The leisure facilities (pools)
The furniture is very worn.
I needed to change arrival times which I was still unable to keep but there was no problem on arrival at 2.30am and we were shown to our delightful and very clean room in the hotel.
Nothing to report
Stayed here in august 2014 for an overnight stay before getting a ferry from dover the next day. Arrived late - security very helpful letting us in. Good breakfast the next day. Room was clean and bed fairly comfortable.....
Unfortunately our room was by the bar and some children were playing football outside until 1am we were exhausted the next day! Shower randomly switched off throughout use and the toilet didn't flush.
All was very nice
Value for money Friendly staff Closeness for Dover Castle,Ferries,Walmer Castle,Deal Castle and seaside resorts. Clean modern room Swimming pool Easy parking Family friendly TV with loads of channels PLUS a DVD player A very pleasant experience way better than national hotel chains
For such an excellent price there is nothing to dislike
Location. Comfort. Cleanliness. Facilities.
Pub and Restaurant on site
Good value for money if you want to stay somewhere and get an early ferry. Plenty of parking and rooms were very clean.
Bar and restaurant facilities let down the overall attractiveness of the hotel. Hotel directions should state that it is a part of the holiday park / caravan site, might be easier to find.
Hard to find, unless you realise this is not a hotel, but a run down building on a caravan park. Terrible staff, broken bed, door handle fell off twice, no safe in room, terrible shower. Horrible restaurant. No wifi in rooms.. Avoid at all costs! Or book a caravan- they seemed nicer!
+ pool/spa included + close to Dover ferry + fairly secluded therefore hardly traffic noise
- small & soft beds - adjacent rooms poorly soundproofed - no 230V shaver plug
clean and fresh, more than one pillow, good towels easy, safe parking lovely area, several pubs for evening out perfect for ferry port
unable to ventilate room at night as our rooms had patio doors and no windows. public used small strip in front to push through to their rooms, looking in window?smokers
We went on a special deal so the room was cheap. Food was good but having to go to bar to order ruined ambiance. Went down for breakfast but not ready 8:30
One big towel supplied for two people, given 3 little towels instead. Bath is suitable only for sitting in and high so difficult to get in and out. No grab rail. Bedside lamp was not repaired. Beds were adequate but noisy and one was not 4 square but listed. Toilet overflowed all night.
Friendly staff room clean ok for overnight stay for the Ferry
Bed too hard !!
Clean rooms, friendly staff
A little isolated if you do not have a car.
Everything was fine. This hotel is a part of holiday park so we straggeled to find it. The pool is very good. Very good place for staying for a week.
The shower was dodgy so I can't make comfortable water temp for me. Everything else was pretty good.
Good position, room very clean
You can hear in the corridor and in the others rooms
relaxed restaurant and bar easy check-in convenient parking proximity to Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club
bedroom doors banged when closed due to springs on doors
Good location for going to Dover etc. not really a hotel. It's on a caravan site.
Not quite a hotel, more like student accommodation. It's ok for a sleep over for one night.
Simple check in, good directions to room, all clean and no problems, parking outside the window
Excellent base to look around Dover and also for an early ferry to France. Very reasonably priced and good food.
Quiet location,good facilities.
We had a ground floor room in the hotel. There was only a patio door for ventilation (no window or air con)as it was a very hot night we had to sleep with the patio door open,so felt vulnerable. No hand towels in the room, which seemed odd.Tea and coffee making facilities were advertised with the room, but we only had two tea bags,we asked for some more at reception, were promised they would be delivered to our room but never materialised. We ended up going out to buy some!
Most of the staff were very friendly. There was good value breakfast options and imagine it would be a great place for kids.
Our window didn't open properly which made the room unbearably hot. When we asked at reception we were told it was a 'safety thing' (window had previously been fully open when we first arrived in the day, we then closed it for security when we went out) we then inquired as to how we were to release the safety mechanism so we could get some air into our room, the reply was a very unhelpful 'don't know' Subsequently we had a very poor and uncomfortable nights sleep. We wouldn't stay here again.
Location used as a stopover before catching ferry , cheap
Clean and hospitable.
Big problem with a toilet flush which would not stop running. Kept me awake all night and I had paid for the hotel in order to get a good night's sleep before a nearly 8 hour drive across France the next day. The night security man was very kind and polite but said that he could not help me, which included helping me to open a panel behind the toilet to turn off the water! An easy procedure, but 'not possible'. Extremely hot in the room; not possible to open a window (ground floor) and no air conditioning. Also, the girl (Sally-Ann) in reception refused me a receipt for my cash payment.
