St James House - Concept Serviced Apartments  

1. Convenience of apartment 9 on 1st floor: nice & spacey room facing street, fully equipped kitchen, regulated batteries, openable windows, convenient bed; common laundry facilities in basement. 2. Safe and convenient location - tube station Shepperds Bush (with Westfield shopping mall and supermarket Waitrose) - 5-7 min by walk; tube station Holland Park - 10-15 min by walk or 2 bus stops (with Tesco Express, 7.00-23.00). Buses - just near house 175 (Hilton Hotel), we actively used 94, 148, 295. Advice to study their routes. 3. Responsiveness of service staff: 2nd key was delivered during few hours, e-mail questions were quickly answered.

Not possible to leave luggage after checkout at 11 am (if your flight is later).

The room was really nice, clean and very helpful to have one cook, refrigerator and micro wave. The location was really good also, near some restaurants, supermarket and metro station holland park.

I have bad complain about the bed, it was really making so much noise that we could not sleep the first day, so for the others days, we just took the mattress to the floor to be able to sleep.

I was very pleased with the location, which was midway between the modern shops of Westfield in one direction, and small independent shops (including a good bookstore) in the other. Many restaurants and bars close by. The apartment was everything I needed--not luxurious, but good value for money.

No real complaints. Other visitors might want to be aware that items not supplied include tea towels and a full-length mirror; also, if you have problems with stairs, request a lower-floor room.

The location is great near to an underground station and many buses in front. Efficient response to maintenance needs.

Housekeeping once a week is not convenient, twice a week will be much better. Also two bath and one face towel for two persons for a whole week is not enough, this should be doubled. The room needs a mirror, perhaps behind the door or inside the cupboard door. The shower needs a shelf for soap etc. a toaster is needed. The corner edge of the bed is sharp and is a hazard for legs. It should be covered with a soft padding. No reception all day.

The location: close to the Central Line and thus close to all places we wanted to visit. Value for money. only one doorlock can be locked

- there is a blockage in the basin in the bathroom (I did not have the tools to unblock it) - there is a crack in the window - it would be nice to override the central heating system

The appartment has an excellent location, close to the underground and many busses. And the White City shopping mall, which is huge, with restaurants to chooose from. Free wifi worked great. Realy liked the modern feel of the appartment, you can see that it has been remodeld recently. Bathroom/Shower is rather small but sufficient, and works well. One of the radiators did not work on our first night and someone came over the same day we called to fix it. Perfect for a few days in London!

It is a shame that the bed was of such poor quality. It was loud, creaked with every turn you made and the mattress was in a well used state. Such a shame for such a nice place! Everything else was perfect realy, but a good bed is important and not a luxury.

brilliant location. on bus route into town and 5 mins walk to westfield shopping centre. was clean and warm.

This location was exceptionally convenient to the Westfield Shopping Center. Additionally it is easy to catch the underground at Shepherds Bush station or the Holland Park station. Holland Park Avenue has a delightful residential atmosphere with small coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants. There is a tesco Express located near the Holland Park underground station. The apartment itself was clean, conveniently laid out and a pleasant space. It was light, airy and open. I would definitely book in here again in the future.

I would have liked to have had information on how to dispose of trash. I would have been happy to have disposed of my trash daily but didn't know how to do so. This is a relatively minor inconvenience.

Nice, clean room without carpets. Good kitchenette with refrigerator. Close to bus stops (bus 94 to Piccadilly Circus + other) and underground. Easy to reach from Heathrow airport - take underground and change to bus at Hammersmith. Good shopping centre (Westfields) nearby.

The plug hole in the shower was mostly blocked. We happened to bump in to the cleaner on the way out and he fixed it straight away. Top service.

The apartment was immaculate, the location ideal - a five minute walk to the Shepherds Bush underground station where we could catch the central line. As we were in London for the Olympics, we found the price quite reasonable compared to other options we had looked at. Although there was no reception, when a problem came up and we phoned the number we had been given, it was all sorted out promptly and courteously, to our entire satisfaction. I would definitely recommend the St. James House to anyone going to London and who might wish to have a bit of independence, eat some of their meals and not have to eat all their meals at restaurants.

The location was good but extremely noisy as it was on the main road the price was good, but i do think as a single person yyou should not have to pay as two people

The Noise, no air condition, room very warm, On booking I did request a top sheet also a fan which i did not get, their was hair from the person before on the shower tiles, the microwave had not been cleaned was dirty from splash and spilt food The room was very small with the bed next to the sink, I was very dissopointed

I liked the Apartment, it was clean and the location was perfect.

There was no air conditioning so we had to open the windows which meant we heard a lot of the traffic during the day and night. Other than that we were satisfied with everything.

(+) independence - the fact there is no reception, that you can come and go as you wish as long as you respect a few basic/common sense rules which every accommodation has. (+) location/accessibility - between the metro stations Holland Park and Sheperds Bush, bus stop, 10mins walking from the biggest shopping mall (Westfield), many restaurants in the area. (+) clear instructions - since the accommodation does not have a reception desk, they sent me by e-mail everything I needed to know about checking in/out. (+) Wireless internet connection (which most hotels have in the public areas). (+) Kettle in the kitchen. (+) good value for money comparing with the rates/location of other hotels.

(-) noise level - being located on the main avenue, you can hear cars/busses going around all night. If you are a light sleeper as I am, you might not entirely get a good sleep; my boyfriend however had no problem with that. (-) kitchen soap - the room has a kitchenette with a couple of plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and cutlery. You're expected to leave everything clean, however there is no kitchen soap available to actually clean them. You could of course buy a kitchen soap, but if you leave next day and only used a few of them, it's not really worth it. (-) toilet stuff - we were expecting to find the small soaps and shower gel hotels normally provide; we had only 1 small soap and 1 tiny tube of gel. (-) fridge - had a bit of bad smell and was noisy, we had to plug it off during the night. (-) body towels/bed sheets - are changed only if you stay at least 7 days. You could wash them on your own expense. General remark to manage your expectations: While the apartment is nice and clean, we were expecting something more like in the picture on the website, however we got an apt. in the basement. Despite that, I'd certainly stay here again.

Clean. Good position. There's a parquet floor instead of the usual carpet!

O apartamento possuía uma boa instalação para quem gosta de cozinhar e uma internet razoável. Equipamentos para passar roupa disponível no corredor. Frigobar bom. O sistema de senhas da porta funciona bem.

Escadas, escadas e escadas. Nos informaram que ficaríamos no terceiro andar, todavia nos colocaram no último andar do prédio. Imagine subir e descer escadas e mais escadas com malas grandes e pesadas? Foi um terror! Ficamos por 5 dias no apartamento e ninguém apareceu sequer para retirar o lixo que se acumulava, pois também não tínhamos instrução de onde depositarmos. Quer saber se uma limpeza realmente é boa? Olhe debaixo da cama! Chuveiro razoável.

Que hubiera papel sanitario suficiente para la estancia, y que hubiera secador de pelo y plancha para la ropa aunque fuera en el pasillo de la entrada a los apartamentos

El baño más pequeño que he visto nunca, no puedes lavarte las manos sin chocar con la puerta o con la ducha, sólo un minúsculo bote de gel de baño y un minúsculo bote de crema hidratante, todo para 3noches. Nos metieron en un apartamento/sótano en el que se escuchaba absolutamente todo, imposible dormir, la calle com mas tráfico de la zona.

Estaba limpio, era bastante amplio, con una cocina grande, separada de la habitación, el apartamento 9 era exterior, daba a dos calles.

Demasiado ruido de la carretera, si te cuesta dormir tendrás problemas. Hay poca vajilla, solo dos vasos, un par de cubiertos, un solo rollo de papel higiénico para 4 días. No hay recepción, el último día nos tuvimos que ir a las 11 sin poder dejar las maletas. Tele pequeña sin canales internacionales. Baño un poco pequeño.

Hemos encontrado todo en orden, y al llegar la habitación estaba con la calefacción prendida, lo que, con el frío que había afuera, fue ideal. Nos gustó que dejaran jabón y utensillos para lavar, papel en la cocina y el baño, etc. La ubicación.

Tout ! je conseille le St. James les yeux fermés ! je compte revenir sur Londres prochainement et je pense avoir trouvé mon pied a terre... Idéalement placé... Bus métro etc... tout a deux pas !

per due persone è ottimo,molto ben posizionato vicino alla "central line" e fermate bus,dove anche le linee notturne ci arrivano facilmente da qualsiasi zona.L'appartamento molto ben curato,parquet che a londra è abbastanza raro,bagno abbastanza spazioso,tutto il necessario per chi in crisi d'astinenza decide di cucinarsi un piatto di pasta o cuocersi una bistecca.

niente da segnalare,forse,l'unica cosa, che questo appartamento specifico era un seminterrato,ma comunque luminoso.
