The staff were friendly and welcoming The swimming pool was a lovely oasis of peace and calm The location - right opposite the sea
The excellent food and service
We love this hotel
The friendliness and welcome from the staff -nothing too much trouble.
The staff especially friendly and helpful particularly to our 2 year old granddaughter, lovely food and nothing too much trouble - of course we would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Good staff, good food, quality location and most of all the view.Plus everything was within walking distance,
Noise of seagulls early in morn.A bit more sound proofing would be the answer.
Whirlpool bath Champagne Food
Staff were helpful and friendly, particularly the excellent lady on reception.
Suite was smaller than implied in photos
Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Hotel could do with a bit of an update, stains on the wallpaper in the room.
parking is a real issue
Food in restaurant excellent both for breakfast and dinner. Very efficient and friendly staff. Excellent location for sea view room.
The location was fab, the food was absolutely top, the staff were friendly and helpful. A really lovely holiday break.
A bit too much chlorine/chemicals in the indoor pool
greeting when we arrived, acceptance of our (very big) dog, spacious shower in the bath tub with good water regulation (consistant temperature), support of any questions, professionality of the staff,
one water tap had a problem, parking spots in that area very limited (even though you get a free permit to park from the hotel),
Service as good as any ever experienced. Food exceptionally good.
Decor living in the past, somewhat 1970s- ready for an upgrade.
Comfort and cleanliness of the room, great views from the dormer bedroom, lovely breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff.
tired decor difficult parking very small bedrooms
The location...I liked that the hotel was close to the seafront with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. There is tram within walking distance that takes you up to the Orme which has stunning views. Most of the staff made every effort to be polite and helpful. The lady behind the bar was very nice and gave us good advice about visiting the Orme.
In view of the price I was very disappointed with this hotel. We paid £230 per night for a family room. On arrival, all three of us were taken aback by the overwhelming smell of the place. It was a mixture of stale cooking and what can only be described as reminiscent of "bodily fluids" The whole place reminded me of visiting an elderly relative in a old peoples home. There is a parking garage behind the hotel but cars are often double parked and you are required to leave your key with reception so they could move it. We were not at all happy with this particularly as there is a sign in the parking area disclaiming all responsibility for cars parked there. Our room overlooked the back of another hotel and was above the kitchen so sadly more cooking smells. The room itself was clean enough despite the tired decor. In the corridor a curtain had been torn at some point and apparently a paperclip was the only thing available to fix it with. We only ate breakfast so have no idea what the other meals were like. Breakfast was pretty poor and on 2 mornings returned the food untouched. Porridge was watery and poached eggs over cooked. The explanation given by the very sweet breakfast waitress was that "they had a different chef today". The swimming pool was small as expected but we had to alert reception 15 minutes before we wanted to swim as it was not constantly available and had to be uncovered each time. On one occasion, whilst at the bar, a glass of wine got knocked over and the gentleman behind the bar made no attempt to assist us. We had to ask for a cloth. I had great expectations for this hotel but the photos and write up are very misleading. I would say it is a less than impressive hotel which is desperately trying to be something it is not. Very over priced and underwhelming!
Home-made biscuits Fresh milk in mini-bar Friendly / helpful staff Breakfast excellent
Prefer wooden floors to carpets.
Service and food fantastic
Room extremely comfortable. Efficient, respectful, friendly and informative staff. Good choice of fabulous food. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was made special with unexpected extra touches. We have already booked for next year! !
We couldn't find any faults.
We loved everything about St Tudno and cannot fault anything. We booked very late and were concerned as not stayed in privately owned hotel for many years preferring the large chains. St Tudno has changed our view and we will certainly look to privately owned hotels in future and will certainly visit St Tudno again hopefully very soon.Well done everyone
Absolutely nothing we did not like, sorry!
Excellent cuisine Short walk to the promenade Afternoon teas
Funerial atmosphere in the restaurant. My room should have been 100% then I wouldn't have had to complain. The Premier Inn chain has better, top quality rooms.
Very Friendly and efficient welcome. Lovely touches in room (carton of fresh milk, cafetiere for coffee, tea coffee restocked on first day) . Hotel was spotless and in great position we felt at home.
It was extremely hot in room as was one of the warmest days of the year. I could have asked for a fan but thought about it too late in evening. When I mentioned it in the morning receptionist said could have supplied one. Wish had asked as would have avoided the discomfort.
location, intimacy, decor,and historical connections.
We loved the hotel. Food was out of this world. Staff were very helpful. Next time we are going to upgrade
Our room although beautifully appointed was a bit on the small side. Shower took a bit of getting used to
