The sea view and the excellent food. Also a great bonus having free parking.
Can't think of anything. Had a lovely weekend.
Great Location not to far from bars etc... Very clean rooms
Breakfast wasnt that good very poor, No fruit, No yogurt, toast was cold & sausages were very cheap. no key for front door only code lock which has small numbers, not good when you have been out in the town at night. Didnt clean rooms. only 1 x coffee and 1 x tea in my room
Lady made us very uncomfortable at breakfast
Lovely nights stay lucky enough to park right outside as only have 7 parking spaces so first come first served so friendly and welcoming Breakfast full English was delicious
Friendly staff - helpful and informative about what to do in Blackpool and keen that we should enjoy our stay. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. A short walk from Tower and other attractions. Wonderful sea and beach views. Nice sun lounge and games room. A traditional seaside hotel, well-run and maintained.
Good location, just past north pier but enough to be away from all the noise in the main area but not too far to walk or the tram stop is very near & lovely sea view
Bathroom didnt have a shower & a bath is too time consuming
Nice clean room apart from some dusting that needed doing. Comfy bed. Lovely sea front view.
Room was really cramped. Window did not close properly, piece missing were the handle closes, so we had to listen to the wind whistling in all night. Bathroom was tiny. Had to sit sideways on toilet or sit with knees in shower door. Falling over toilet when getting out of shower. Didn't like breakfast, cheap sausages with hard bits in them. Bacon was flavourless. We came for breakfast at 9am and the tastier cereal was gone. So limited on what I could have. Needless to say we slept in the morning after and ate out.
Excellent service, would go back
No problems with anything
The way I and my father were treated as customers we felt really in welcome and was told a list of rules straight away couple screamed at me asif I was a little child because I came in late at night and thretened me numerous times with the police for no apparent reason I think this is possibly the worst hotel I have ever went to and I have been to some bad ones we felt so uncomfortable we didn't even stay to have out breakfast I call the place a jail because I felt threatened.
great location helpful staff, very comfortable room.
Very friendly , food lovely
Shower not working properly
I had a single room (en suite with bath) which was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and set one up for the day out and about. The hosts want their guests to have an enjoyable stay, and the location on the North Promenade is very good. The St.James Hotel is highly recommended for families, and solo travellers,
Bath only in the en suite, and although adequate, I would arrange a room with a shower for my next stay.
Friendly, helpful staff and great location.
The people who owned it were really lovely, the were very friendly. Location is good as not noisy at all. Still Worth booking I would say.
The glass in the room was sticky and stuck to the napkin, my partner had the full English breakfast and said it was average, however we were late for breakfast as I was poorly so were grateful to be served.
Location, cleanliness and breakfast.
Good hearty breakfast best sausages I have tasted for a long time.8 mins walk to winter gardens ideal location.
nothing about the hotel.
We had to leave the prams in the car and carry the babies up the steps in to hotel because there was no room in the lift, which felt like a death trap. There was never any staff around when you needed them. Breakfast was so late in the morning so we had to eat out. The combination on the front door is so long it takes you a while to get in which is awkward when you are carrying two babies.
Very clean, excellent sea view and very near tram and bus stops.
Due to owner having an accident week prior to our arrival all the advertised facilities, the bar, was not available. Owner reimbursed us when we reduced our stay which was a nice touch.
Friendly hotel, food very good excellent value for money and good position for all amenities.
Away from the noise of the South Pier, St. James Hotel is a very friendly, well maintained, mature and welcoming guest house. Recommended.
the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. the breakfast was good and the hosts very friendly
Very friendly staff. Fantastic view on the seaside and the north pier.
Friendly family atmosphere, great value, sea views.
There was no soap in the bathroom and the soap tray in the shower was filthy. My wife and I had bites from staying in the bed and the carpet had not been hoovered for a long time. The location was noisy as there was a karaoke on next door until about 12 midnight. The walls must be very thin as we were woken up both nights on several occasions with children crying or jumping around in the room. When we mentioned the children were noisy in the adjacent room when we first arrived we were told "Well they are on their holidays!". When we checked out on the last day without having breakfast as we were shattered and just wanted to get home the owner was aggressive and had an argument with me. Don't want to waste anymore time writing this but needless to say we did not have an enjoyable stay and will never return.
