I would say it is a designer appartment in a very rich part of London though the ceiling is very low and if you are quite tall you will have trouble:)). You will be definitely happy to live "like a local". Some facilites are missing such as microwave (or I failed to find it) and we had some troubles with the boiler - the water in the bathroom was either cold or hot - probably we do not have enough practice with that:))
