freedom to come and go and excellent breakfast
The welcome was excellent. Breakfast very good. Staff very pleasant. Off road parking.
Flat, hard pillow and only one. First night cold as radiator turned off, no extra blankets.Toilet door hard to close due to carpet. Bed heads not fastened. Kettle hard to plug in behind unit, and had to use cup to fill it. Taps over wash basin very stiff. Shower very small. Rubbish outside windows. 2nd night kept awake due to rain falling hard from broken guttering.
reasonable for price paid - shame about decoration in our room. breakfast good.
although general decor of hotel was reasonable, our room had peeling wallpaper and curtains hanging off rail. Could also feel springs through mattress. Pity - for very little money could redecorate room and update mattress.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good TV. Parking OK
My bedroom was a bit shabby and could have been a bit cleaner. Curtain had come off rail.
Welcoming pleasant staff. Reasonable choice of breakfast food. Good coffee!
Very poor mattresses on beds, curtains hanging off the track & dirty. Very small room for 2 beds difficult to pass the end of bed knobs. Carpet not clean. Nowhere to put things in en-suite ( no chair or surface or hooks on door).
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was great and the room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely return.
Very friendly and responsive staff. Quiet location, a little walk from town centre well within the capabilities of 70 and 80 year olds! Good breakfasts. Good Parking Sitting lounge as well as dining room. Really enjoyed meeting the owners- interesting, charming and helpful
Little things like need for tooth mug and waste paper basket, but willingly rectified. Beds ok, but probably need to be replaced soon.
Everything about it was great, especially the kindness of the owner. I enjoyed a large double, quiet room with 24ins T.V. a good bed and fresh sheets; a shower room, fluffy towels and toiletries. Breakfast offered many choices and was well cooked - the scrambled eggs came up to my own standard. Dining room and lounge well furnished, I liked the 4ft. Chinese vases. Garden and lounging chairs available with views over the city, 15 mins walk away. Car park. What more could you for, at the price.
Lack of sufficient opening windows, but as it was ground floor room security was paramount. Surroundings could be tided up, garden improved, general maintenance, but I am sure these are all on the owners' list of "things to do".
the location, the room
the young man who was at reception was busy telephoning, he should have shown us to our room and should have helped with the luggage.
Lovely breakfast in a very pleasant dining room
Windows in bedroom could have done with a clean
Freindly welcome nice clean hotel , good breakfast choices on offer
Room was a bit dated with the furnature and decor but shower/toilet room modern , but that said i would stay here again
Breakfast was good Convenient to walk into Worcester Pleasant receptionist Clean sheets
Room very dated in need of redecoration Paintwork pealing off walls Shower cubicle very small Carpet badly in need of a vacuum Furniture in room badly stained Mirror so dirty I wrote a message with my finger to 'clean me' in the streaks No plush duvet just old fashioned blankets
Nice big room
There was wall paper falling off the the boarder, there were cobwebs, the bathroom had no glass for cleaning your teeth, the windows were proped up with paper, and the furniture was marked with bad stains &other electric was not up to scratch kettle kept going off,
Not much to be positive about.
Hotel really needs to be bought up to date needs TLC.
Dining room/lounge was pleasant. Breakfast was nice.
Room 9. Dont go there. There was hardly room to move round the bed. There was no mattress protector on the bed. There was an old blanket (some of you might not know what a blanket is)on the bed covered with a bedspread with lots of tears in it. Bathroom was a good size with a shower cubicle to small to wash in. As this was a night away for our anniversary I couldn't understand why my husband had booked it, but when I looked on the booking sight the pictures of the rooms were nice. What a con. Wont go back and may not use booking.com again .
Location very good.
Hotel needs updating. Decor dated.
I had a large bedroom, dining room was bright and clean
Room was shabby, paper peeling off wall, woodwork rotten. Only one thin blanket on bed. Heating on the day it was sunny and warm but not the day when it was wet and cold. Cord to light switch in bathroom was broken - I could only just reach it. Shower worked but was tied up with string. TV did not work properly. Poor choice of breakfast cereals, only white bread. The young woman, who seemed to be the only member of staff, was not very helpful, quite distant although not rude.
location was handy for the end of the canal
there was one member of staff, who wouldn't answer the phone, you had to go outside and ring the doorbell to get her attention. there was no hot water! after trying to sort it out and waiting for 4 hours for a plumber to sort it, we eventually left and went to another hotel. i had walked 30 miles with my mum and step father, (both of whom are in there 70's) i had to find another hotel and pay for the taxi to get us all there. needless to say we won't be recommending this hotel to anyone else.
Close to city
no soap supplied in toilet/bathroom
We tried four different rooms to find a reasonable bed but found most of them were worn out with springs coming through. In the room we finally picked the shower was held together with plastic ties, the basin was cracked, most of the windows wouldn't open and nobody seemed to care. Very disappointing!
Good location and breakfast freshly cooked.
Room was very cramped and was not serviced during our stay.
Food good and friendly staff
Room a bit tired but v clean and this did not affect our overall opinion which was v good
Staff were very polite and friendly. The room was a very good size. The carpet was quite new and very clean.
The place was tired and decor was at least 20 years old. It was shabby and soul less.
Shower good. Heating good. Large room
No comfy chair to sit on in room. Power sockets difficult to get at behind tele and too far away from mirror for wife to get ready.
