The breakfast menu was extensive and caters for special needs such as gluten free diets. The staff made me brown rice bread to have with my breakfast as I am wheat free. The staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms were lovely with excellent bathroom facilities. Not enough parking for guests, but local free parking available close by. |

I stayed @ the guest house because they were able to provide me with a gluten free diet It was a perfect place to explore the Lake district,& so near to the lake & all the wonderful places to eat We really enjoyed our stay, plus able to come & go as we pleased. We will be back. Nothing really although the traffic noise was a bit heavy @ times in room No11 where we were! but we still slept well the bed was very comfy.No complaints |

St Johns Lodge location was fantastic, with a short walk into town where you can find lots of shops & restaurants nearby to the lake. This is excellent value for money and we'd definatley stay again, although the breakfast time was a little early with a short time frame for eating it to! The room upon arrival was freezing, thankfully the heating came on later that evening, however the room temp quickly dropped overnight giving us both a cold disturbed nights sleep! |
