Very good flat.
We have got another appartment than we ordered. Apart from the center. Bad location.
Very pleasant helpful management/staff who assisted us in relocating to the guest house after encountering problems with the apartment. Location of guest house when we were relocated. Comfortable bed.
Poor directions and difficulty locating the apartment. Finding no hot water and no wifi details on arrival. No welcome pack with any information. Poor maintenance of apartment.

If you pay to stay in a 3 bed apartment and pay for secure parking then this is what I would have expected. Nightmare getting a key only to be told on phone that we wouldn't be staying in St Matthews Apartments at all! We were given an envelope with a key for 38 Bailey House no instructions how to get there or reasons why the booking had changed! The place was right by Cambridge train station so could hear all the train announcers and had no secure parking and only 2 beds! I feel we were ripped off! 2 adults and a teenager and child and one sofa and a rickety table. No comfort at all for something that was classed as luxurious! Do not book this as you will be disappointed.
Were contacted to collect keys were upgraded to another apartment that was in a great location . Apartment was clean and comfortable and had a lovely balcony and parking at the front.
We were "upgraded" to another flat, so this very positive review is not about St Matthews flat. We were in a large comfortable flat in one of the new apartment buildings right behind the station, so more central than St Mat. The staf was adorable, very helpful and you know you're in Cambridge when the young man in charge talks about the value of literary criticism after 10 minuts of conversation! Priceless!
Nothing, we got very lucky.
We got upgraded to a newer apartment that was in a different location. A hotel chain called Regency Guest House manages these apartments. Everything was clean and spacious. The apartment was near the train station. Everything was easy to arrange and we had a comfortable stay. Thanks!
The staff and I emailed several times and they were very slow to respond in some cases. At one point they asked me when I was arriving and I responded, only to have them ask the same question again. They just seemed a little absent-minded. It wasn't a huge deal; I finally gave up on email and just called because they didn't seem to "get it" ;)
Very disappointing- we did not recieve ANY COMMUNICATIION from owners prior to arrival!phone numbers supplied were wrong!!! Had to go into pub to get phone number- was told we would recieve communication and remuneration next day but again no communication recieved. No mention of road closures due to bike race and original booking changed apparently to upgrade but this was in a poorer area!! Would never stay again!!
Service of owners- no communication prior to arrival re key pick up and address- nothing in room to welcome us not even a map into town which was a 30 minute walk away!

We could have done with some soap. It would also have been helpful when I phoned up in the morning if I had been reminded where I had to pick up the key
I was very pleasantly surprised by the accommodation after reading reviews here. However upon arrival we were upgraded to a lovely apartment in a nice area and it was spotless. No complaints about anything at all.
The staff (yoursef in particular) were very helpful. I was able to use the parking all day the following day and I got an upgrade!
It has full use of cooking stuff and very handy. the rooms are spacious enough and very good attitude of staff and customer service.
kitchen appliances such as cooker seems to be somewhat difficult to use. And the kettle was so dirty that we could not use it.

The apartment was great value for money, spacious and comfortable. It is in a great location close to the city attractions.
We couldn't use Internet and is not to contact someone from the hotel in case there is any problem
Impossible to locate the apartment which is in a large complex. The owners send an email with information about how to collect the key and this went directly to the spam inbox and was discovered by chance only. There is only a two hour window of opportunity to collect the key for the apartment. We had made a three night booking and arrived late in Cambridge so telephoned the owners to make alternative arrangements to collect the key but calls all went to message bank and we were unable to get into the property. We then had to find and pay for alternative accommodation that night. The next day we telephoned again but no reply. We eventually collected the key the following afternoon. Poor service - would not recommend this property.
