Very clean everywhere, excellent location near Windermere and Bowness. Friendly staff and brilliant gourmet breakfast. Had a budget room which was larger than I expected. Bathroom was quite small but more than adequate. Good value for money, Would recommend. |

I chose St John's because it is an environmentally friendly hotel and I wasn't dissappointed. Also good location - you can walk to both villages and railway station easily (10 minutes). Good local fell walks and Barry & Sue loaned us maps. Place was spotlessly clean and of course the breakfasts are unbeatable. Lovely quality and superb choice.Free wi fi worked well and we used the free leisure club. All in all great value for money. Will return. |

Very Friendly and helpful Staff, central location walking distance to town for dinner at Pubs and Restaurants. Room Small but very clean bed comfortable. Full english breakfast very nice and price included in accommodation. Parking at front or on street. Stairs can be a problem but just take an overnight bag from your car for the night. |

Good location, easy parking, warm cosy room, and brillian staff . Breakfasts were outstanding. If you want quality food not the processed rubbish found at most B & Bs this is the place. |

Staff were very friendly, and they catered for dietary requirements like vegetarian and coeliac. This was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small. |

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean and we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were amazing - a choice of over thirty different dishes. Very impressed by the number of vegetarian options and that they catered for people with various food allergies. |

The location was good for the shops and the lakes.The cleanliness and the comfort of the room was of a very high standard.Also the hotel staff (Julian) were very freindly and helpful!!! |

It's a great location between the two towns. Our room although unremarkable was clean and warm with everything you need including a good shower. The choice of breakfast is fantastic and I don't think many people missed it during our stay there. The staff were helpful and informative and not intrusive. A great stay. Walls were a little thin and maybe breakfast could be extended a little. |

Our room was very spacious with a large shower room. Unfortunately we were on the top floor so it was quite a treck and also we were facing the main road so there was quite a lot of traffic noise. The breakfast was fantastic and there was so much choice! |

The breakfast menu was extensive and caters for special needs such as gluten free diets. The staff made me brown rice bread to have with my breakfast as I am wheat free. The staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms were lovely with excellent bathroom facilities. Not enough parking for guests, but local free parking available close by. |
