Nice breakfast. Comfy beds Free bottles of water.

No parking. Couldn't contact owners to ask about parking. Said phone number would divert to their mobiles but only got voice mail where they advise you not to leave a message. Wifi wouldn't reach to the top floor so wouldn't connect.

The place looked very nice from the outside on website, but we were very impressed with the room when we arrived. It was very clean & tidy & had a contemporary feel to it with modern appliances. Zoe was a lovely landlady & the breakfast that she made for us was exceptional. I would fully recommend St Raphael, to anyone!

The rain! That's the only thing that spoiled our trip to York!

the locality to the city centre was good, within easy walking distance. the cooked breakfast was very good.

the shambles room was quite small and only had room for 1 chair and it meant sitting on the bed.

Very friendly hotel in a quiet setting. Perfectly located to access the centre of York by foot so the car can be left in the reserved parking bays adjacent to the hotel. Friendly owners, very clean....nothing to dislike. This was our first visit but we will definately come back.

Warm welcome on arrival. Clean & comfortable room. Breakfast room light and airy. Very central for exploring York.

Breakfast, although very well presented, was overcooked - especially the bacon, which was dry and leathery.

Quiet central location. Good quality sausage for breakfast, which is a thing that many B&Bs seem to skimp on. Delicious home made bread. Friendly but busy, family owned, sadly we only had a chance to chat with Zoe as we were leaving.

We didn't receive the pre arrival information email about access to the building and had to make a couple of phone calls to get the key code. Staff are only there 9-12. I wish I'd booked direct with the hotel not through a booking agency.
