Stayed in a family room, very spacious with amazing views. Huge bed!! Perfect location, great breakfast. Very helpful staff. Loved St Aubin
Good location, good sea views, excellent breakfasts, staff were very helpful, clean rooms.
Sharing a balcony with other guests, when it's warmer months I imagine it will become quite busy and don't like the idea of other guests looking in your room.
The beautiful view of St Aubins bay from our room. Bus stop just around the corner to go most places on the island. Bathroom with bath.
Loved the location value for money
Can't think of anything
everything except the shower
shower was cold and feeble
The friendly welcome by staff who remembered us Being able to have a family room with my two teenage offspring Loving the sea view Being so well positioned for airport and eating out Parking may not be outside but it is only a short stroll down the hill to the guesthouse Friendly neighbours when I parked outside their house momentarily to unload our belongings The peppermints in the lounge (a favourite of my daughter!) The breakfast The kindness of the staff accommodating needs such as lactose-free milk and gluten-free bread The weather - which for a short 48-hour stay was just perfect! (even though that was probably not down to the guesthouse!)
My daughter and I are both a little big to share a double bed - a superking would be perfect though, which is what we had in our previous room when we stayed at the guesthouse last time Noisy upstairs neighbours who seem oblivious to the age of the building and the thinness of their floor/our ceiling
Friendliness of staff. Excellent breakfasts. Clean & comfortable.
Could do with some modernisation. Décor very tired looking.
You get what you pay for. Friendly staff, excellent view, location not bad.
Nothing to complain. The staff is not around all the time but that's not a problem.
Basically, we liked everything. Our room was very comfy, large space, excellent sea view, good beds and a common terrace that we really enjoyed. The breakfasts were excellent, a great choice of everything was provided, and each day the breakfast was a splendid start of the day, accompanied by Reluka's (I hope my spelling of her name is correct) kindness and smile that filled us with joy each time. She was always very helpful and kind. The location of the guesthouse is excellent, a short walk away from St.Aubin's centre, but it is in a quiet street and even the sea front of the house is quiet enough as it is a little bit set back from the main road. So, both the house and the staff are great, and we are very happy that we had chosen this guesthouse.
What we didn't like is nothing to do with the house or the staff, but it would relate to certain guests' night-time attitude. It seems that some guests do not realise what a terrible noise a door can create in the silence of the night hours, when they close the door with a bang instead of pulling back the latch with the knob on the inner side of the door when closing the door from inside, or using the key when closing the door from outside and trying to close it as silently as possible. If the guest makes this irritating noise every five minutes around midnight because he/she is just using the internet room and keeps going there and back to the room again every five minutes for some incomprehensible reason, it can be very annoying and sure that you will not be able to sleep if you happen to be in one of the neighbouring rooms. Guests' attention should somehow be drawn to this problem and they should be asked not to make unnecessary noise during the normal hours of sleep.
Location was excellent staff were very friendly
I would of liked breakfast to have been served till 10 am instead of 9am a bit early to finish at 9
Sea Facing room Quiet Location
Wifi didn't "reach my room" so I had to sit on the stairs to get a signal. Nowadays, that's isn't acceptable. Breakfast is only 45 minutes from 8.15-9.00am - not great.
Everything lovely and friendly staff
Stayed here 13th-16th sept group of 3 (2 rooms) visiting jersey to see relatives. Guesthouse was immaculate and cannot stress how friendly and attentive the staff were. Great location 2 mins walk to St Aubins beach front with lots to do all around. Will definately be back.
Really enjoyed the stay very comfortable and in minutes of the beach and excellent view
The breakfasts were lovely as were the couple who run it.
We thought it needed a lot of updating. A little noisy in the evening when full banging doors.
The staff were very friendly and helpful - very accommodating about arrival and departure times/storage luggage. It is in a pretty, quiet street located well for restaurants, bus routes and bike hire. Great view from the balcony. They do a nice cooked breakfast.
The walls are thin, so we could hear a lot of noise from nearby rooms. Some of the food is basic/packaged - eg instant coffee, reconstituted orange drink (a bit sugary tasting). But this is in keeping with the price.
Excellent location near shops and bus stations. Staff very friendly and helpful
Bed was really comfy
Breakfast was really greasy
Great location, charming hosts and good food.
We loved every moment at this guesthouse. The staff were so friendly & helpful, food great, room comfy & location perfect. We shall return !! Tom Mahoney & Shirley Todd
Road works in the village caused traffic chaos -just bad luck !
The view from the balcony was amazing and our room had a door out to the balcony, loved it. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were the most comfortable i have ever slept on. Would 100% book this guest house again. Breakfast was lovely and the people here were very friendly.
The only thing i would say is that the bathroom could do with modernizing. Having said that it was very clean.
After several emails confirming the booking ...our room was double booked... they did sort a room at another guest house close by
Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent. Comfy beds and excellent blackout.
The guest house is a listed building in the heart of St Aubin, close to bus stops and lovely restaurants. It is not modern but my husband and I did not book a holiday to look at the fixtures and fittings. The hospitality of Ralucca and George is fantastic. They are definitely two Jersey pearls who look after you throughout your stay there. The breakfast is fantastic. We will go back next year and years to come in the future.
