1 Lochend Close) is at street level (no stairs). It is large and comfortable, well equipped with everything you need. There is a toilet with tube avaikable for all and a toilet with shower in the main bedroom. Do not forget to check the timer for heating and hot water (I found the clock wrongly set). There is a private parking for your car. The apartment is few steps away from the Royal Mile (Canongate). No need to drive for visiting the old town.

The inly things we missed were an access to the Internet and curtains to keep the bedrooms dark at night. Doors squeak and some of them do not stay open, but you can live with that.

It has a very good price quality relationship and the apartment we were on was located right at the city center. Staff is really friendly.

The fact that you have to check in away from some of the flats can be an unconveniernce.

Lots of rubbish left outside entrance to apartments a bit off putting. Main rug in lounge of apartment dirty & paintwork a bit tired.
