The initial welcome was extremely friendly and this set the scene for a very enjoyable stay.

Stayed here for my birthday and having never been to the area found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were exceptionally clean and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely go back and stay again and would highly recommend.

St John's Lodge was in an excellent position for both Windermere and Bowness. It was clean and friendly, very comfortable room and bed, shower room was excellent. Breakfasts were excellent and well presented and staff very quick and efficient. In all a lovely trip and lodgings. Thankyou.
We loved the greeting on arrival it made us feel so at home, the room was beautiful and very well presented, the breakfast was second to none in every way shape and form, all in all we loved our stay and would very much stay there again
Location, clean, bathroom was good
Parking was very difficult, room very small and no sitting room available
excellent breakfast with very high quality ingredients (orange juice not from concentrate, home made granola, fresh fruit-salat etc etc); staff is very friendly and helpful

This is an excellent base for a visit to the lake district with every amenity to hand
All amenities spot on with nothing overlooked. Wine glasses and corkscrew a nice touch. Breakfasts were sensational and staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
Car parking off the premises across the road was a minor irritation.
Choice of breakfast was fantastic
We stayed here for 2 nights, lovely hotel, felt so relaxed. Staff were very helpfull and great breakfast. We will be returning again. Thanks Sue for a great stay.

Hotel was within walking distance of Bowness and Windermere.
Bedroom was a bit dark being in the basement.

Good location friendly and helpful staff great breakfast we had what was classed as an economy room and it was just that ,wifi was only fair didn't work in our room the room was below ground level but clean and comfortable Having said that I would still say value for money it is a nice centrally located b & b to stay in if your in the Lake District and you can live without Wifi it just takes a little getting used to

The welcome we recieved was in my experience very good, very friendly. Our room was spacious and very clean with a superb shower. The dining room was spacious giving privacy with a wide range of excellent food. All the staff were very helpful I would definitely return
