St. Margaret's Hotel

Very Clean.

Our room was separated from another room by a door only. And our neighbors were noisy

1. outer door handle was loose 2. light fitting in bathroom was hanging down exposing electrical wires 3. food was slow coming out and when it did eventually come out, one side was cold (due to it being microwaved food)

Good value for for money, felt secure for motorbike.

It was convenient to our friend's celebration.

I have only one complaint - but it is a very big one. On entering the room it stank of cigarette smoke - this is illegal apart from being disgusting. I had to get a Room Spray from Reception, I sprayed the room, bedding, curtains, carpet etc five times and had to sit in the room with the patio doors open for two hours to try and rid the room of the awful smell so we could sleep in it later. The excellent spa facilities and the gym

Some of the furniture is quite run down, but I suppose the price makes up for this.

The helpfulness of the night staff to make our short stay very comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed.

One sachet of milk was opened and sour, The off and on switch on the kettle was not working in bedroom number2. The sliding doors on the ground floor could not be opened, so the night staff kindly accommodated us in a room upstairs.

Fantastic pool

Horrible microwaved food in the restaurant. Very hard beds and flat pillows.

Good facilities, and spacious clean bedrooms.

Breakfast quite expensive and took quite a while for us to be served as no one there untl after 7.30am opening time. Also a little bit further out than first led to believe.

We had a wonderful overnight stay on the way to France, meeting our son and grandchildren at the Hotel. The pools are really lovely, the food and service was excellent.

Was not obvious that hotel on a holiday park called something else. Never saw a sign actually saying 'St Margarets Hotel' on approach so got a bit lost on arrival.Mite be nice for them to consider a nice sign. Even when in reception UNSURE?? Didnt like the restaurant in the hotel. Was frezing, very basic menu - some pictures on the basic menu would have been nice to appeal to couples and families. We ended up going into the village despite being starving and spending far more than we wanted!

Great location close to dover, even though we didn't use the pool or spa it looked good, only had breakfast here but very nice and value for money was great. Only here for the weekend but would definitely come back for a longer stay and recommend to others, very nice and welcoming staff. Also I left my medicines there by mistake, they are kindly posting them to me, great customer service!

When we first arrived our first room had what looks like been the scene of a fight with a hole in the bathroom door from a punch, a rip in the curtain and damaged lampshade. When we went to reception to tell them they changed our room straight away, again great customer service!

Rooms were clean and a good size. Friendly staff. Good value accomodation rates. We didn't use the pool but it looked great. Bar menu was varied and sensibly priced. Service was good.

Toilet too close to the wall for comfort. No real ale in the bar.

The staff were really friendly.

Noise of the extractor fan in bathroom, should have reported it during our stay as I am sure it would have been fixed immediately.

The location was really nice. The spa was lovely and the room and facilities were really good value for money. It was clean and ideal for what we wanted. Good value for money. Would also suit families because there are plenty of things for children. The staff were really nice.

We arrived I know at a quiet time of the season but it had been described as fun for children with children facility's . When I arrived there was only one evening meal to choose, we ordered a take away but had to pay for the out of range delivery. We had to Waite two hours for the food to arrive when told up to fourty minutes,by this time my son was to tired to eat it. In the morning we went for a swim and the large pool we couldn't use at first as their was a lesson and the jacuzzi was not in use. We went up to our room where now the toilet didn't flush. The two staff where very nice, but I feel this was very misleading description of the hotel with saying entertainment ect, I took my son away for a fun little break and was very upset to have to pay for a take away meal costing alot ,when at a hotel saying about large variety of food at good value that was not available . Especially a four star hotel I would have expected food and breakfast to be available .I would be grateful for a replie back. Miss m Ely .

We visited at a quiet time of the year and really enjoyed our stay. We had an adjoining room for the children with a connecting door between our two rooms; the swimming-pools/jacuzi/sauna were really great; the staff were friendly and helpful ~ and the location was ideal for visits to Deal and Dover and beyond ~ thank you!

Clean modern rooms. Swimming pool. Good location for day trip to france or visiting Dover Castle.

This was our 2nd visit to the hotel, we had no problems on the previous occasion. However this time the shower was unreliable, had to hold the knob up manually for hot water to come out - bit tricky whilst trying to shower. Swimming Pool had limited opening hours during our stay (10am -4pm between christmas and New Year) making it difficult to use the pool and visit any local attractions. This was disappointing as our main reason for choosing this hotel was the pool. We could have found somewhere much cheaper without a pool. Only one sachet of coffee in the room and when we asked we were told we couldn't have any more! Not too much to ask surely, especially considering the price of the room has gone up 40% since our last visit earlier in the year. No hairdrier in the room and no internet.
