With its grand original Victorian façade, this AA 3-star hotel has superb facilities and a great location, right on the promenade, offering panoramic views of the coastline of the northwest.

We love the children's entertainment, when the children are happy then everyone is. Can't fault it.
Bar a little expensive
Good food. Friendly staff
we had a lovely stay, room was not the biggest but was clean and fresh. The food was fantastic and all the staff were very attentive.would certainly go back again.
Pool Food Friendly Staff Location
Room above Entertainment too noisy for young children. Should have been warned.
Breakfast was great - good choice, well-cooked, fresh orange, granola, lovely croissants, self-service. Nice sized pool but can get very busy with children & it is not supervised. Good location & clean room.
Beware - the changing rooms are MIXED (and small)... there are a few cubicles but not ideal. Room was small and basic - not worth £105. Overall sense of shabbiness, eg back yard behind pool.
Homely and comfortable
Needs unsatisfactory and room 4 very noisy from fan below from kitchen
Not enough parking.we had to park on the road & had to move our car by 10am the following morning
Everything hotel in need of a makeover dirty breakfast was a farce with mountains of dirty plates on tables & carefree attitude of staff would have sooner stayed in a tent!!!
Great location in centre of town opposite the beach and pier. Friendly staff. Great facilities especially for our 3 year old. Great Breakfast Buffet with quality food. Good spacious and clean room.
If I had to be picky I suggest the pool surrounds has safety matting put down as I slipped when walking and I saw numerous other people slip too.
Excellent sea front location very close to amenities and the town centre. Nice looking swimming pool. Children's activities-didn't attend any though but good looking programme.
Room could have done with a good hoover as there were bits on the floor that were not ours. Bathroom was dated as was the whole hotel. Breakfast was not great-some glasses were a little dirty and the coffee assigned very nice. The kitchen had only been rated 3 out of 5 for hygiene standards.
The night reception lady
The room was very very small the carpet was soaking wet and smelt damp. The walls had damp stains & the ceiling paper was coming off. They asked us to pay on arrival good job as we would not have paid ! When we went for breakfast there was not fruit juice read no coffee read no bread butter sauce & no clean tables. When I complained on check out all I was told to do was fill out a questionnaire & they would pass it onto management
Close proximity to the beach & St Annes town center/promenade & pier Plenty of on site parking. Easy access. Good indoor pool facilities
Food [evening meal] was not up to usual standards, this was the 3rd time of visiting the hotel in 5 years, however, the breakfasts made up for it!!
On booking required a cot,,,the reception never looked at our reservation until we arrived, never saw request for cot, therefore room not big enough for one. Couldn't settle in room given and complained daily ..promising to sort and never did,.
No aircon, very small room.
Great for beach shops and local bus routes. Breakfast really good.
We had a small room at the back with no view. Book early to get a sea view.
I stayed at the st ives with my 4 daughters age range between 2-16 there was lots of activities for all ages the kids loved it. Staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble for them. Food was excellent the soup of the day was beautiful breakfast was excellent as well. Swimming pool was good and the kids loved fun with the floats there's so much going in in the hotel for children that they could never get bored. We have already booked are next visit for New year and we can't wait to stay again
There was no air con in rooms which made it hard to sleep at night. But I asked for a fan and one was brought to our room straight away
The problem was with the buffet self-service, the cooked food was not hot enough to serve. We did not enjoy the meals during our stay. R.G. Collingwood
Breakfast was good. Swimming pool and cafe ideal. Room was spacious. Would go again but look at other hotels as well.
Cleanliness of the room - could do with a lick of paint. Bathroom not very hygienic - towel rail at back of bath very rusty also the panel at front of bath very dirty. Activities were aimed mainly at children of over 5 years old no activities really for very young children. Had to keep asking for straws for the children every morning at breakfast. I moved the beds together at night because of the young children to find dust and dirt under the beds.
The position is very good , near the beach and promenade, shops etc. The food was excellent and a great choice for breakfast and dinner. Near Blackpool for the Pleasure Beach and nightlife!
The rooms were disappointing, at the back of the hotel and quite a maze to get to them . No privacy from the houses opposite, needs a blind on nets on the windows. We were told they are due for refurbishment in the autumn.
I travelled with my husband, daughter, son in law and Their two sons aged six and seventeen months. We had fantastic rooms. The family room was enormous, just what you want with children. The bathroom was great with two showers! Our room was good too! The swimming pool is lovely. The breakfast was great.
There was nothing not to like
Staff and the breakfast
Shabby bar area, room situated over kitchen fans and we got woke up very early, wasn't worth the money paid, needs a lot of TLC
Everything nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel important
Pool times at week end and towel deposit system Narrow corridors Noise of fabric, you could hear the floor above & room adjacent Children are free at week ends in rooms all of July Road closure on the Sunday due to cycle race
The Holtel Was Well Placed for us to see the Fylde coast
It Needs some Refurbishing
lovely restaurant and food great location friendly staff
food not always hot (the downfalls of buffet style eating I have found the same problems at other hotels)
