Great location, comfortable and relaxing with nice Rooms and interior.
Moderate - expensive price. Specially Requested top floor room and sadly request was not met. Beds are reasonable, not as luxurious as expected.
Room size is good with view And nice staff
Great Hotel. Lovely location. Brilliant if you like golf, but still lovely for others who don't. Lovely spa area and pool.
Unfortunately fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, otherwise - Great.. Expensive treatments at spa...
Everything was perfect will return, great gym pool & spa
Peace and facilities
Goods facilities especially for golfers, pool, gym all the stuff. Okay location not bad all around.
The food can be a bit on or off. Not that great to be honest but if you need to eat its not too bad. Breakfast disappointing though.
This was our second time here and looking forward to the third!! The staff are excellent especially the staff who look after you in restaurant /breakfast area. The room was clean and tidy, the bed huge. Again we never had time to use the leisure facilities. Looking forward to going back in the future.
Fantastic swimming pools
Wifi was absolutely hopeless. Painfully slow when it did work and unfortunately it is one of the most important things I require when booking accomodation.
Quiet Location Nice views over golf course
Squeaky noisy floors, Restaurant food quality & service poor
Staff very good Good food
Only one restaurant open. Balcony was not private as described on website
All aspects of the resort were fantastic the food the location the spa Brilliant
Relaxing setting perfect pool and jacuzzi sauna
The creche and leisure facilities were excellent!!Staff were lovely!Rooms were very clean and comfortable:)
Only small gripes but would have made a difference to us-unfortunately no minibar!Garlic bread was dry and tasteless! The curtains let in light from the top!!
1.) Our stay was spoilt by non-adherence of other guests to the hotel's non-smoking room and balcony policy. There are wonderful views over the course and countryside, but not when you have to suffer second-hand smoke through your own balcony door and the "clean air" policy is ignored. 2.) On the one occasion that we used the on-site restaurant, one evening meal was served cold.
Food nice enough, but a little pricey.
Visiting family, staying overnight only, would definitely recommend.
Lovely room, comfy bed, nice breakfast and great value.
bit of a maze!
We loved the location of St Mellion and the surroundings. The staff were well trained and attentive and the food was good. The room had a lovely view over the course.
Unfortunately our room was immediately over the bar where there were seats outside. On our first night some folks sat out there chatting until nearly 1am. We had hoped to eat in An Boesti on the evening of our anniversary but it is not open on Mon and Tue. To be fair we had not checked this before booking but assumed it would be open all week in the summer. 25th anniversary in the bar was not quite the same!
All staff were very welcoming and helpful. I probably would not return unless the hotel had a good offer to play golf and stay.
We were particurlay disappointed with the Kernow course in so far as there were several holes that were not signposted and we did not where to go and also on 2 blind holes to the green there were no white marker posts to give an indication on where to go. We were also disappointed that there was not any hole layouts shown on any tee box and feel that there should be no need to buy a course planner. Our food was very good despite service very slow on our second night (Weds 24th July).
Room was quite comfortable
Creaky Floors in corridors & bedroom Slow Wi-Fi No mobile phone coverage Expensive Breakfast
Great location, cottage, peace, pool, cleanliness, staff.
The bed was very uncomfortable. The springs were coming through the mattress. I couldn't sleep
Having stayed here a couple of years ago &enjoyed it, decided to stay again whilst in the area. Overall very happy - clean, modern golf hotel and spa with lovely rooms -huge beds and a view I could never get bored of. Husband played golf on the very challenging course and I made use of the swimming pool - great size , facilities were fine. Resort perfectly placed on border between Devon and Cornwall so easy to explore both areas, particularly Plymouth and Dartmoor and only an hour from Padstow and the north Cornish coast which is just stunning. Great value for money . Breakfast could have been organised a bit better - chaotic on our second morning. Didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as found some great local pubs.
Chaos at breakfast - particularly second morning. Took ages for tea and coffee to arrive and water to be replenished when dining room not that busy at all. Food just OK - reasonable choice of usual hot & cold buffet but felt it could have been upgraded.Staff generally ok and helpful but not enthusing a warm welcome or love of their jobs - lacks a bit of soul ! Would love to see more use made of the patio area overlooking the 18th hole - perhaps some large umbrella's and flowers in pots to make it more welcoming/attractive?
Location- Rooms- Staff and Pool /Spa facilities were excellent. The accommodation was great value for money.
Both the quality and standard of the food was very poor despite very highly priced. e.g. a jacket potato garnished with soggy lettuce and crisps!! The golf courses were 75% empty no doubt reflecting exhorbitent green fees, The location seems to confused between corporate prices and those that individuals are prepared to pay. No surprise the empty and unfinished lodges
The hotel itself and the grounds are amazing. Rooms are a good size and the bathroom is also a good size. The one problem i think this hotel has is it has no experience in the staff they are all young so silly mistakes happen.
No experienced staff
Nice reception, good facilities, decent food at the brasserie.
Corridor carpets looked a little grotty, booked a double bed and got two singles pushed together.
