A moderately priced hotel with very good public room and excellent breakfast. Very poorly furnished bedroom. No chairs, headboards detached from beds. Very small bathroom with inadequate sink. No hot water in afternoon and evenings.

The receptionist/breakfast staff I don't think they have a vacuum cleaner for the 2nd floor, no bedside lamp in room 14, badly stained bedspreads in both 12&14,bedroom mugs filthy(but replaced when requested) curtains hanging off in room12(but rectified when told) no bins near tea tray which had to be on floor in room 14! fire door unable to be opened in room 12

Location was good Room was filthy with carpets that needed a vacuum, stains on walls and bed cover, snot and excrement splashes on walls, dirty mugs and teaspoon, dusty lamp, vent, cobwebs, dirty window. Bedding made me itch all night, the breakfast was ok but mushrooms were raw and there was minimum portions of everything, cutlery and glassware were not clean. Person at reception upon my arrival was not welcoming, the person on reception when I left was much better than the first person. The room booked was a smoking room but on arrival it was not a smoking room

The room was warm and comfortable enough. Hotel centrally situated. The sitting dining rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. A huge television for the kids. The staff were friendly and not imposing and you could come and go as you please. I would go back again Shower a bit small and the room could have been cleaner. The stairs were a little shallow and steep so could be a problem for older or the infirmed. There could have been a lift/better staircase elsewhere but I didn't see one.

Location was perfect for walking into town and the parking was very useful. Our room, although a little 'tired' & cobwebby was a good size with a comfortable bed. Soundproofing not brilliant as heard loud footsteps & voices in early hours from top floor (we were in Room 5).

Nice location and outside appearance. Good breakfast. Nice towels with soap, shampoo and shower gel all provided. The rooms could do with redecoration and bedding repaced with duvets.

Location was good Hotel needs a bit of a makeover. The corridor to our room was in bad state. The decor in the large dining/sitting room was impressive however the standard of the crockery was poor. Dirty knives on the floor from previous guests. Wet glasses straight out the dishwasher

For the price I paid I was extremely surprised at the standard of the hotel. I have paid much more in the past and received a much lower standard. Very happy with the hotel... Thanks
