The breakfast was great
The restaurant buffet dinner cost £15 and gave a delicious range of food (even for me with a need for Gluten Free) which I considered excellent. The staff were really friendly. I thought the price we paid of £55 per (family) room (in November) was very good value. There was dancing in the bar/ballroom which was great. We got back from viewing the Illuminations and had a drink at the bar and watched the other guests dancing. I wished that I had known how to dance so I could have joined in.
I have a sensitive back and need a very high quality bed. To be fair the St Ives bed was no worse than most other hotels I have stayed in but not good enough for me.
Pool, lounge areas, friendly staff. Would stay again.
Hard mattress, pillows too soft. There was a moisty damp smell in the bathroom, really needs a refresh.
Very easy, pleasant check-in. Room comfortable and quiet.
Could hear the kitchen extractor fans, but I did have the windows open
the chef went beyond expectation for dietary requirement and staff were very welcoming
hotel is exceptional for families but we were 2 friends wanting a relaxing break could not get a quiet swim until 9 pm and no kid free areas not aware of this when we booked
location food staff cleanliness
family orientated at weekend parents dont know how to keep their kids under control
location,nice friendly staff.
kids running about until 11pm. breakfast bacon hard like cardboard
Good size room Comfortable bed
Room in annex to rear of hotel - felt prefab, poor/delapidated construction, noisy. Heating off on arrival - room cold. Damp and musty smell. Unable to detect Wifi yet claims to be available in all areas.
very clean and friendly would definatley stay again when in the area
all was ok
This is the second time we have stayed here with our grandchildren and we have enjoyed it both times . My 13yr old granddaughter loved her room very grown up, room 22 we will be back.
the plus was that the breakfast was lovely & the restaurant was very nice
hated room, very basic, phone was filthy & room dated but we hardly slept with the constant noise-walls wafer thin & could hear the bar noise, other rooms & outside-never again
The staff were very helpful, and we were given the type of room we requested. Breakfast was lovely, with a good choice, and we enjoyed the leasure facilities
loved the entertainment day and evening. we went with our grown up family and the grandchildren, they had a great time. pool area was good as well, they loved it.food was nice and very reasonable.will stay again.

Easy access to the town - pleasant walks -very restful.
Only buffet available.
Great family hotel. Perfect location. Lovely staff. Something to do for all ages. Will definitely book again.
Great location near beach.pier & town. Nice enough staff. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Room itself was spacious but not great view from small window. Not bad for what we paid and a two star.
Our stay was reasonable and we were overal happy ,however i was left with a bad taste in my mouth by the fact our room wasnt connected to the main hotel and involved walking to the side and back of the hotel to get there Which was a pain having to carry my 1 year old in the rain .Also the play area needs a upgrade but glad it was there.
Friendly staff, great wifi, good location, good breakfast and nice lounge. Comfortable hotel overall and I would stay there again.
Room was a bit small and the pillows were anemic.
Good value ,old fashioned style of seaside hotel . May not suit all . Book a room within striking distance of the reception . Great location for a hotel and good parking facilities and leisure facilities nearby .
Long walk to room 56 and no help offered
Value for money (b&b). Child friendly. Lots to keep children busy.Friendly helpful staff.Good entertainment.
Room tired. Evening meal overpriced and not great quality (ate out on 2nd night). Damp smell in outside foyer area - offputting.Young staff worked hard and were very helpful but distinct lack of more experienced personnel.
Swimming pool and sauna and very friendly staff
