Beautiful and characterful place. Great breakfast.
The wi-fi signal was practically non-existent in the bedroom!
Vegetarian Breakfast!!! Informed prior to our stay that we were vegetarians and were excited to be treated in the morning with veggie bacon AND sausages, which is a rare departure from the standard fry-up minus meat we would normally be offered. Good selection of food and well cooked. So refreshing to be able to arrive after 12pm and maximise the time available. Fantastic value for money and beautiful setting.Would be lovely to return in the summer and enjoy the balcony.
Good value , lovely cooked breakfast, room very comfortable and spacious. All staff very friendly, helpful. Good situation to travel anywhere on the island.Would definitely recommend
Parking car on a high slope, especially if hotel was full.
The friendless of the staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, food and general ambiance.
Although WiFi was supposed to be available, we could never log on.
great breakfast parking staff
Everything was great.
Friendly, helpful service. Very clean Excellent breakfast Good location
The pillows to hard and window for breakfast far to small
Excellent location and size
Shower was very weak
Good breakfast and nice gardens
Shower awful - low pressure and loose.
I thought the accommodation was good and the food was excellent value for money. The staff were pleasant and accommodating and would put themselves out to make sure you enjoyed your stay.
Just one problem in my view and that was the lack of a small lift. The stairs were steep and lifting luggage up the stairs could be a problem to older people.
All staff extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful. Meals were all very good value, well cooked and presented. Our room and en suite were bright, large and comfortable. The gardens were well maintained and attractive. An added bonus was that the owner used his own home-grown vegetables in his cooking.
WiFi reception was dependent upon where in the building you were.
The breakfast was great, staff friendly and the rooms were comfortable
The shower was very poor and the noise from the kitchen early in the morning was a bit loud
The rooms were spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
The reception and staircase were a little shabby, but perfectly clean, and this in no way detracted from the pleasure of our stay.
So friendly. Clean. Quiet. Lovely.
A well managed hotel with the accent on detail.
The welcome from a friendly owner and all his staff. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
What's not to like!!?
Lovely people, good location and period house with veranda view. Good sized bed.
Very dated decor, bath too small, Lino floor and under par shower, that was really for hair washing only. Pine furniture and stark overhead light
Lovely rooms and views. Good location . Friendly
Unable to get wi-fi in room
It was very nice, breakfast pretty good and quiet location.
A wander to the front was great but it's a bit too far from the the esplanade and the walk down [and back up!] to the front is pretty steep. Something to bear in mind if you're not so nimble on your feet.
Location was good, and the room was clean and very spacious.
The decor was a little dated, but tidy enough. The staff were ok, but not as attentive as they could have been. Breakfast was a little disappointing on the first day, better on the second. But for the price you have expected better quality sausages and bacon. We did feel that it was a little over priced for what you actually got.
Very friendly and attentive staff, excellent choice for breakfast and as much as you like. The room was clean and comfortable and not far from reception. Large bathroom (wet room) with plenty of towels. 10 minute walk from town center.
I can't say that I disliked anything.
Friendliness of staff, great room with balcony, excellent breakfasts, loved the location near Botanical Gardens.
