The location and setting was picture perfect.but it is Pipper and Phil who made us feel very welcome in their guesthouse. The attention to detail which makes you feel important. (not just here your keys number 3).
Everything about The St Lawrence Country Guest House was wonderful, the rooms, the meals and the individual attention that makes it a pleasure to be there. From arrival until departure nothing was too much trouble.
pippa and Philip were the most wonderful hosts, they make you feel so comfortable and welcome in there home. Philips Breakfasts have to be seen to be believed, he bakes the most wonderful bread daily,Pippa finds time to have a chat with you at anytime, memories to keep and treasure. We will certainly be staying with them again in the future. John & Gwen from Lancashire.
There is nothing to dislike.
This is a really wonderful place to stay fantastic accommodation, food and welcome. Would highly recommend it to others & we will go back.
Can't think of anything
The warmth of the welcome, the amazing breakfasts, the wonderful views and the great location. Philip and Pippa are both charming professional and welcoming. We were made to feel comfortable and relaxed. Can't speak highly enough of our visit.
I haven't a single critisism.
Everything especially the breakfasts which my wife and myself enjoyed immensely. The location was great for those who wish the try different places. Our hosts poppa & Philip really put themselves out to go the extra mile.
breakfast choices great and delicious room fantastic all round brilliant
Everything!! The Raphael room had everything we needed, was spacious & clean and the bathroom was perfect. Pippa made us very welcome on arrival. Phil's breakfasts & particularly his home-made breads were wonderful. Pippa even gave us a lift into Tenby in the evening to a lovely restaurant that she had recommended. We will definitely be returning!!
beautiful grounds amazing breakfast wonderful hosts
We liked everything but next time we will book a room overlooking the gardens
Personal attention and friendliness of owners was second to none.Beautiful views in marvellous grounds. Home products such as own breads and fruit. Perfect hosts in a beautiful setting.
Everything about this B+B was just right for us. A short distance by car to Tenby yet fantastic views of Caldey Island and surrounding countryside. Large breakfasts with lots of home-made produce. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors.
accomadation super Breakfast excellent Easy access to surrounding area Host and hostess very welcoming and informative Pembrokeshire is definitely worth seeing and would recommend anyone to visit
The warm and friendly welcome. No effort was spared in order to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We really appreciated the variety and quality of the choices at breakfast, not forgetting Philip's wonderful bread and marmalade creations!
We can truthfully say that there was nothing that we didn't like, or felt was missing.
Lovely location and ease of access and parking. Room was really nice, and a very comfortable bed with fantastic view. Shower was amazing and all the complimentary bits were very high quality. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and very high quality again. Very friendly hosts, and very handsome dog.
Hosts very friendly and always willing to accommodate our travel needs. Excellent breakfast. Homely atmosphere.
Simply the best B&B ever. Pippa is a real character, full of fun and great tips, a born hostess. Philip is the master of the kitchen, producing fantastic jams (try the 3-fruit marmalade!!!), breads and breakfasts. Both give you the feeling that you can feel fully at home in their wonderful house, which is situated on 19 acres, strewn with picnic benches. There is an extraordinary medieval church on the grounds, as well as healing wells, which can be visited at any time. And there is a well-stocked bar and snack shelf (honesty box principle): guests are encouraged to chill out wherever they wish, whether outside or in the magnificent lounge. Breakfast is fantastic.
Hosts friendly & welcoming. Excellent location. Lovely room. Great breakfast.
We were given a warm welcome with choice of hot or cold drinks and home made cakes and taken to the garden to sit down and look out on a fabulous view. It was great to have such a beautiful garden with so many lovely places to sit and enjoy the view. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable with high quality soft linen. The range of fresh fruits and yoghurts for breakfast was exceptional, as was the wonderful freshly baked selection of breads. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful and did their utmost to help us enjoy our holiday.
The comfort, decor, food and service were all first class. Really attentive hosts. Ten out of ten, and the only time that I have ever given such a score. A truly memorable stay.
warm welcome from the hosts Phil and Pip. Every possible requirement catered for . Beautiful surroundings and extremely comfortable accommodation. breakfasts were delicious providing an excellent variety and choice.
Nothing apart from having to leave at the end of our stay.
Lovely location , really lovely Host and Hostess, Lovely room and views, Breakfast lovely great choice of food.would defiantly reccomend!
An excellent choice. The Guest House stands in 19 acres of grounds, with most rooms having views out to Caldey Island. The hosts (Pippa and Phil), were very welcoming, (greeting us with tea and cakes on arrival), and could not do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped, with the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were superb - we have not seen such a choice of juices, fresh fruit , yoghourts and cereals, together with various home made jams and marmalades, and freshly baked home made bread to start with, and then followed by individually cooked Welsh breakfasts. (Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible). Breakfasts are taken in the Conservatory overlooking the garden. The lounge was spacious and well equipped with DVD's, games and books for the wet days (luckily, we did not have any !!) Pippa and Phil were a mine of information on places to visit and also for recommending restaurants for evening meals in Tenby and the surrounding area. Many thanks Phil and Pippa (not forgetting Jackson, the dog) for a most enjoyable stay. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The Guest House was clean, tidy and well maintained. Pip and Phil were friendly and nothing too much trouble. The bedroom was modern, the bed comfy and the shower a good size. The breakfast, you've got to have breakfast, it's the best. You won't need lunch!
The whole deal was superb. Even the rain did not impair the experience. Great stuff. Would recommend to any friends visiting Tenby area.
Minor point: local sporting event meant road closures. Possibly some advice about this up front might have helped us planning. At the same time, proprietors went out of their way to be helpful.
We were made to feel very welcome by both Phil & Pippa from the moment we arrived until the moment we sadly had to leave. The room we stayed in was spotless, with beautiful views of Caldey in the distance. The breakfast was delicious especially Phil's homemade bread and the vegetarian sausages. We highly recommend.
